Changing it up is Healthy, Explore Naples and beyond

We live in a world that values productivity and efficiency, where every moment seems to be mapped out and planned. I’ll admit, I fall into this mindset sometimes too, thinking that the only worthwhile activities are those that can be measured, calculated, and optimized. But the truth is, a life that is too structured is missing something vital— space for exploration.

We need room for discovery, for trying new things, for being a beginner. Sometimes, it’s in those unplanned moments where connections are made, memories are created, and trust is built. In recent months, I’ve been reflecting on how my family and friends spend  time together. We’ve realized that our happiest moments often come when we step away from screens and routines. Our "adventures" don’t always involve grand trips, most recently my girlfriend and I spent two nights at Hard Rock Casino on the East Coast. It was different for us, and that's one of the reasons it was truly a new and exciting adventure.

This issue is all about giving yourself permission to explore—whether it’s a spontaneous trip, a new hobby, or simply making time for those unstructured moments with the people you love.

Let’s make space for the unexpected and the unexplored, and remember that it’s often in these moments that the richest connections are formed.

Happy exploring!

Exploring What Moves Us

A COLLECTION OF CONVERSATIONS ABOUT CURIOSITY, GROWTH, ADVENTURE, AND THE PATHS THAT LEAD US FORWARD

ARTICLE BY LAUREN ROSSI | PHOTOGRAPHY BY PAYNE MEDIA CO

Jan Rosen

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. In my functional health coaching practice, I specialize in women’s midlife health — hormones, gut health, sleep, weight gain, hair thinning, and every symptom that comes with that chapter of life. We dig deep, build a plan that fits each individual, and begin the work. My passion is educating women about their own bodies so they can age gracefully.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? As an Aquarian, I love exploring the unknown — it’s just part of who I am. In my coaching business, hormone health is always an exploration. Every woman is different, every body tells a different story, and that mystery is exactly what drives me.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE? I became a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and CrossFit coach and stepped out into the world to teach once my children were in school full time. What I discovered was my passion — and that passion has led me to where I am now, doing work where I can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives.

HOW HAS “EXPLORATION” SHAPED YOUR APPROACH TO YOUR WORK OR CREATIVITY? Through the many courses I took and learning what real health actually means, I discovered that getting to the root cause — upstream of the symptoms — is the only real answer. That realization changed everything about how I work.

WHAT’S THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE LOCAL EXPERIENCE YOU’VE HAD WHILE TRAVELING? Visiting Rome with my daughter — and while we were there, I located a relative I never even knew existed. Moments like that remind you how connected we all are.

WHAT CITY OR COUNTRY HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST AND WHY? Manhattan. It energizes me and keeps me learning. The city hosts cutting-edge conferences in functional medicine and hormone health, and just being there puts me at the center of what’s new and next in my field.

ANY SECRET SPOTS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST ONCE? The Floridian Club. The views are breathtaking and the sunsets never get old. It’s my happy place.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME? I had an MRI about two weeks ago — my first ever. It’s a reminder that even when we think we’ve done it all, life keeps introducing new firsts.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE ? The beach at sunset. Every time.

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO EXPLORE ANY CITY IN THE WORLD WITH UNLIMITED ACCESS — WHERE ARE YOU GOING AND WHAT’S FIRST ON YOUR LIST? San Francisco — straight to Napa. Wine country, incredible scenery, beautiful food. What else do you need?

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE? Getting on the road to aging gracefully and feeling your absolute best every single day.

Christopher Shucart

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. Commercial real estate and hospitality.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? To me, “explore” means being open to new ideas, people, and places — staying curious, thinking independently, and not being afraid to be adventurous, both in business and in life. Some of the best ideas happen when you let your mind be free.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE? Creating Prime Social Reserve in collaboration with the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants team has been one of the biggest — and most rewarding — risks of my career. The project was nearly six years in the making, and honestly, there were countless times the deal died. But through hard work, perseverance, and determination, we brought it back to life. For so many reasons, Prime Social Reserve probably shouldn’t have happened — but I’m incredibly grateful it did, and for what it brings to the City of Naples. Seeing people genuinely enjoy the experience, connect with friends and family in the space, and appreciate what we created makes all the years of hard work and risk worth it.

