The Story Behind the Painting:
I was driving along this quiet road in Colorado when these aspens suddenly engulfed me. Their golden leaves formed a canopy overhead, and it felt like I was being wrapped in pure color. It was so beautiful—so mesmerizing—that I knew I had to paint what I was experiencing right then. The light, the color, the abundance of the trees and leaves—it was almost overwhelming in the best way. I didn’t just feel surrounded by nature; I felt embraced by the colors of the moment.

Lauren Taylor, owner of Aesthetics 360, defines style as “what is authentically you,” and it is reflected in how she runs her Parker medspa. “So many of these spas that you go into feel cold and sterile and definitely not fun. You have to whisper and listen to whales singing in the background. That’s not the style we embody. I want clients to come in, especially men, and those who don’t think that a spa environment is for them, and feel comfortable. I don’t want to look so buttoned up that we are unapproachable. I try to have all my staff embody that authenticity within reason, especially in the way they dress. We need to look

wellness, lash and brows and oncology support. Lauren added oncology support in 2023 after she received a breast cancer diagnosis. With significant weight loss, a lump was easily detected. Surgery and a year of weekly chemo treatments killed the cancer, but the physical and emotional scars remain. She shares, “I decided that we needed to have an oncology support department within the business. We specialize in offering customized solutions that help mitigate
the side effects of cancer treatments, promote healing and improve overall well-being.” Aesthetics 360 also sells a line of skin products designed for cancer patients. The Aesthetics 360 plan offers customers a specialized, unique approach to beauty and health that is more than skin deep. Each client starts with a consultation where their overall needs are discussed. The practitioner asks questions to uncover the patient’s motivation for seeking treatment. Lauren explains

that they want to know what’s going on at a deeper level because that’s what they need to connect with their clients. “We aren’t looking for a one-time transactional interaction. We are looking to stay with them on a journey to help with their wellness. We are here to help with aesthetics, appearance, whatever it is that they want, but it’s finding out the deeper needs and really supporting them and making sure they know we are with them long term. At A360, our focus is on treating the person as a whole,” Lauren divulges. Her team of highly medically trained people includes a medical director, nurse practitioner, phlebotomist, medical aestheticians, medical assistants and a few family members. Paige Simpson, Lauren’s sister, is a skilled esthetician with over 80 certifications. She is pursuing her RN, which will allow her to make an even greater contribution to the A360 team. Lauren shares about her and her sister’s differing styles when working together. She says, “We are definitely opposites, which is why we work so well together.
I am very direct and very much like, ‘we are going to do things my way!’ Paige is intelligent, light-hearted and super funny. People love her. She is so talented at her craft and such an artist. A client can tell her they want their face to look a certain way, and she goes in there with a filler and sculpts a masterpiece!” Lauren’s daughter, Kaylin Taylor, is on staff too. Kaylin shares, “I was looking at two colleges when my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer, and I switched my career focus. I went to esthetician school, am a phlebotomist and an IV tech. I am continuing on to get my medical assistant certification. I love being able to be a point of growth for people!” Lauren’s goal for Aesthetics 360 is to improve the lives of her clients. “How can we improve your life for you? JEREMY O’BRYAN JACK OF ALL TRADES MASTER OF NONE COULD YOU SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF? I’ve lived in Parker for 13 years now. I love it. No plans to move. I’m a full-time single dad. I work multiple jobs. I play in a band and run as a sound engineer at Tailgate. And then, you know, I travel with my kids. I’m super involved with both of my kids’ lives. They’re 12 and 14. I also take care of my elderly dad. So, I guess to sum it up, I’m just a fully active, nonstop man on the run. WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? Getting by properly in life and having fun. You gotta make that money to live, right? And then, obviously, music and all the things within being a sound engineer. Being in the band for 10 years now, music would probably be my biggest passion. And I love cars. Having a diverse array of cars on the way, from classics to modern. For me, it’s about music, cars and family. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING A MUSICIAN? I’d say mostly the entertainment aspect of it all. When you do it as a band, you’re there to entertain. And when you have giant crowds that are having fun, singing along, dancing, clapping and enjoying life, it takes away from their daily grind. It focuses on the fun moment right there. So that’s my biggest priority on why I love being a musician. It’s the entertainment aspect that makes it worth it.

