Defining Style

September 2026 PUBLISHER

KC Cole | KC.Cole@CityLifestyle.com E D I TO R

As the seasons change, style becomes more than what we wear. It becomes an expression of where we are, what we value, and how we choose to experience the world around us. In this issue, we celebrate fashion not simply as a trend, but as a reflection of craftsmanship, creativity, philanthropy, and the people who bring our community to life. We begin by highlighting the exceptional local boutiques, jewelers, and specialty retailers that define luxury shopping throughout Potomac, Bethesda, Rockville, and Washington, D.C. Our Around Town guide for the Modern Gentleman showcases distinguished destinations where timeless tailoring, fine watches, exceptional footwear, and refined grooming create a wardrobe built to last. Beyond the boutiques, fashion comes alive through experiences. We look back at memorable style events celebrated with Potomac Lifestyle and spend time with Hoda Kotb as she shares the art of finding joy, reminding us that confidence and authenticity remain life’s greatest accessories. Wellness and beauty take center stage with Vishka Skincare Medical Spa, where personalized care meets medical expertise, while entrepreneur, artist, chef, and event planner DJ Nava demonstrates that creativity knows no boundaries. For those inspired by travel, Seize the Trek transports readers from luxurious escapes to an insider’s guide to Paris, the enduring capital of fashion and the birthplace of the iconic Birkin bag. This issue also celebrates purpose alongside style. Photographer Erica Land continues to use her extraordinary talent to bring hope and awareness to families affected by childhood cancer, proving that art can inspire compassion and meaningful change. Stephanie Weiss of I’m Sitting Pretty offers her expert perspective on the season’s defining trends while reminding us that true style is built on confidence rather than passing fashions. Finally, we highlight what never goes out of fashion: generosity. Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland’s 7th Annual Polo Classic demonstrates how elegance and philanthropy can come together to strengthen communities and create lasting impact. Whether you are refreshing your wardrobe, planning your next adventure, discovering local businesses, or finding inspiration in those who give back, we hope this issue encourages you to embrace a life that is as purposeful as it is beautifully lived. Because while trends may evolve, grace, generosity, and authenticity will always remain in style. May your days be defined by elegance, purpose, and the confidence to make every moment beautifully your own. KC C O L E , P U B L I S H E R @ P OTO M AC L I F E S T Y L E D C

ASK THE VET

Q: It’s been so hot lately—how do I know if my dog is at risk for heat stroke, and what can I do to prevent it? A: Great question — and one we hear a lot this time of year. Heat stroke is one of the most dangerous (and often preventable) emergencies we see during the summer months. Unlike humans, dogs don’t sweat to cool off; they rely on panting, which isn’t always enough in extreme temperatures.

Here are some simple ways to help keep your dog safe:

Love Us? Tell a Friend!

Refer a friend to Veterinary Park Potomac and you’ll both get rewarded! You’ll get $100, They’ll get $100! It’s our way of saying thank you for trusting us with the pets you love—and the ones your friends love, too.

Avoid Midday Walks

Ask us for details next time you’re in!

Take It Easy Outside

Know the signs of Heat Exhaustion

www.veterinaryparkpotomac.com 240-728-2550 | 12525 Park Potomac Ave (Around the corner from Harris Teeter!)

If you suspect your dog is overheating, bring them indoors, wet them with cool (not ice-cold) water, and call your vet immediately. Fast action can truly be lifesaving. - Dr. Katie Malehorn

Art, fashion, and purpose unite to champion children facing cancer

Portraits of Hope

Each September, the color gold serves as a powerful reminder of the courage displayed by children and families facing childhood cancer. Each year, nearly 15,000 children and adolescents in the United States are diagnosed with pediatric cancer, uniting researchers, physicians, philanthropists, and communities in the shared mission of creating healthier futures for every child. Encouragingly, advances in research and treatment have increased five year survival rates to approximately 85 percent, yet thousands of families continue to face the emotional, physical, and financial realities of a childhood cancer diagnosis. Inspired by both hope and purpose, acclaimed portrait photographer Erica Land, founder of ELP Gives Back, has partnered with Lindsey Wolf, owner of Sunset on Midsummer, to create a meaningful collaboration in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout September, Sunset on Midsummer will become an immersive destination where art, fashion, and philanthropy converge. At the heart of the experience is a compelling portrait exhibition by Land featuring her Fierce Images dance ambassadors, young artists who have dedicated their voices and talents to raising awareness for childhood cancer. Through striking portraiture and heartfelt storytelling, the exhibition