ANY SECRET SPOTS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST ONCE? There are so many incredible hidden gems in Naples. A few of my favorites: Bay House, Chops City Grill, Prime Social Reserve, Snook Inn, Spanky’s, Staff Only, and Cheeky Tiki. What makes Southwest Florida special is the variety — you can go from a laid-back spot to an elevated dining experience all in the same day.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE? On a boat. Being on the water way offshore is one of my true happy places. It lets me disconnect, reset, and step away from everyday life and business. There’s something about being out there with no meetings, no emails, no distractions — and no cell service — that completely clears my mind.

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO EXPLORE ANY CITY IN THE WORLD WITH UNLIMITED ACCESS — WHERE ARE YOU GOING AND WHAT’S FIRST ON YOUR LIST? I’ve never been, but probably Tokyo. The energy, culture, food, hospitality, and creativity all seem incredible. Plus, skiing in Japan is on my bucket list — though Tokyo and skiing in the same 24-hour period might be a little aggressive. I’m still down to try.

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE?

Definitely not a cruise. I’m more of a planes, trains, and automobiles type — fast-moving, constantly changing scenery, unexpected detours, and a little controlled (and occasionally uncontrolled) chaos mixed in. Less about big crowds and more about unique, boutique experiences shared with family and people you actually want to spend time with. At the end of the day, that’s what both business and life are really about for me: creating memorable experiences and meaningful connections.

Elizabeth Verrico DO

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. I specialize in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa, offering a comprehensive selection of surgical procedures designed to enhance confidence while preserving each patient’s natural beauty and individuality.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? To me, exploration means staying curious and being willing to grow. Professionally, it means continuing to learn and refine my craft. Personally, it means embracing new experiences and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE? Moving to Southwest Florida and starting over professionally was a huge leap. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone in every way — but it led to incredible personal and professional growth.

HOW HAS “EXPLORATION” SHAPED YOUR APPROACH TO YOUR WORK OR CREATIVITY? I think exploration keeps you from becoming stagnant. In surgery, it pushes me to keep learning, refining my techniques, and approaching every patient with both precision and an artistic eye.

WHAT’S THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE LOCAL EXPERIENCE YOU’VE HAD WHILE TRAVELING? Visiting the small town in Italy where my dad is from and dancing with the locals in the town square. Young and old, everyone together, just celebrating life. Those are the moments I remember most.

WHAT CITY OR COUNTRY HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST AND WHY? Italy. There’s such a deep appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and the art of living well there. As a surgeon, I naturally connect with the attention to detail and artistry you see everywhere.

HOW DOES YOUR PALATE REFLECT YOUR OWN EXPLORATION OF FOOD AND FLAVOR? My palate has definitely been shaped by my love of cooking and trying new things. I love exploring different cultures through flavor, and cooking has made me appreciate how much thought and personality can go into a single meal.

ANY SECRET SPOTS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST ONCE? I’m still new to Southwest Florida, so I’m still exploring and discovering new spots myself — and honestly, that’s been one of my favorite parts of living here.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME? Becoming a mom recently has been the biggest “first” of my life. It’s changed my perspective in so many ways and has been both the most challenging and the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had.

HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A TRIP THAT TURNED INTO A JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY? I think every trip teaches you something about yourself. For me, travel has been more about gaining perspective and experiencing different cultures than any single transformative moment.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE? Nature. Whether it’s a hike, a walk in the park, or sitting by the beach listening to the waves — that’s always been the easiest way for me to slow down and reset.

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO EXPLORE ANY CITY IN THE WORLD WITH UNLIMITED ACCESS — WHERE ARE YOU GOING AND WHAT’S FIRST ON YOUR LIST? Cairo. I’ve always been fascinated by the Great Pyramids, and seeing them in person would absolutely be first on my list.

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE? The kind that constantly keeps you learning and evolving. There’s an adrenaline rush in the challenges along the way — but in the end, you get a beautiful, rewarding outcome that makes it all worth it.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. Incend Fitness is a private personal training business serving Naples with customized one-on-one, partner, and small-group training brought directly to clients — in their homes, private gyms, condo gyms, clubhouse gyms, and community fitness centers. As a small team of experienced trainers, we give clients the convenience of training where they already are, with programs built around their goals, fitness level, and lifestyle. We primarily serve busy professionals and retirees who want to build strength, lose fat, improve mobility, and feel confident in their bodies. A former Division I gymnast with over a decade of training experience, I founded Incend Fitness to combine expert coaching with a supportive, individualized approach focused on wellness, longevity, and lasting results.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? To me, it means looking at all parts of something without a clear target in mind — staying open to wherever the process leads.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE?

Moving to Naples FL. I moved here in January and found some of the best clients I’ve ever worked with. Love the people and culture here.

