When I was about 5 years old, I had to tag along to some sort of business dinner with my dad. I was known for being a very easy child (in my early days), but this particular night I can remember being... more hyper than my usual self. My dad warned me if I kept jumping around then he would have to take me to the bathroom for a talk I suppose I was feeling brave that evening, because my antics didn't stop. Sure enough, he took me by the hand and led me to the one-stall bathroom for our "coming to Jesus meeting". He closed & locked the door, turned around... and grinned. I can remember both of us busting out in laughter. I didn't realize in my 5-year-old mind then, but looking back now I can remember feeling the sense of understanding, joy, and ultimate love from my father. Neither one of us wanted to be at that dinner, and it felt validating in that moment that my dad was just silly with me.
My husband has always lived his life by the saying “people don't remember the things you said to them, but how you made them feel.” “I can’t recall all of the life lessons or encouraging words that my dad imparted in me. But I do know that with him, I have always felt supported, heard, understood, safe, and even silly.”
It's no secret that my family is the element in my life that I'm most proud of. I am extremely grateful to have been raised by a father who lives his life for others and with integrity. And now I am able to raise two stunning girls alongside their father, who is, no doubt, the most incredible human.
Happy Father's Day to all the men who are setting the foundation for future world changers. By default, you have a big responsibility & impact on so many lives around you!

Oasis Face Bar is your skin's happy place & the best 30 minutes of your week.
ARTICLE BY MORGAN RAUM PHOTOGRAPHY BY LEGACY OF LOVE PHOTO & FILMLindsey James and her husband, both Ohio transplants, made Nashville home in February of 2020. On the hunt for a place to put down roots, it didn’t take long for the pair to realize Nashville would be a perfect fit. As soon as they settled in, their plans to explore and become acquainted in their new city took a shift as the Covid-19 pandemic abruptly hit. While it wasn’t the welcome they had planned, Lindsey notes that Music City “still managed to charm [them].”
Back in Cincinnati, before the move, Lindsey ran an online CBD company, called Relax Babe, that was built around self-care and relaxation. Through that, she met Molly Lyons, the founder of Oasis Face Bar. Lindsey was at the beginning of her career and the two connected over the challenges of being small business owners. By the time Lindsey was an official Tennessee resident, Molly was franchising Oasis across the country and gave an interesting offer: to open an Oasis franchise in the heart of Music City. Since Relax Babe was already in the self-care space, and Lindsey liked the idea of having a physical store in Nashville, it was an easy ‘yes.’ Oasis Face Bar Nashville opened its doors in March of 2022, aiming to shake things up in the Nashville skincare scene. Their business is all about ditching the spa fluff and focusing on personalized, results-driven facials. Whether you're a skincare newbie or a regular, their expert estheticians will create a customized plan to achieve your goals, with monthly treatments and a recommended at-home routine.
While their initial vision for Oasis was to create a haven for the busy millennial woman, the team began to offer a variety of targeted facial treatments specifically designed for men's skin - anticipating a few male clients joining their partners for a facial. Only two years into their Nashville location, there became a surge in men booking facials independently! Lindsey shares that The Gent Targeted Treatment has become a fan favorite; it provides a solid foundation for healthy skin with cleansing, extractions, and a revitalizing mask. Recently, they have also seen a growing interest for their advanced clinical facials, such as HydraFacials, Glo2 Oxygen Facials, and Acne & Frotox Cryo Facials. These offer a more targeted approach for specific concerns, pack a serious punch with powerful ingredients and technology, and leave you absolutely glowing. Plus, they're super efficient – perfect for gentlemen on the go who want maximum results without the downtime.
“While our services and approach were already well-suited to men, we recognized an opportunity to enhance the spa experience for our male clientele. We recently completed an aesthetic refresh to create an elevated, inclusive environment that not only resonates more with our male clientele, but also reflects the high-end nature of our treatments and the expertise of our staff,” says Lindsey. “We have always strived to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment so everyone, regardless of gender, feels comfortable

seeking the services we offer. We ditch the traditional spa fluff – no cumbersome robes or cucumber water rituals. Our facials were designed to be efficient and effective, in and out in 30 minutes.”
The success of their Nashville location underscores a growing trend - men are increasingly embracing selfcare and taking a proactive approach to maintaining healthy skin. When asked what advice she has for men wanting to adjust their skincare routine, Lindsey shares, “a consistent skincare routine with high-quality products and a monthly facial goes a long way. Cleansing, hydrating, and protecting the skin are essential steps to maintaining healthy radiant skin which affects our physical and mental wellbeing. Washing your face twice daily with a gentle cleanser removes dirt and oil, while a daily moisturizer keeps skin hydrated, especially after shaving. Most importantly, applying a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every day is vital to prevent sun damage.”