encourages visitors to look beyond a diagnosis and celebrate the resilience, joy, and extraordinary strength of children whose stories deserve to be seen. The collaboration reflects a shared belief that beautiful spaces can inspire meaningful conversations and lasting impact. Guests will have opportunities to experience the exhibition, participate in fundraising initiatives benefiting Dance Hope Cure/Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation, and discover ways to support children and families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys. “Photography has the power to tell stories that inspire compassion and action,” says Land. “Lindsey and I share a passion for creating experiences that connect people, and we hope this collaboration reminds every family facing childhood cancer that they are seen, supported, and never alone.” Together, Land and Wolf envision this September initiative becoming an annual tradition that continues to grow in both awareness and impact, demonstrating that when creativity, generosity, and community come together, they have the power to illuminate hope and create lasting change. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a journalism degree in 1986, Hoda Kotb returned to the home of her mother, Sameha, in Alexandria, Virginia, with a diploma and a dream of launching her broadcast career. Sporting a stylish new green suit and an abundance of confidence, she set out on a road trip that would test her resolve. “I told my mom, ‘I’m going to get that job, and I’ll be back to pack my stuff,’ ” she recently recalled. Her first stop was Richmond. It didn't go as planned. The news director watched barely a minute of her precisely prepared audition tape before delivering a blunt verdict that she was "green, inexperienced, and simply not ready.” He sent her to a colleague in Roanoke, where she met the same cold reception. The rejections piled up. From Memphis and Birmingham to the Florida Panhandle, Hoda faced 27 face-to-face rejections over 10 days. The industry consensus was clear: “She didn't have it." Defeated and driving home, she spotted a sign for Greenville, Mississippi's News Center 15. On a whim, she met with news director Stan Sandroni. This time, the reaction was different. "Stan couldn't take his eyes off the tape," Hoda said. "He looked at me and said, ‘I like what I see.’ I started sobbing like a baby. That man gave me my break," she explained during a recent National Conference for Women event. That "yes" launched a legendary career that led to Dateline NBC and eventually the anchor chair at Today, from 2018 to 2025. Her takeaway remains a universal lesson: “All it takes is one yes,” she said. “Don’t walk past

an open door, because you never know what is around the next corner.” Now the 61-year-old mother to two daughters —Haley Joy, age 9, and Hope Catherine, 7— Hoda has entered a new chapter, recently launching Joy 101, a wellness app dedicated to support reflection, mindfulness, and intentional living.

Q&A WITH HODA KOTB:

How did you persevere through difficult times? Sometimes you feel like you are always going upstream, and you are exhausted, and are sure it will get easier. It’s about finding the ‘flow.’ I believe that taking a jump is worth it, whether into a new job or a relationship. If it doesn’t work, you simply regroup and try again. If it does go well, it’s a home run. Why leave the Today show after such success? It was a scary jump because I loved my colleagues (Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie) like family. But in my 50s, I realized I had the dream job and, more importantly, the family I never thought I’d have. I wanted to see what it felt like to be a "beginner" again in my 60s. What sparked that career shift? About a year ago, I was watching my six-yearold daughter, Hope, go up and down a tree in our front yard, and she mentioned that maybe I should find ‘a different tree to climb,’ referring to my career. It was exactly what I needed to hear. She taught me to carve my life up like a ‘delicious pie’ to make it more manageable. CONTINUED >

What is your main message to others? It is never too late. Put down your ‘heavy backpack’ and find whatever makes you happy. Tell us about your new project, Joy 101. I have put all of the goodness into my app, Joy 101. It’s an app designed to lift people up with pep talks and wellness tips. I want to share things that make you feel good and ways to make your body feel good. Let’s put that big load down, throw our shoulders back, and understand that life can be lighter, better, and more invigorating. I want to be like Mr. Rogers and say, ‘Let’s find the helpers, because we are right here!’

