Sitting down with New Braunfels Blinds and Drapery feels less like a business meeting and more like catching up with a friend over coffee—especially when you’re talking style with owner, Jennifer Minigh. She starts every project by asking about your daily life. “Blinds and shutters are our have to,” Jennifer says, “It’s our privacy and our light control..you must have something on the windows.” That approach puts everyone at ease, whether you’re juggling your day-to-day or craving that perfect movie‑night blackout.

Once the essentials are in place, Jennifer brings in drapery, calling it “the icing on the cake.” She loves to remind clients that drapes should arrive only after furniture placement and color choices are settled. “Drapery can wait.

Although it’s my favorite thing and I believe it’s the icing on the cake for any home where it’s appropriate,” she explains. That extra layer of texture and movement transforms rooms, making them feel cozy and warm.

Jennifer’s eye for modern and transitional styles shines through in her material suggestions. Woven woods and textured fabrics can warm up a sleek, monochrome space without overwhelming it. If you love clean lines but don’t want cold minimalism, these options give you the best of both worlds. “Hit a button,” she laughs, “and honestly that’s what motorization does in a way that makes you feel hip and cool, as well as, you know, functioning through your day.”

They evaluate everything “from the pictures on the walls to the flooring they have to their kitchen backsplash, you start taking all of the small details in, it allows you to better guess and move them towards the decisions they’ve already made to make that mirror and mimic the decision they’re about to make,” Jason Olcott, Senior Design Consultant from Keith Zars Pools explains.

STEP 3: CURATE AND VISUALIZE Then, you will head over to the Keith Zars Pools Design Center, where you can explore a wide array of tile, lighting, and finish samples. Stroll through seven stunning demo pools (soon to be ten) to spark inspiration.

Using 3D visualization software, you can preview your pools design such as plaster color, tile and coping as well as fire features, tanning ledges, or decorative tiling.

STEP 4: PERSONALIZE YOUR OASIS Finally, discover the finishing touches that elevate your pool into a true backyard retreat. Keith Zars Pools offers a variety of enhancements—from integrated fire features and tranquil water elements to shaded lounge areas and built-in seating.