HOW HAS “EXPLORATION” SHAPED YOUR APPROACH TO YOUR WORK OR CREATIVITY? It allowed me to find opportunities I never would have discovered by just following the standard, cookie-cutter approach. Staying open to what’s possible — rather than what’s proven — has made a real difference.

WHAT’S THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE LOCAL EXPERIENCE YOU’VE HAD WHILE TRAVELING? Cars on 5th. An incredible event, right here in Naples.

WHAT CITY OR COUNTRY HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST AND WHY? Italy. The architecture is unbelievable. Standing in front of those structures makes you realize what humans are capable of. You can’t fully grasp the scale and the detail until you’re actually there. And when you factor in the Pyramids of Egypt on top of that… it’s humbling. We are the same species that built all of it.

HOW DOES YOUR PALATE REFLECT YOUR OWN EXPLORATION OF FOOD AND FLAVOR? It pushes me to try almost anything. When it comes to flavor, I’m not a picky eater. When it comes to health, I’m a bit more selective.

ANY SECRET SPOTS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST ONCE? Lujack’s. Chops. The food is unbelievable.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME? Bungee jumping, about a year ago. Highly recommend.

HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN A TRIP THAT TURNED INTO A JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY? My one-way trip to Penn State — and the years I spent there. I had no way of knowing where it would lead. It led to everything.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE? Home to LA.

YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO EXPLORE ANY CITY IN THE WORLD WITH UNLIMITED ACCESS — WHERE ARE YOU GOING AND WHAT’S FIRST ON YOUR LIST? Vatican City, straight to St. Peter’s Basilica. One of the most extraordinary human structures ever built — I’d want to stand inside it for as long as possible.

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE? A steep hike up a mountain — plenty of obstacles, plenty of jumps, and plenty of opportunities to conquer fear along the way.

Marc Evan Williams, RMI

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. I serve as Area Executive Vice President at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., specializing in complex commercial insurance and risk management for Southwest Florida’s most prominent residential and commercial properties. A lifelong Naples resident since 1974, I’ve built a career as one of the region’s most trusted advisors in the condominium association and real estate development sectors. With more than 29 years of experience, I bring deep expertise in risk analysis, contractual risk transfer, risk retention, and insurance program design — working with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from luxury condo associations to large-scale developers. Prior to joining Gallagher, I was a principal and former owner of Lutgert Insurance, a longstanding Naples firm acquired by Gallagher in 2017.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE? Stepping into ownership at Lutgert Insurance and helping grow the business in an increasingly complex market. Rather than playing it safe, I leaned into specialization — focusing on large condominium associations,

luxury coastal properties, and complex real estate developments. It required deep expertise, long-term relationships, and customized solutions where standard programs simply didn’t work. That decision led to incredible opportunities: working alongside Naples’ leading developers, boards, and property managers, and eventually becoming part of Arthur J. Gallagher. More importantly, it allowed me to build a career centered on trust and helping protect some of the communities that have shaped Naples for generations.

WHAT CITY OR COUNTRY HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST AND WHY? Bora Bora. Beyond its natural beauty, what struck me most was the balance between relaxed island living, strong community values, and a deep appreciation for preserving both culture and environment — which reminded me of Naples. Bora Bora’s pace and respect for its surroundings reinforced the importance of building a life and career around relationships and community. It’s a destination that successfully blends growth, beauty, and a strong sense of identity, and that’s something I’ve always valued.

ANY

SECRET

SPOTS

IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE AT LEAST ONCE? The waters around Dry Tortugas National Park — particularly the fishing grounds just north of Fort Jefferson. It’s one of the most unique and untouched places in Florida: crystal-clear water, incredible marine life, and some of the best fishing anywhere in the state.

Lauren Wilson

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. Babe’s Booths is a photo booth experience designed to feel more fun, interactive, approachable, and just a little more female-focused. I wanted to create something simple that makes everyone feel beautiful, brings energy to a room, and becomes part of what people remember most about an event. I love bringing that element to every party while giving businesses and charities a creative new way to advertise and be seen. Whether it helps people connect, laugh, promote a cause, or simply enjoy the moment — that’s why I started it.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? For me, “explore” goes far beyond places. It means exploring yourself and your own potential — pushing your limits, stepping outside your comfort zone, and constantly working to become the best version of yourself. Growth happens when you’re willing to try new things and embrace experiences that challenge you. Every time you explore something new, you learn a little more about who you are.