How did you decide on later-in-life motherhood? I thought that door had closed after my divorce until I saw Sandra Bullock adopt her son at my exact age. I realized it was still possible. When I finally got the text that Haley Joy was here, I wrote down the time of the text, and it was 11:54 a.m., and I knew this was the moment when everything changed. She fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece and filled me up in a way I could never have imagined.

VISHK A SKINCARE M E D I C A L S PA Vishka Skincare Medical Spa is a luxury aesthetic and wellness practice specializing in personalized, evidence-based treatments, including advanced laser procedures, RF microneedling, injectables, medical-grade skincare, regenerative therapies, and customized anti-aging solutions ARTICLE BY ELIZABETH MCKINLEY PHOTOGRAPHY BY TONY POWELL

Luxury skincare isn’t defined by the number of products on your vanity, but by the precision behind each choice. According to the experts at Vishka Skincare Medical Spa, lasting results begin with a professional skin assessment and a personalized regimen, where medical grade skincare and consistency take precedence over passing trends. Q1. IF SOMEONE COULD ONLY DO THREE THINGS CONSISTENTLY FOR HEALTHIER, YOUNGER-LOOKING SKIN, WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? Wear sunscreen every day, use a personalized medical-grade skincare routine, and invest in collagen-stimulating treatments. Consistency is key to long-term skin health. Q2. THERE IS SO MUCH SKINCARE ADVICE ONLINE TODAY. HOW CAN READERS SEPARATE FACT FROM FICTION? Choose science over social media. Trust qualified medical professionals who provide evidence-based recommendations tailored to your skin. Q3. WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON CONCERNS WOMEN COME TO YOU WITH, AND WHAT SOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE? We commonly treat aging, pigmentation, acne, skin laxity, and uneven texture. Advanced lasers, RF microneedling, injectables, and regenerative treatments deliver natural-looking, non-surgical results with minimal downtime. Q4. HOW DOES SKIN CHANGE AS WE AGE, AND WHAT SHOULD WOMEN DO DIFFERENTLY? Collagen naturally declines with age. Prevention in your 30s, maintenance in your

40s, and restoring skin quality and hydration in your 50s and beyond are essential. Q5. WHY IS PREVENTION SO IMPORTANT? It's easier to preserve healthy skin than correct advanced aging. Preventive treatments slow collagen loss and help maintain natural results. Q6. WHEN SHOULD SOMEONE STOP TRYING OVER-THE-COUNTER PRODUCTS AND SEE A PROFESSIONAL? If you have persistent acne, pigmentation, redness, texture changes, or your skincare routine isn't producing results after several months, it's time for a professional evaluation. Q7. WHAT TREATMENTS ARE DELIVERING THE MOST NATURALLOOKING RESULTS TODAY? The best results come from customized plans combining medical-grade skincare, lasers, RF microneedling, collagen-stimulating therapies, and conservative injectables. Q8. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE OVERWHELMED BY AESTHETIC TREATMENT OPTIONS? Don't choose the latest trend, choose the right provider. An experienced medical professional will create a treatment plan based on your skin, goals, and lifestyle. Q9. HOW IMPORTANT IS A PERSONALIZED SKINCARE PLAN? It's essential. Every patient's skin is different, and personalized care delivers safer, more effective, longer-lasting results.

Q10. WHAT SKINCARE MYTH DO YOU WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP BELIEVING? Healthy skin comes from using the right products, not the most products. Q11. WHY IS SEPTEMBER THE PERFECT TIME TO REASSESS A SKINCARE ROUTINE? After summer, skin often shows sun damage, dehydration, and pigmentation. Fall is the ideal season to repair and rejuvenate the skin. Q12. WHAT CAN SOMEONE EXPECT DURING THEIR FIRST CONSULTATION AT VISHKA SKINCARE? A comprehensive skin analysis, honest recommendations, and a personalized treatment plan focused on natural, long-lasting results in a patient-centered environment. Q13. WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TRANSFORMATION YOU HOPE CLIENTS EXPERIENCE? Beyond healthier skin, we want every patient to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Confidence is the most meaningful result we can deliver. Q14. IF EVERY READER COULD TAKE ONE ACTION TODAY TO IMPROVE THEIR SKIN HEALTH, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Schedule a professional skin consultation. A personalized diagnosis is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. vishkaskincare.com | 202.664.9540

THE SOUND AND FEEL OF FASHION Artist, DJ, chef, and event designer Behshid Nazeri brings creativity, elegance, and energy to weddings, galas, and milestone celebrations.

