A two-time breast cancer survivor, she epitomizes strength, courage, and perseverance. Her journey has taught me that even in the face of daunting challenges, there's always hope and the power to defy the odds.

The official Sassiehood came together in 2000, but it started over many years. Ultimately, we all had kids graduating from NCHS in 2004. One evening, while out eating dinner, Paula suggested we make our group official with a name. We each wrote down a suggestion and put it in the middle of the table. We read them aloud and chose the Seven Sassies. Later, we dropped seven and just became The Sassy Sisters

Thinking back over 30 plus years of friendship, the memories are endless. It's difficult to narrow down. One of my earliest memories is a trip we all took to Lake Travis. We enjoyed our days from sun-up to way past sundown. One day was on a pontoon boat with a trampoline involved, and it's one day I hope none of us ever forget. I laugh every time I think about it. Bunko is another one of my favorite memories. The love and laughter we shared on those nights was immeasurable. We played to WIN, and it got pretty competitive at times but in the end, it was all for fun! ~

Guests begin by grinding ritual herbs and flowers to get oriented into the space both physically and mentally.
After getting to know one another, Megan will coach her guests through somatic movements, naturally encouraging self-awareness of their body and nervous system. In processing emotions, meditation is a common natural practice to feel connected to thoughts and listen to one's body. Megan guides guests through a calming meditation to observe body language and help identify which elements create a color pallet to best depict an artistic story. Guests forgo traditional painting tools such as brushes and allow the hand-crafted paints to connect with their bodies, gliding into the painting session, and surrendering thoughts into movement. No motion is off limits, no matter how small and tender, or loud and aggressive, to reveal what is hiding within their subconscious.
Creativity has always been a part of Megan’s life, and she has built a career in interpreting emotion and translating it into various forms of art. From her background and degree in apparel design, Megan brought intentional strategy into apparel production and to portray physical and mental protection.

Years of dance inspired Megan to use her body to physically connect with and showcase experiences of an auto-immune diagnosis, trauma, chronic pain, and mental distress translated into feminine pride.
For many, trauma can be a brick wall in personal growth, but Megan has unmasked her trauma by turning it into a waltz of creative and intuitive expression. Megan inspires clients to discover their concealed vulnerabilities through self-reflection, find strength in their personal experiences through self-exploration, and empower self-transformation through a journey of personal healing. The poetic combination of identifying colors that match emotions, along with movements that set clients free from mental constraints brings a heartfelt sensory-focused story to the canvas.

This recipe is quick and easy to make with just a few simple steps. It tastes great on its own, but dipping it in olive oil infused with fresh herbs adds an extra level of flavor.
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 ¾ cups warm water
• 2 ½ teaspoons sugar
• 1 package active dry yeast
• 4 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 4 tablespoons olive oil
• Optional:
• Fresh rosemary
• Coarse sea salt
• Fresh pressed garlic
Use a stand mixer with a fitted dough hook, and stir together the water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and stir again. Set mixture aside for 5 minutes. Mixture should be foamy. Next, add the flour and salt and mix on low until a shaggy dough forms. Increase speed and mix for an additional 4-5 minutes. Brush a large bowl with olive oil. Transfer the dough to the bowl and cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp towel. Set aside for about 1 to 1 ½ hours until the dough has doubled in size.
Brush a 9x13-inch baking dish with 2 tablespoons of oil. Uncover the dough and rub hands with olive oil. Slide your hands under the dough and fold it onto itself. Continue to work your way around the edge of the bowl, folding the dough onto itself until there is a ball that you can lift from the bowl. Place the dough in the prepared pan and press the dough to the edges. Cover the pan with plastic wrap or a damp towel and set aside to rise for about 45 minutes until the dough has doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the dough. Rub your hands with olive oil and use your fingers to make indentions on the surface of the dough. Sprinkle it with salt and rosemary and any desired toppings. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.
