2026 Style Perceived To Equal Expressive Restraint And Authentic Character Let's celebrate and delve into the captivating world of style. Style transcends the clothes we wear or accessories we choose; it embodies every aspect of our lives. From the way we decorate our homes to the music we enjoy, from the books we cherish to the way we engage in conversations, style permeates every facet of our existence. It's the thread that weaves the rich tapestry of our lives. Style is profoundly personal. It evolves as we embrace our quirks, passions and desires. It's a form of self-expression that reveals who we are, how we perceive the world and what we value. In this way, style becomes a powerful medium for connection, allowing us to find common ground with those who share aesthetic sensibilities. As individuals, we have the freedom to adopt established styles, blend them or carve out entirely new approaches, becoming trendsetters ourselves. We hope this edition inspires you to forge new paths or revisit familiar ones.

Personalized, Élan Jewelry From The Heart MICHAEL'S JEWELERS DELIGHTS CUSTOMERS WITH NEW, LEADING-EDGE DESIGN TECHNOLOGY Michael’s Jewelers professionals enhanced their design capabilities with upgraded customization software this summer. The Yardley-based jewelers have been using computer-assisted design (CAD) programs for more than a decade, but their latest upgrade puts them at the cutting edge of the technology. “Before, the rings on the design looked big and boxy,” says Michael’s Jewelers owner Michael Kanoff. “Our designers are now stepping it up, and we’re using more of a three-dimensional CAD. We're using truly state-of-the-art software at this point, which makes it almost impossible to get jewelry designs wrong.” “When customers come in for us to design a ring with them, we talk about it in-person and see some different examples,” Michael continues. “Then when they leave, I have a computer-assisted design generated by our software and sent to their email, so they're able to see it at all angles, zoom in and out, and change the colors from yellow to white to rose gold.” Customers can make any desired changes at this stage in the process, and the ring then goes through three more stages. First, Michael and his team create a wax mold of the ring and once again allow for any necessary changes to the design. They then cast the piece in the metal of the customer’s choosing before adding the diamond or other stone to complete the look. All custom-made jewelry at Michael’s Jewelers has a lifetime guarantee. The customization software is used primarily for engagement rings, Michael confirms, but can be applied to any type of jewelry.

On the company's website, prospective customers can use the FANA Custom Ring Designer to try out different combinations of metal color, center stone shape and size, mounting style and engraving options. There’s also a “try it on” feature to see how the ring looks on a hand, as well as rotation and zoom capabilities. Michael, a graduate of Pennsbury High School and the Gemological Institute of America, is the second-generation owner of the stores after his parents began the family business in 1976 — they’ll celebrate their 50th anniversary this November. They moved to Langhorne from their original Fairless Hills location in March and have had a Yardley location, now in Antique Alley, since 1997. Michael’s grandfather and great-grandfather both worked in the watch repair business after the latter emigrated from Russia in the early 20th century. Throughout his family’s five decades of store ownership, Michael has the way trends tend to change and re-emerge. Right now, he says, “Yellow-gold is king.” “There’s nothing new in fashion,” Michael explains. “Things just cycle. For the last twenty years or so, it was all silver, white-gold and platinum, with hardly any yellow-gold. Now, it’s the opposite. Because white and silver were so popular, people needed a change; there’s only so much you can wear in white.” Changing trends also can be “refreshing” for people who buy jewelry year after year, according to Michael. “You’ve bought your wife enough white pieces,” he says. “Let’s start buying gold again.” Michael says he's also seeing an uptick in requests for bigger, bolder pieces. “Things were so skinny and tailored for so long, and again, now it’s the opposite,” he says.
“We’re using truly state-of-theart software that makes it almost impossible to get customers’ preferred designs wrong.” —Michael Kanoff, owner, Michael’s Jewelers