ARTICLE BY DEBRA WALLACE PHOTOGRAPHY BY DR. CEYLON MITCHELL, M3

38

T R E N D SE T T E R | ARTS + CU LT U RE

When it comes to expressing creativity through music, cuisine, and unforgettable events, Behshid Nazeri of Lumie’re House Co. — better known as DJ Nava -- has a gift for bringing every detail together with style. From painting and music to floral design, gourmet catering and luxury event planning, Nazeri has built a career around creating beautiful experiences that leave lasting memories. “My journey began by teaching children art, music, and guitar,” Nazeri says. “At the same time, I loved creating fun celebrations for holidays and special occasions.”

FROM DAYCARE TO DREAM EVENTS

That passion inspired her, some 13 years ago, to start her own daycare business in Leesburg, Virginia. Built around music, creative play, and memorable celebrations, the daycare reflected her own background as a guitarist, pianist, and recording artist. Today, it continues helping children thrive through creativity. While organizing Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and birthday celebrations for her students, Nazeri realized she loved designing events as much as teaching. “I really enjoyed working with the children and making their days special,” she explains. Watching their excitement sparked an even bigger vision. “Seeing the joy on their faces inspired me to dream bigger. That passion grew into planning weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, corporate events, and luxury celebrations.” Today, her business also includes custom floral design, catering, and DJ services. “I believe every event should be beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable.”

DJ NAVA TAKES CENTER STAGE

As DJ Nava, Nazeri has become a sought-after DJ throughout the DMV. Her sets seamlessly blend EDM, house, and Top 40 hits, making her a favorite for weddings, corporate events, and cultural celebrations.

She has performed for venues and corporate events including the Exclusive Automotive Group Bentley Aston Martin of Washington, DC, the DC Magazine Fashion Show Event at EAG, and the Loudoun County Public School graduation events. She has also produced original tracks and custom wedding mixes for couples looking to personalize their celebrations. As demand grew, Nazeri purchased a picturesque farm along Route 15 in Leesburg, where she hosted her daycare, parties, and larger events. Thanks to word-of-mouth and social media, the business has continued to flourish. For Nazeri, music is about creating happiness. “I love seeing everyone around me smiling,” she says. “We’re creating happiness together. I love playing music that gets people dancing and enjoying themselves.” Her high-level DJ career began with children’s parties at the daycare before expanding into weddings, corporate events, and large community celebrations.

A FEAST FOR THE SENSES

Nazeri’s creativity doesn’t stop with music. “I started as an artist designing flowers and creating music, then expanded into events with delicious food,” she says. A passionate food designer, she started her own catering company, handcrafting menus for her events, with Persian cuisine becoming one of her specialties. “I started making my own food for the parties at the school,” she says. “Eventually that became a highlight of every event.” She and her cousin, Tina Hamidzadeh, also share a love of French cooking. Having attended school in Dubai, they enjoy creating everything from scratch, including a guest favorite -- their homemade bread buns.

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY

Among the events Nazeri is most proud to support is the 3rd Annual DMV Community Awards and Fashion Show Gala, which was held on July 18 in Washington, D.C. Working with organizer Dr. Tauheed S. Burke, Nazeri provided custom catering and floral design for the event, which honors community and industry leaders from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Prince George’s County, and Northern Virginia while celebrating fashion and philanthropy. At this gala event, Nazeri and Hamidzadeh created an unforgettable event with floral arrangements and catering delicacies, including beef velouté tart, shrimp canapés, shoux à la creme, and chocolate truffle, just to name a few. Proceeds from the gala benefit Kiyah House and will help provide education and resources for underserved members of the community. When she’s not planning elegant events or introducing her two children (an eight-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son) to a wide variety of tastes of life, Nazeri continues to explore her love of art and food. For Nazeri, whether she’s designing flowers, preparing Persian specialties, or filling a dance floor, every celebration is another opportunity to create something beautiful — and unforgettable. instagram.com/nava.the.dj 703.989.8826 | behshidn@yahoo.com