COULD YOU SHARE ABOUT YOUR BAND, 90S TIL DAWN? We’re a 90s alternative rock mainly, but we try to make it all fun and danceable, sing-along stuff. But yeah, 10 years with the original lineup, with just the occasional fill-in player here and there, but otherwise, we have the same lineup. I’m the lead guitarist. It’s great! You know, we’ve played Coors Field. We play Broncos games out front. We’ve played awesome beer festivals. Highs and lows, you know. We’ve played with two people, and we’ve played with 5000 people. So, it’s really a thrill, and we hope to just keep going. WHAT MADE YOU START THE BAND? I had an original band before, and it can be difficult to do original music and keep a bunch of different people on the same page. Whereas a cover band has a kind of instant gratification. You play your part, and it sounds great. I was looking to get out and play quicker and have some fun, and that’s how 90s Til Dawn was born. YOU MENTION CARS, CAN YOU SHARE ABOUT YOUR LOVE FOR CARS? It’s funny because my dad is not into cars at all in any way, shape or form, at all my entire life. It’s my own found passion. I’ve had race cars, classics, motorcycles, monster trucks, kind of all of it. I joke that with my classic car I should have a license plate that should say PTSD, but at the same time they just look like a million bucks when they’re done right. They’re a lot of fun, and it’s fun to share the stories with people where it takes them back.

I’m out of the classic range temporarily, but I’ve got the new Corvette. It’s a souped-up 2022 Corvette C8 Z51 with Lambo doors, custom lighting and a loud exhaust. It’s a little more reliable than the classic cars, and everywhere you go it brings a smile to people’s faces. The very first hour I had it, three different people stopped me, saying, “Oh, I love your car!” And I mean, yeah, I could get smoked by a Tesla or a faster car, but my car brings a lot of joy to people. That’s the fun in it. It attracts a lot of people just to chat. BECAUSE THIS IS OUR STYLE ISSUE, WHAT DOES STYLE MEAN TO YOU? I’m a man of simple fashion. Let’s put it that way. I’m like a Mark Zuckerberg: jeans and the same hoodie. Style for me is simple but effective. I’m like the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Keep it simple, you know. Jeans and a black shirt kind of a thing. But you know, have a little bit of swagger in your style. Take care of yourself, present with somewhat of an effort in appearance and that’s gonna look good. Looking good. Feeling good.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT LIVING IN PARKER AND THE COMMUNITY AT TAILGATE? For Parker in general, it’s relatively safe and quiet. It’s growing really fast, but it has almost everything I need. A few more amenities here and really there’s no point to leave. Tailgate has been great. I’ve been working there for almost 8 years in different roles. It’s reliable, great and fun. Great bands come through. That’s kind of the best part. I get to meet all these other bands and gain other perspectives on music that give me ideas for myself. It’s just a lot of fun. I have no intentions of stopping any time soon. It’s fun. It’s interesting. It’s like I get paid to have fun. That makes it easy. WHAT IS YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE PARKER COMMUNITY? Not everything has to be a big deal. You don’t need road rage. Just calm down and live your life. Not everyone that cuts you off has to be yelled at. Chill. Chill and live. It’s what you make of it.