WHAT’S A RISK YOU TOOK THAT LED YOU SOMEWHERE INCREDIBLE? It was never about just one risk for me. I’ve taken many throughout my life — especially when it came to starting over. I’ve moved around, stepped into unfamiliar places, and had to build new chapters more than once. Not every experience was easy, and not every risk worked out the way I expected — but every single one, good and bad, led me exactly where I’m supposed to be. It brought me to Naples, where I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in every aspect of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.

HOW DOES YOUR PALATE REFLECT YOUR OWN EXPLORATION OF FOOD AND FLAVOR? My palate definitely reflects my personality. I’m always down to try something new. I love exploring different foods, flavors, and experiences — because some of the best surprises happen when you step outside your comfort zone. I’ve always believed you should try everything at least once, because you never know what might become your new favorite thing.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE? The beach, always at sunset — when the water turns silver and everything gets a little quieter. I love taking long walks while listening to chill deep house music. It’s where I can clear my mind, reset, and recharge. There’s something about the combination of the ocean, the music, and slowing down that always brings me back to center.

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE?

An adventure centered around connection — because the best destinations aren’t really about places. They’re about the people and the moments you remember.

WHAT DOES THE WORD “EXPLORE” MEAN TO YOU, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY? “Explore” has taught me the beauty of remaining curious. I believe exploration is what drives evolution. It keeps me inspired, curious, and wanting to contribute.

WHERE DO YOU GO — PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY — WHEN YOU NEED TO RECHARGE? Velocity Naples, always. All I need is 45 minutes surrounded by my team, friends, and family. A workout and a quick catch-up afterward — and suddenly I’m laughing, singing, and just being. Easy, quick fix.

IF YOUR CAREER WERE A TRAVEL DESTINATION, WHAT KIND OF ADVENTURE WOULD IT PROMISE? A Mother’s Determination

HOW ONE MOSQUITO BITE SPARKED A BETTER WAY

A decade ago, on a warm Michigan evening, our wooded backyard should have offered nothing more than simple summer joy. Instead, it delivered turmoil. While swimming at dusk, my daughter Katie was bitten once by a mosquito. Within minutes, she suffered a severe allergic reaction that turned a carefree family moment into pure misery. In that instant, I understood with brutal clarity: for people like Katie, “mostly effective” protection simply wasn’t enough.

Like many health-conscious parents, I refused to rely on DEET-heavy chemicals. I spent hundreds of dollars on every natural alternative I could find—sprays, bracelets, stickers, and yard treatments. None delivered real relief. The disappointment was exhausting, yet it fueled a deeper resolve. There had to be a better solution.

Drawing from my experience crafting natural remedies for my son’s eczema, I began experimenting in the kitchen. I’m not a chemist—just a former real estate broker turned stay-at-home mom, driven by fierce necessity. On my very first attempt, the results stunned me. It didn’t work partially. It worked completely. For the first time, Katie could enjoy the outdoors without fear. The sense of relief was profound.

I never intended to start a business. I simply wanted to protect my child. But when

friends and family witnessed the difference, they began asking for batches before summer camps, soccer games, and vacations. Their encouragement was persistent. During the quiet months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I finally took the leap and began producing what is now known as **Buzz Blocker Mosquito & No-See-Um Repellent**.

Today, Buzz Blocker has grown well beyond our Michigan backyard, earning loyal customers even in Florida’s demanding environment, where no-see-ums challenge every repellent on the market. Its core remains unchanged: certified organic ingredients, zero harsh chemicals, and uncompromising effectiveness. It was born from a mother’s insistence that children deserve to play freely and safely outdoors.

Many users also report excellent results against horseflies, ticks, and even fire ants.

Buzz Blocker is available in 4 oz sprays and tallow versions, as well as a convenient 3 oz roll-on perfect for air travel. You can find it online at  https://www.katiescleancreations. com, or in person at local community golf and tennis shops, resorts, and Food and Thought 1 on Tamiami Trail.

The most powerful innovations rarely come from corporate laboratories. They are born from love, necessity, and a mother who refused to accept anything less than real protection for her children.

“Its core remains unchanged: certified organic ingredients, zero harsh chemicals, and uncompromising effectiveness. It was born from a mother’s insistence that children deserve to play freely and safely outdoors.”

I chose NCH because of innovation. I trust NCH because of quality.