SITTING Pretty Most of us wear only a fraction of what’s hanging in our closets. The rest often becomes clutter—pieces that no longer fit, flatter, or reflect who we are. Wardrobe stylist Stephanie Weiss believes getting dressed shouldn’t feel overwhelming. Instead, it should be one of the easiest and most enjoyable parts of your day. For Stephanie, fashion has always been a creative passion. She has long enjoyed experimenting with clothing, mixing familiar pieces into fresh combinations, and discovering how the right outfit can transform not only a person’s appearance but also their confidence. Today, she channels that passion into helping clients simplify their wardrobes and develop a personal style that feels authentic, polished, and effortless.

Stephanie’s approach begins where every great wardrobe already exists—inside her clients’ closets. During a hands-on wardrobe edit, she helps identify the pieces that truly work while letting go of those that no longer serve a purpose. She then creates complete, ready-towear outfits using the clothing clients already own, organizing them around the realities of everyday life, from work and weekends to evenings out and vacations. Her services extend beyond closet transformations to include seasonal wardrobe refreshes, special-event styling, travel wardrobe planning, wardrobe management, and styling for professional headshots and photo sessions. Working with both women and men, Stephanie creates wardrobes that reflect each client’s lifestyle, personality, and goals.

For Stephanie, great style isn’t about chasing trends or filling a closet with more clothes. It’s about helping people feel comfortable, authentic, and confident in what they wear every day. By transforming existing wardrobes into collections of thoughtfully styled outfits, she helps clients replace the daily question of “What should I wear?” with the confidence of knowing they already have the perfect answer. Stephanie serves clients throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Delaware’s coastal communities, including Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and Bethany Beach. imsittingpretty.net Stephanie@imsittingpretty.net

Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland A Tradition of Impact: The 7th Annual Polo Classic Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland’s Annual Polo Classic on September 26 brings together supporters, community leaders, corporate partners, and friends for an afternoon that celebrates philanthropy, connection, and the power of building stronger communities. Now entering its seventh year, the Polo Classic has become a signature fundraising event, one that pairs the timeless tradition of polo with Habitat Metro Maryland’s mission of creating affordable homeownership opportunities for families throughout the region. The event has continued to grow year after year, attracting an expanding audience of guests who value both the experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Last year’s Polo Classic marked the organization’s most successful event to date, welcoming its largest attendance yet and generating tremendous support for Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland’s work. The energy reflected the generosity of a community united by a shared commitment to helping local families build brighter futures. Building on that momentum, Habitat Metro Maryland’s 7th Annual Polo Classic looks ahead with excitement and anticipation. Organizers hope to welcome even more guests this year while continuing to elevate the overall experience that has made the event a favorite among longtime supporters and first-time attendees alike. the picturesque backdrop of Congressional Polo Club in Poolesville, Maryland, the afternoon offers an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of polo, connect with fellow supporters, and experience one of the region’s most distinctive charitable events. Beyond the action on the field, the Polo Classic offers something for guests of all ages to enjoy. The family-friendly event celebrates classic polo traditions, including the beloved divot stomp, while inviting attendees to show off their polo chic style and swagger through the Best Hat, Best Dressed, and Best Tailgate contests. Local vendors help create a lively atmosphere, offering shopping opportunities and showcasing businesses from across the community. Whether attending for the sport, the social experience, or simply an afternoon outdoors with family and friends, guests will find something to enjoy. With VIP, General Admission, and Tailgate ticket options available, attendees can choose the experience that best fits their group while supporting Habitat Metro Maryland’s mission.