Beyond the high-octane energy and neon hum of Las Vegas lies a different kind of magnetism, one found in the rolling, golden hills of the Central Coast. The culinary pairing experience artfully unites the estate’s reserve and estate wines with seasonally inspired fare, including a mezze platter and estate royal white sturgeon caviar alongside artisanal cheese and charcuterie. Highlights include a spiny lobster roll on brioche, Niman Ranch lamb chops with a spiced pomegranate molasses, and a New York steak paired with the flagship Soul of a Lion. Sipping this crown jewel while overlooking the steep, calcareous slopes provides an immediate connection to the craft. Named in tribute to the Daou brothers’ father, the wine honors the passion and “enduring conviction behind the dream to craft worldclass cabernet sauvignon from Paso Robles,” as Laura notes. It is a true expression of the Mountain’s power and elegance. As night fell, we descended into the valley for a different kind of exploration: Sensorio, a massive, 35-acre permanent outdoor art venue where whimsical landscapes blend with local music and, yes, more wine. Featuring over 100,000 fiber-optic spheres, the installation transforms the rolling hills into a glowing, immersive symphony that feels wonderfully Seussian. This organic wonderland of light offers a playful contrast to the rigid neon of the Strip, encouraging visitors to wander through a landscape that feels like a dreamscape come to life. Sensorio is a “playground for the mind,” an immersive art destination that feels like an organic extension of the rolling hills. Ryan Hopple, General Manager of Sensorio, notes that the landscape was specifically chosen to encourage this interaction: “The natural contours of the landscape invite movement and discovery, while the expansive Central Coast skies, sunsets and open environment create a sense of calm and reflection. The setting allows guests to engage with the artwork in a deeply personal way, whether they’re exploring the pathways, relaxing beneath the stars, or simply taking in the connection between light, nature and space.” For a visitor coming from the neon-soaked streets of Nevada, Sensorio acts as a meditative palate cleanser. It’s not about the flash of a billboard; it’s about the slow pulse of color against a dark sky. Ryan explains, “Unlike the fast-paced intensity often associated with urban environments, Sensorio was created as a place where art, technology and nature come together in a peaceful rural setting. Guests are invited to slow down, wander through the exhibits, listen to live music, enjoy the Central Coast air and experience light in a way that feels calming, emotional and meditative. It’s less about sensory overload and more about connection.” Between the high-altitude hospitality of the mountain and the quiet wonder of the light fields, Paso Robles proves itself as the ultimate retreat for the senses. The allwhite kitchen led to the all-white living room led to the all-white everything. That era is over. The most interesting homes right now are doing something braver. They’re letting each room hold its own mood. What ties them together isn’t a single look. It’s the materials they keep coming back to: warm brass, sculptural lighting, marble, stained wood, and quiet neutrals holding it all together. We toured one home that gets it exactly right, and pulled out ideas worth borrowing.

2. SCULPTUR AL CALM One bold gesture in a quiet room. Everything in this great room is whispering, from the cream walls to the linen sectional to the chandelier’s delicate brass rings. And then a tree, reaching toward the coffered ceiling like it grew there on purpose. When the rest of the room is quiet, the boldest thing you can put in it is something alive.
1. RESORT ENERGY Outdoor rooms designed with the rigor of interiors. This isn’t a backyard. It’s a destination. From the lined-up lounge chairs to the scalloped umbrellas to the greenstriped pillows repeating across the deck. The lesson here is to stop treating outdoor furniture as an afterthought. Pick a palette and commit.
3. MOODY MODERN Dark dining rooms are back, and better than ever. Bold taupe walls, an oval black table, sleek chairs, and an oversized round mirror standing in for art. The bright, airy dining room had its decade. Now bring on the supper club.

4. WAR M MODER N The all-white kitchen meets warm wood. Cream cabinetry stays, because the light it gives you is hard to beat. But the island gets a stained wood treatment that grounds the whole space. Brass pendants and hardware add glow. Velvet stools soften the lines. This is the kitchen the next decade is building toward.

6. BUILT FOR PLAY Rooms that don’t apologize for being fun. A game table under a crystal chandelier. A leather club chair next to a telescope. A theater tucked in around the corner. The best entertaining spaces are the ones built for actual use, not just for looking at.
5. THE JEWEL BOX Small spaces, big swing. Antiqued mercury glass, a brass faucet, fluted glass cabinets, golden pulls on crisp white shakers.