“When customers leave, I would have a computerassisted design generated by our software and sent to your email, so you’re able to see it at all angles, zoom in and out, and change the colors from yellow to white to rose gold.”
There also has been a rush on what the industry calls “fancy shapes:" diamonds that are not the round, brilliant cut. Ovals are still the most popular fancy shape, with an increase in elongated cuts like radiance (square or rectangular with trimmed edges), marquise (long and football-shaped), and cushion (pillow-shaped with soft, rounded corners) stones. Also up in popularity are bezel set rings, which feature a ring of the chosen metal wrapping around the stone. According to Michael, trends also are influenced by celebrity engagement rings. “Recently, Taylor Swift got that old-mine, elongated cushion cut, which is why elongated cushion cuts have been so popular,” he says. “As engagement rings go, celebrities dictate what’s trending, and it’s always been that way.” 215.369.1700 JewelryByMJ.com

Careful sustainability plus stylish functionality were strategically balanced as equal components when creating 2016-2017 site plans to build the unique New Hope estate at 48 Street Road, now on the market as represented by Jay Spaziano Real Estate in Washington Crossing.
Homeowners of this bespoke manor and Bucks County natives Brian and Mahria Morris undertook a two-year journey while developing from scratch what's considered a trend-setting eco-home born out of the desire for harmony with the land as well as family values. "We wanted to lean into natural materials and energy-efficient practices while planning an oasis for our extended family," recalls Brian, a professional construction engineer and CFO/COO. "We even studied natural tree lines and where to place buildings on the property according to where the sun comes up." Mahria, a social worker, master gardener and recently credentialed horticultural therapist, adds, "We also wanted to be good stewards of the land while planning for windows that enhanced natural light. So we put a lot of effort into solar options and being as green as we could be in a house of this size." They say they also wanted to create privacy while still protecting the openness offered inside the home that was inspired by "Frank Lloyd Wright-ish" signature aesthetics, known as organic architecture. "It's big but
cozy. We felt encased but not confined, like we had our own healthy ecosystem nestled in the land and surrounding plants," the couple quickly adds. "The property has been an excellent place for our whole family, with our nieces and nephews sometimes spending a good part of summers at the residence. At times, there were 20-50 of us at the house altogether," explains Brian. The property also was home to Brian's parents in the guest house. On the back side of the property, Mahria replaced diseased ash trees with new trees, shrubs and perennials, plus established a large peony field during 2025, because "peonies live for a hundred years, and are low maintenance, deer resistant and not a water hog." As Mahria and Brian now plan their downsizing for the next phase in their lives, they purchased another property with an 1850 farmhouse. "We're working on a modern home masterplan that's based in restoration, preservation and conservation. We're eliminating the additions on the farmhouse to return it more to its origins. We think of it as creating a CONTINUED > S EP TEMB ER 2 0 2 6 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . C OM / N E W TOW N

contemporary Craftsman style of home," Brian confirms, indicating they're new project impetus is The Gamble House, a historic American Craftsman landmark home in Pasadena, California, which was designed in 1908 by Pasadena architects, Greene & Greene as the winter residence for David and Mary Gamble. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Mahria concludes, "It's been a decade of creating memories (at Street Road), and now that our kids are older, they're building their own lives. It's time for a new space for us and for some other family to enjoy the property, hopefully as much as we did. It's a great gathering place, one for building community and for entertaining. We hope it inspires another generation to love it in the future."

fitting fall fashions Newtown City Lifestyle Asked Laura Rothstein, Lunachick Boutique Owner, What's Coming In Clothing Options Lunachick Boutique team members in Newtown state they're enthused to introduce several new apparel brands from the United States and Europe that aren't widely available elsewhere. They're also expanding their assortment for women ages 30-55 and beyond while staying true to the younger, trend-driven styles for which they're known, creating a collection that offers something for every generation.
WHAT DOES "WARDROBE DRESSING" LOOK LIKE THESE DAYS?
"Wardrobe dressing is all about building a versatile closet with elevated pieces that mix and match effortlessly instead
of buying outfits for just one occasion. At Lunachick, we're expanding our curation to include more elevated, classic pieces, including timeless jackets and coats that become the foundation of beautiful wardrobes."
WHAT APPAREL COLORS WILL BE FAVORITES FOR WOMEN THIS FALL?
"Designers and brands are gravitating toward rich earth tones like cocoa bean, olive, espresso and warm camel this fall, paired with vibrant pops of teal, plum and deep eggplant for a fresh update. These colors feel elevated yet effortless, making them flattering and easy to wear across every age and style."