Skincare doesn’t need to be a pampered luxury with a hefty price tag. At Oasis Face Bar, their goal is to provide a casual environment where clients can drop in for exceptional, naturally derived skin care services, while being educated on each step of their treatment and never feel intimidated. They have researched and hand-picked only the best facials and cutting-edge treatments – like HydraFacial, Glo2 Oxygen Facial, and Cryo Facial with Radio Frequency – all available in convenient 30-minute appointments. They also specialize in eyebrows! Think of them as your one-stop shop for a complete facial refresh; They offer both customized treatments starting at $79 and clinical facials with proven results starting at $135. For first timers, they even offer a warm welcome with 15% off your first visit.
“We're thrilled to play a role in this movement, and we're constantly innovating to ensure our services meet the evolving needs of all our clients,” Lindsey shares. “It turns out, everyone wants healthy, glowing skin!”
RAMBLER EVENTS STRIVES TO DELIVER GUESTS AN UNFORGETTABLE CULINARY EXPERIENCE IN UNIQUE, OUTDOOR SETTINGS.
ARTICLE BY MORGAN RAUMFounded by chef Patrick McCandless in 2017, Rambler started with a desire to bring people together in nature, reconnect them to their food sources, and enjoy thoughtful, elevated meals prepared over an open fire. When you join them at one of their events, you know that every detail has been thoughtfully put together: from the menu to the activities, music, and settings around you, all distilled into a lasting memory.
Patrick began his culinary career at the age of 14, and over the years, deepened his curiosity for the
craft. He attended culinary school in Louisville, Kentucky where he then ventured around Europe and The United States honing his skills within the industry. In addition to holding various chef positions at restaurants across the country, Patrick has worked as a private chef in The Hamptons, a culinary consultant to restaurants and resorts, culinary liaison for tours and festivals, studied gastronomy in 12 countries including stints at smokehouses in Ireland and the Netherlands, and
has been a guest chef at the famed James Beard House in NYC. He has also held multiple traveling chef positions performing hundreds of events working alongside Michelin-starred and James Beard Awarded chefs.
After moving to Nashville in 2016, he decided to create a concept that allowed him to be outdoors, in nature, and work with his passion for live-fire cooking, while still being able to create unique meals for guests. Influenced by McCandless' travels around the world, each Rambler event is uniquely crafted to bring people together - conversing, breaking bread, and
spending time in nature, Rambler strives to deliver guests an unforgettable culinary experience in unique, outdoor settings.
Creating their very own professional, restaurant-quality mobile kitchen to execute events in remote locations has been a sought-after game changer; conceptualizing, designing, and building each piece of their custom wood cooking equipment has helped make his dreams of this company a reality.
When asked what it has meant to him to combine his passions for cooking and nature,
Patrick shares, “It means a lot to me. It’s been a ton of hard work… we’re always developing new methods, new equipment… just always getting better at what we do.”
In addition to their public, ticketed events, Rambler also offers private events and catering; traveling all over the country to perform their services. Rambler also sells their very own line of custom, small-batch aprons hand-crafted right here in Nashville, TN. These were designed by chefs to be tough, durable, stand up to heavy use, and help protect from the high heat of cooking next to fire.

YOU COME FROM A HISTORY AND FAMILY WHO WERE ALL IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY. GROWING UP, DID YOU ALWAYS DREAM ABOUT BECOMING A LAWYER?
Actually, quite the opposite. In addition to my parents being brokers, my grandfather was a principal broker and auctioneer for 60 years. In fact, about 70% of the rest of my maternal family (I have 88 second cousins in Wilson County) worked in the industry as well. I grew up wanting nothing to do with Real Estate and had told my family I wanted to be a doctor since I was 10 years old. I received my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Tennessee. I met many well-respected doctors who told me, “Unless you have some spiritual calling to be a doctor - don’t do it. By the time you get out, it’ll be an entirely new industry.” Hearing that advice as a 22-yearold going into my final year of undergrad, it hit me that this profession wasn’t for me. From there, I finished my BCMB degree, went back home, and ended up clerking for a local law firm to see if law school was a possibility. Turns out, I loved it. I just loved the freeing aspect of business... and the rest is history.
ARTICLE BY MORGAN RAUM PHOTOGRAPHY BY PHYLLIS LANETRESSLER & ASSOCIATES FOCUSES ON BUSINESS LAW, ESTATE PLANNING, AND REAL ESTATE LAW. WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THESE PARTICULAR SECTORS OF LAW?
While in law school, it was a natural fit for me to be drawn to transactional law because of my upbringing in the real estate industry. I built my practice within the real estate vertical of the law and through the years, quickly understood that business law and estate law overall supported the practice of real estate law.
YOU AND YOUR TEAM SEEM TO BE SO APPROACHABLE AND GENUINE! HOW HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED THIS INTERNALLY?
That is a huge compliment! From the beginning, my vision was to not be what the traditional, cold, elitist, overly competitive practice that law has become. When this country was first started, the practice of law was a service to the public and paid for by our public tax dollars. So, yes, we truly are approachable! We will call you back within 24 hours or less, and we will not over bill you past the initial retainer without speaking to the client first. Basically, we fight every day for our clients to be the exact opposite of what those stereotypical law firms are out in the marketplace.