Chief, Cardiothoracic Surgery

VP, NCH Rooney Heart Institute

James and Jaimie Yeh Endowed Chair

When Tommy Caranasos, MD, visited the NCH Rooney Heart Institute, he saw something exceptional: a hospital system blending academic-level medicine with a close-knit culture of teamwork. “Our healthcare system offers the highest quality of care, innovation, research, and teaching,” he said. “We’re bringing all the expertise together—in one place.”

That culture of innovation and compassion inspired his move from the University of North Carolina (UNC) to NCH, where physicians, surgeons, and specialists work side by side to advance cardiovascular care for the region. “It’s not often that physicians get to develop, innovate, perform research, and teach while all focused on one goal: delivering the best care for our community,” said Dr. Caranasos.

Collaboration And

Russell Knight opened a law office in Naples, Florida in 2018 after years of operating a similar office in Chicago, Illinois. The focus of his practice was not courtroom antics but quiet preparation to avoid that drama.

“I provide options and advise which option will provide the most leverage,” says Russell Knight. “Conflicts with others during life changes need a path forward. A little strategy goes a long way.”

Naples, Florida clientele are often wealthy retirees who have assets in multiple states. Determining the appropriate jurisdiction to file in is always step one. Accurately defining those assets is step two.

When both parties have a clear view of what’s at stake, mediation can take place in an atmosphere of honesty and disclosure. In this environment, settlement is not only likely, but also almost certain. Parties can move onto the next chapter of their life with the confidence that they are doing so on their own terms. A relationship that officially ends on a note of collaboration and dignity is a success in anyone’s book.

This type of preparation and posture avoids the chaos of a court room.

Of course, the only way to adequately settle these matters is to besufficiently and obviously prepared for the alternative…a trial.

GULF COAST LUXURY GROUP EXPANDS ITS REACH WITH STRATEGIC MICHIGAN PARTNERSHIP

“...Aligning with the right local team strengthens our ability to intelligently source and underwrite these opportunities while continuing to build a real pipeline throughout the market.”

Naples has long attracted serious money, but increasingly, it's attracting serious firms. The latest signal: a formal strategic partnership between Gulf Coast Luxury Group and Vanguard Real Estate Group, a fully integrated Michigan-based firm that has quietly been building its Southwest Florida footprint since establishing Vanguard Realty Group Florida in early 2025.

At the center of the collaboration is Lauren Rossi, Founder and Team Lead of Gulf Coast Luxury Group. Affiliated with John R. Wood Christie's International Real Estate, Southwest Florida's most established brokerage with more than six decades of local history, Rossi's team of eight has built its reputation on relationships, market intelligence, and a brand platform that reaches Naples' most discerning buyers and sellers directly.

For Vanguard, the alignment fills a critical gap. The Rochester Hills-based firm, which has completed nearly $1 billion in transactions across

Michigan and Florida, specializes in land acquisition, residential development, and capital advisory. Naples, with its constrained supply, layered neighborhood dynamics, and competitive pricing environment, demands exactly the kind of on-the-ground intelligence that a relationship-driven local team provides.

"Strategic growth is about aligning with professionals who bring exceptional local knowledge, relationships, and integrity to the process," said Frank LaLama, Vanguard's Chief Financial Officer. "This relationship strengthens our ability to operate more effectively in the Naples market while supporting our broader long-term objectives throughout Southwest Florida."

“Southwest Florida continues to see strong demand from buyers, investors, and builders competing for a very limited supply of well-positioned opportunities," added Michael DiNello, Vanguard's Chief Operating Officer. "In Naples, the difference is often in the details, neighborhood dynamics, redevelopment potential, pricing behavior, and local relationships. Aligning with the right local team strengthens our ability to intelligently source and underwrite these opportunities while continuing to build a real pipeline throughout the market."

Rossi sees the partnership as a natural extension of her team's approach. "We're excited to collaborate with Vanguard as they continue expanding their presence throughout Southwest Florida. Their long-term approach, development perspective, and strategic vision align well with the dynamics of the Naples market."

For Naples residents, the partnership reflects something broader: the market's continued ascent as a destination not just for luxury homebuyers, but for institutional-caliber investors and developers who recognize the region'slong-term value.

WEEKEND ESCAPE TO EAU RESORT & SPA

For Naples families looking for an easy luxury weekend away or couples wanting a refined coastal escape without the hassle of flying, Eau Resort & Spa—pronounced “Oh”—offers one of the strongest options on Florida’s east coast. Located oceanfront in Manalapan, just south of Palm Beach, the resort creates the feeling of a true destination getaway while still being an easy drive across the state.