KEY FALL LOOKS ARE PREDICTED TO FEATURE MOODY MAROON, SUEDE, LEATHER BOMBER JACKETS, SHEER LAYERING PIECES AND COCOON-LIKE SILHOUETTES. THINK THOSE PREDICTIONS ARE CORRECT?
"Yes, I do. We're already seeing strong interest in those items. If, by cocoon silhouettes you mean bubble-bottom bombers and softly oversized outerwear, then yes, that trend is resonating. We're also seeing faux fur make a big comeback, adding texture and warmth to fall wardrobes while feeling wearable across age groups."
SOME FASHION LEADERS STATE THIS FALL WILL BE ABOUT THE FEMININE VERSUS TOUGH CONTRAST OF PAIRING FLOATY, ULTRA-FEMININE RUFFLED OR SHEER TOPS WITH STRUCTURED, STRAIGHT-LEG TROUSERS SEEMINGLY 'BORROWED FROM THE BOYS.' DO YOU SEE THAT HAPPENING?
"We do see that trend emerging. Lunachick is known for our denim, and we're seeing a shift toward more trouser-inspired denim silhouettes. Pairing those with feminine details like sheer fabrics, soft textures or romantic blouses creates a balanced look that feels modern, wearable and flattering."
SOME ARE PREDICTING SWEATERS AND CARDIGANS WILL HIGHLIGHT GEOMETRIC PATTERNS AND MULTICOLORED ARGYLE FOR COLD-WEATHER DRESSING. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
"Sweaters, especially cardigans, will continue to be key pieces this fall. There's strong interest in argyle, Fair Isle and classic stripes, along with textured knits like pointelle for early fall. These timeless patterns and textures feel modern and easy to wear."
FROM WHERE DO YOU PURCHASE YOUR FALL CLOTHING LINEUP?
"We shop all the major fashion markets, including Las Vegas, LA Market and New York City, to curate each season's collection. Our fall and holiday assortments were selected in February 2026, but we always leave room in our open-to-buy so we can bring in new styles and trends as they emerge throughout the season."
ANY CLOTHING ITEMS/ACCESSORIES THAT ALWAYS SEEM TO BE YOUR MOST REQUESTED ITEMS EACH FALL?
"Our most requested fall staples are always denim, sweaters and layered necklaces. These are the pieces our customers reach for year after year because they're versatile, easy to style and the foundation of a great fall wardrobe." 215.579.6110 ShopLunachick.com

inclusive new recreational destination PlayaRaya To Provide Bucks County-Based, Adaptive Campus And Universal Sanctuary For All Abilities 'Play your way' is the mantra of supporters for the new PlayaRaya, an innovative, ultra-accessible play/recreational space designed for everyone. These proponents' principles and projects are rooted in the belief "inclusion is a right, not a privilege." Visionary founder Rabbi Yehuda "Yudy" Shemtov says families with differently abled individuals often find it challenging to enjoy a place of recreation and activities together, where all members can have equal accessibility and enjoyment. "So, we're creating that space on a 12-acre property in the heart of Bucks County. This revolutionary project is being developed with the longterm goal to combine all-access recreational playgrounds, multipurpose fields and trails, along with all-accessible swimming and water park activities." Reflecting 30 years of devotion to disability programs, the rabbi founded Lubavitch of Bucks County, a Newtown-based network of social, educational and religious programming for the Jewish community. He also is the longtime executive director of Friendship Circle, an organization that supports and provides programming for the special needs community. "The difference between retrofitted and purpose-built public facilties, such as PlayaRaya, is the difference between tolerated and celebrated," he adds.