TRESSLER & ASSOCIATES HAVE MADE INCREDIBLE COMMITMENTS TO GIVING BACK TO 5 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITY. HOW/WHY HAS THIS BECOME SUCH A FOCAL POINT IN YOUR BUSINESS?
I’m a giver through and through. I was raised to give back to our communities; not only with money, but with your time and experience. I’m a firm believer you have to reciprocate what has been given to you; rather than take more than you’ve been given.
ESTATE PLANNING CAN BE VERY OVERWHELMING TO SOME. WHAT WISDOM COULD YOU GIVE AS IT PERTAINS TO PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE?
Listen, very few people get up in the morning and think about planning for their death. Further, the legal profession, historically, has driven this practice by fear! I usually say, ‘50% of estate planning is for the client’s wishes and the other 50% is planning for their loved ones.’ I know that this perspective has helped ease the minds of our clients’ families.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST PIECE OF ADVICE TO GIVE TO A NEW BUSINESS OWNER?
Stay in the lane of your traffic! I, too, was guilty of getting distracted by other needs of the business the first couple of years into beginning my firm. I advise business owners to budget for the professions they will need as their business matures. Save a few hundred dollars so that you can have an attorney on retainer, a CPA ready to go as needed, etc. Many business owners call us when the problem has already happened. If we had been involved in big decisions from the beginning, we would have had a much better chance at avoiding the problem that manifested itself out of the business owner getting out of his or her “lane of traffic.”
WE MIGHT BE BIASED, BUT NASHVILLE IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE YOU! WHAT ABOUT NASHVILLE HAS BEEN SPECIAL TO YOU AND YOUR CAREER?
Nashville/Middle Tennessee is just in my DNA; I’ve never lived anywhere else. I love to travel the world when able, but I’m always happy to come back home. It is true Nashville has changed so much, but that’s because the world finally discovered what a treasure our city is. You can have all the ‘things’ you want in Nashville; from urban life downtown to rural, country areas that move at a much slower pace. You’ve really got the best of both worlds.
WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS TRESSLER & ASSOCIATES APART FROM A TYPICAL FIRM?
These three words are the core foundation of our purpose-driven law practice: Faith, Love, and Gratitude; with love being the most powerful of them all. We know that this could easily be interpreted that our firm is weak and all “lovey dovey”as my Granny Hobbs used to say. It couldn’t be more opposite. At our firm, we rarely use the word ‘clients’. The ‘client’ is truly apart of our family, and we protect them, their assets, their goals, and their intentions- just as family would.
Whether you are a new golfer or have been playing for decades, we all want the same thing—to be a single-digit handicap (or better). In some professions, golfing with clients is a must, and slicing off the tee box can kill the deal.
If you are buying clubs off the rack, you aren’t giving yourself the best chance for success. Golf technology is evolving every year, and although you don’t need to buy a new driver each year, if you’ve been playing with the same clubs for 5+ years, it’s time to take advantage of the new equipment. Newer clubs have lower and deeper center of gravity (CG), creating an easier launch off the face. Even off-center strikes can produce a straight shot with the right set of clubs. Any major golf store will fit you for free—just make sure you get the correct length club and size grip. The clubs don’t swing themselves, so don’t neglect instruction and practice, but getting the right equipment is a vital piece of the puzzle.
On drivers and hybrids, some of the newest equipment have premium shaft options off the rack. Generally, a $300 driver has a low-grade $15 shaft that you should change. The shaft is the engine of the club, so getting custom shafts will add distance and forgiveness—guaranteed.
As for the putter, you use it more than any other club in your bag on every round of golf. It should be the most tailored club in your bag.
Get good golf instruction, REGULARLY.
02.
We’ve all heard someone say, “I should get a lesson sometime.” To be effective, you need regular lessons from a PGA certified pro, not just one lesson. Getting quality instruction from the same instructor can turn slices into draws and give you the confidence to play with anyone on any course. Years ago, golf instructors started instruction with chipping and putting and then graduated to the driver. Now, instructors have been pressured to start with the driver because we all want to outdrive our friends. Resist that temptation! Get instruction on your short game and irons first. My friend regularly outdrives me by 50 yards, but my ball is in the hole first most of the time because of my training and practice on the short game.
03.
There are thousands of golf books, but don’t worry, you only need to read a handful of them to up your golf IQ. Here are some top reads: Short game: Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible by Dave Pelz
Mental game: Golf is Not a Game of Perfect by Bob Rotella Mechanics: Practical Golf by John Jacobs
Ball flight laws: The Practice Manual by Adam Young (only read the first 50 pages)
04.
You don’t even have to spend time away from your family while practicing if you don’t have a golf simulator. You can practice putting and chipping on the carpet while watching TV with your family.
Chipping and the bump and run: The only mechanical advice I will give is the most important lesson you can learn in the short game. When you miss your approach shot you must be able to chip the ball within 8 feet of the hole for a one putt. Try this shot from Dave Peltz’s short game book. It gets me up and down from 25 yards out to just off the green.
Instructors have been pressured to start with the driver because we all want to outdrive our friends. Resist that temptation! Get instruction on your short game and irons first.