The property is designed to work equally well for couples seeking a quiet, romantic weekend and families traveling with children who still want a

polished resort experience. From the moment you arrive, the service feels highly personalized, creating a stay that’s elevated.

Every guest room features a private balcony, allowing the ocean to feel like part of the stay rather than just the view. The rooms are spacious enough for families traveling with children, while still maintaining the elevated design and privacy couples look for in a weekend retreat. For adults seeking a quieter stay, the adults-only Tranquility Pool and surrounding tower suites offer a more secluded experience, while the central resort areas make pool, beach, and dining access simple for families.

One of the most impressive parts of the property is the spa. Eau Spa is expansive, beautifully designed, and feels like its own private resort within the resort. The spa experience is highly personalized from the moment you arrive, with treatments tailored to your preferences and quiet spaces that allow you to fully disconnect. Private garden villas, oversized relaxation lounges, steam rooms, saunas, plunge pools, and peaceful outdoor spaces make it feel far beyond a traditional hotel spa. Whether booking a couples massage, facial, or a full spa day, the level of detail and service makes it one of the standout experiences on property.

Dining is another major strength of the resort, especially dinner at Angle. The restaurant offers a more intimate, elevated dining experience with a menu that’s refined. Fresh seafood, beautifully prepared steaks, and seasonal ingredients make it one of the standout dinners on property. The setting itself feels warm

and polished, making it ideal for a slower dinner whether you are on a couples getaway or enjoying a special family meal. For more casual daytime dining, Breeze Ocean Kitchen offers oceanfront lunches that keep the coastal setting front and center.

For families, Eau balances luxury with practicality. Their kids and teen programming through Loggers Kids Club and Hide Away Teen Club creates dedicated spaces for younger guests, allowing parents to enjoy time at the spa, beach, or adults-only amenities without sacrificing family convenience. Beach activities like paddleboarding, boogie boarding, and watersports make it equally appealing for active families looking to stay engaged throughout the trip.

What makes Eau stand out is its ability to feel elevated without being complicated or difficult. It works just as well for a romantic anniversary weekend as it does for a family beach escape with young children. For Naples residents looking for a luxury weekend escape that feels like a true getaway without the inconvenience of flying, Eau Resort & Spa delivers exactly that.

The 10% Target Mindset

Jen Cohen ON THE PRACTICE OF ASKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT

Winnipeg in the winter, and a 17-year-old waits 45 minutes in the cold for Keanu Reeves. Her fingers are numb. She is not there for an autograph. She is there to ask him to appear in her audition tape for MuchMusic, Canada’s MTV. When he finally agrees, she writes her number on a gum wrapper with a borrowed lip liner.

He calls days later.

That 17-year-old was Jen Cohen — fitness expert, host of the Habits & Hustle podcast, and best-selling author. She has built a career on the premise her frostbitten afternoon proved. She calls the practice the 10% Target: 10 attempts at whatever you want most in life.

The premise is simple. Most people never make one attempt. Almost nobody makes two. The math works in favor of the person who keeps going.

The top-rated Habits & Hustle podcast has logged hundreds of conversations with high performers and the people who study what the body does to the mind. Her TEDx talk, The Secret to Getting Anything You Want in Life, has traveled widely inside Fortune 500 sales-training rooms. On the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Cohen sits down to share the working rules that are the foundation of her latest book, Bigger, Better, Bolder.

“You have to be the CEO of your own life.”

MAKE TEN ATTEMPTS

The door opens, or another door does. The unmade attempt and the refused one leave you in the same place — except one of them teaches you something.

STACK THE DECK

Cohen frames her habits as a wager: How do I stack the deck so I win more than I lose? The workout happens first, and the food decisions follow. The email follow-up gets sent, and the answer arrives. The choices compound in a single direction.

3

DISCIPLINE IS A PRACTICED SKILL, NOT AN INHERITANCE

No one is born with it. The people who look disciplined are running a routine they have rehearsed long enough that it no longer feels like effort. The reps are the skill. Miss them, and the skill fades, the same as any other.

4

SELF-TALK ONLY WORKS WHEN THE BODY BACKS IT UP

Confidence does not arrive by repeating the word. It arrives after the body has done the thing — the workout finished, the cold walk endured, the email sent. The mind takes its cues from what the body proves it can do. Talk follows action, not the other way around.

5

NEVER MISS A MONDAY

The first decision sets the slope of the rest. Skip the Monday workout, and the rest of the week tends to follow. Hold the line on Monday, and the slope tilts the other way.