PlayaRaya Executive Director Cameron Miller says they recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local and state politicians plus Pennsylvania First Lady Lori Shapiro at their Langhorne location. Ilya Rabovetsky, a PlayaRaya founding advisory councilor, project adviser and principal of Redblock Realty Inc., says the group, All Abilities Recreation Inc., doing business as PlayaRaya, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. He adds the project’s location at 890 Bridgetown Pike in Northampton Township is strategically positioned just 10 minutes from Sesame Place and within easy reach of the Greater Philadelphia region. This summer, the group unveiled two pools, splashpads and athletic courts for basketball, tennis and volleyball. Both pools are accessible, with one being a zero-entry pool, specifically designed to ensure all can enjoy the water safely and with confidence. Cameron says they're working through their prototype period, using the new space for internal camps that include individuals with disabilities: Friendship Circle and Camp Gan Izzy.
Rabbi Yehuda “Yudy” Shemtov, founder of PlayaRaya, welcomes guests to the campus grand opening.
Pennsylvania First Lady Lori Shapiro was a guest speaker at the recent PlayaRaya ribbon-cutting.
Regarding next steps for PlayaRaya, Cameron says, "We have early concepts and ideas for a full buildout beyond the pool and splash pads, but we have much more work to do with our partners, including officials at Northampton Township, to ensure plans serve the needs of all individuals and meet regulatory approvals." Additional potential phases, projected into 2028, may include accessible playscapes, therapy trails, fitness stations, pickleball courts, calm zones and sensory deprivation spaces, as well as educational areas. Rabbi Yudy says they seek to create a vibrant, joyful space. "We're continuing to build upon the foundation we’ve established in this first phase, for instance, by installing colorful features in our splash pad. Creating a beautiful space is important to us, because it helps to ensure every person who comes and belongs here feels celebrated."
He continues, "While it’s just the start, current visitors are getting a taste of the aesthetic to come through splashes of color and on-site pictures of visitors having fun, as well as inspiring concept art of how we hope PlayaRaya will develop in the future." The project is intended to serve as a national model for recreation and outdoor facilities for disabled persons and their supporters. The rabbi says the group has an ambitious vision of expanding and bringing facilities, like PlayaRaya, across the Commonwealth and the country. "We truly believe individuals with disabilities everywhere, and their friends and families, deserve a place they can come with confidence, knowing that their needs will be met and that they can have a wonderful time." MORE THAN
a Bag
A BLEND OF FASHION AND FUNCTION 30
I NSP IR E D BY | STYL E + B E AU T Y
A purse does more than hold your phone, keys, and wallet. It quietly pulls an outfit together while also handling the practical side of everyday life. That balance between fashion and function is what makes a great purse feel less like an accessory and more like part of a personal style. Some bags are designed to stand out. A bold color, metallic detail, or structured shape can instantly become the statement piece of an outfit. Even with simple jeans and a white T-shirt, the right purse adds personality and intention. Other times, a purse works best when it blends in. Neutral tones, soft leather, or minimalist designs create a polished look without stealing attention from the rest of the outfit. These subtle bags are often the ones people reach for every day because they work with almost everything.
FASHION TRENDS MAY CHANGE EVERY SEASON, BUT THE ROLE OF A PURSE STAYS THE SAME.
Of course, style only goes so far if a purse is impractical. The best bags are the ones that fit real life. A roomy tote helps someone move from work meetings to errands without missing a beat. Even a small clutch has a purpose for evenings out when only the essentials matter. Fashion trends may change every season, but the role of a purse stays the same. It adapts while still serving a purpose. That’s why people often invest in bags they truly love. A good purse is dependable, but it also can make a fashion statement. In many ways, a purse is one of the few accessories that people use every single day. It carries necessities, reflects personal style, and can completely change the tone of an outfit. Whether bold and eye-catching or simple and understated, a purse proves that fashion and function can exist beautifully together. S EP TEMB ER 2 0 2 6 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . C OM / N E W TOW N