More than an afternoon on the polo field, the Polo Classic serves as a reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with purpose. Every guest, sponsor, volunteer, and donor helps make Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland’s work possible. Proceeds from the event support the organization’s efforts to build, rehabilitate, and preserve affordable homes, creating opportunities for local families to achieve the stability and independence that come with homeownership. The Polo Classic also offers valuable opportunities for businesses and organizations looking to engage with the community in a meaningful way. Sponsors and vendors play an integral role in the event’s success, gaining exposure to an engaged audience while demonstrating their L-R: Mike & Amy Ackerman, Eric & Maria Mendez, Sarah Briggs.

commitment to affordable housing and community development. From local businesses to regional corporations, participating in the Polo Classic is an opportunity to build relationships, increase brand visibility, and align with a mission that resonates far beyond the event itself. With each passing year, the Polo Classic has strengthened its reputation as more than a fundraiser—it has become an impactful celebration of the people and partnerships that make Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland’s mission possible. As the organization prepares to welcome another outstanding crowd, the focus remains on creating a memorable afternoon that inspires continued support and helps build more homes, stronger neighborhoods, and brighter futures throughout Metro Maryland. The 7th Annual Polo Classic is poised to continue that tradition, bringing together a community united by generosity, purpose, and the belief that everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. GETAWAYS GETAWAYS GUYS’ GUYS’ FOUR GREAT PLACES FOR GROOVES, GRUB AND GAWKING WITH BEST BROS Has it been too long since your tribe gathered to rib and one-up each other as only guys can do? To help plan a getaway for just the guys, City Lifestyle gathered an eclectic list of locations offering tons of things to see, do and experience. Here’s hoping the only ribs one will get on this guys’ getaway are the kind to hold in hands while barbecue sauce drips onto shirts.

Scottsdale/Phoenix There’s no other tournament on the PGA Tour like the Waste Management Phoenix Open and no hole like the legendary 16th, where 20,000 boisterous fans boo the tee shots that miss the green. The other 51 weeks of the year, golfers can play TPC Scottsdale or try one of more than 200 courses in the Scottsdale area, a top golf destination. Another winter event is the BarrettJackson Collector Car Auction. Even if one’s only collector car was a Hot Wheels, it’s a blast to peruse the acres of autos for sale before heading inside to watch the unique or renowned cars crossing the auction block. When it’s time to get moving, the strenuous hike up Camelback Mountain in nearby Phoenix is a bucket-list item. Need a more moderate trail? Experience the same magic of the majestic saguaro cactus in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

New Orleans It’s always a party in New Orleans (NOLA), especially when it comes to festivals, many of them centered around music. Folk to funk, gospel to jazz, zydeco, blues, African and other musical styles are celebrated on the Jazz and Heritage Festival’s 12 stages. If free admission is more desired, don’t miss the French Quarter Festival featuring local musicians and food vendors representing

dozens of New Orleans restaurants. Part of the fun of Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo is admiring revelers’ watercraft, some of them homemade just for this festival on the banks of Bayou Saint John. If one of the festivals can’t be attended, there’s still plenty of NOLA live music, particularly the jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street. And when a break from crowds is needed, take a guided swamp tour. Kitschy, yes, but it’s a hoot to cruise around on a swamp buggy while looking for alligators.

Bowling Green, Kentucky “America’s Sports Car” is produced at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, where visitors can join guided tours to observe Corvettes being built and learn the fascinating history of these sexy autos. See examples of all Corvette generations at the National Corvette Museum. And if the need for speed is still felt, a few times a year Xtreme Experience offers driving or ride-along events in exotics like Ferraris or Lamborghinis at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park. After getting all revved up, cool down at Mammoth Cave National Park, the longest known cave system in the world and a World Heritage Site, where guided tours take participants through tunnels humans have used for thousands of years. And after all this touring, the Bowling Green area is the southernmost point in the Kentucky Bourbon Trail of distilleries.

Austin Live music rules here, with iconic venues such as Antone’s, The Continental Club, the White Horse and hundreds of other locations, from dive bars to big stages. From rock and blues to country and urban, music is heard every night of the week (and many afternoons as well). When guys are hungry, there are tons of barbeque and Tex-Mex joints. Unique food trucks are truly a thing here, with nearly 2,000 food trailers in town. Burn some calories biking or running the Southern Walnut Creek Trail or one of many paved paths. Get out on the water in a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard on Lake Travis or Lady Bird Lake. Take a dip in the historic Barton Springs Pool, where the underground springs keep the water around 68 degrees all year.
