Before Kingdom Coffee became a reality, its founder, Isabelle Lanari, had a dream of building a place where people could feel at home. She had been working in coffee shops since she was 16, learning the craft and understanding what makes a café special. With a vision for something unique, she set out to create a space that reflected her love for both coffee and community.
In the beginning, it was just Isabelle. She handled every aspect of the shop, from brewing espresso to stocking shelves, all while building relationships with
customers. The demand quickly exceeded expectations, with more customers visiting than anticipated, keeping Isabelle constantly busy trying to keep up. Mornings were spent perfecting the art of the pour, afternoons managing supplies, and late nights dedicated to roasting beans.
Creativity is at the heart of Kingdom Coffee, especially when it comes to the menu. Every beverage and food item is designed with a balance of flavor, aesthetics, and health-consciousness. Color and natural ingredients play a big role—like the beetroot powder in the rose latte, which

not only gave it a vibrant hue but also added nutrients. Quality over quantity is the foundation of every offering.
Presentation is just as important as taste. A beautifully designed latte or a perfectly plated avocado toast isn’t just enjoyable—it creates a moment of delight.
Customers often find themselves snapping pictures before taking a bite, sharing their experience beyond the walls of the shop.
The menu reflects a dedication to thoughtful ingredients. Everything is made with care—no seed oils, organic cage-free eggs, house-made syrups with simple ingredients, and coffee roasted
with precision. Every item is designed to be both delicious and mindful, ensuring customers leave satisfied.
As Kingdom Coffee continues to evolve, so does its vision. The shop plans to expand into a larger space, transforming it into a high-end music lounge where local artists can perform. The goal is to offer the same sense of warmth and connection in the evening, bringing people together over music in the same way they do over coffee.
“My dream is to create a high-end music lounge where people can enjoy local music artists play,” Isabelle shares. “Maple Grove
needs a cozy, tasteful evening spot, and I think it would complement the coffee shop beautifully.”
Looking back, Kingdom Coffee’s success is a testament to hard work, community, and passion. The journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has only made the shop stronger. From managing the rush of customers to refining the systems that keep everything running smoothly, every lesson learned has been invaluable.
For anyone dreaming of starting their own business, Isabelle has one piece of advice:
“Work in the industry you want to enter. We live in a time where we want things quickly, but nothing replaces the lessons learned from hard work, persistence, and the behind-the-scenes hustle that no one sees.”

There are many things that can help a room feel relaxing, but let’s keep it simple and focus on my top three. I would say that one must incorporate good lighting, great textures, and a decluttered space to truly get the cozy vibes. Let’s tackle each.
GOOD LIGHTING
It is imperative that there are multiple sources of light in a space. A room needs a soft warm light, so I always like to use a light bulb between 2,700k and 3,000k. Also, and I see this so many times, all lights should have the same temperature light bulb to avoid clashing. It’s not enough to just have recessed or pendant lighting. I always add a table or floor lamp to a space to truly have ambient light. Also, candles are a must for me. They can be scented candles (an extra way to add relaxation) or I like to use remote control tapered candles, so I don’t have to worry about cleaning up wax later.
GREAT TEXTURES
Textures are seen in toss pillows, rugs, draperies, throw blankets and furniture upholstery. Textures add color, pattern and visual interest. I like to use at least three different textures to help a room feel lived-in and welcoming.
DECLUTTERING
So many times, a person thinks that every nook and cranny and every wall need to have something, and this is not the case. A decluttered space is actually more relaxing because overcrowding of items doesn’t quiet the mind. Decluttering a space can be overwhelming, I get it, so just do it in stages. You’ll love the outcome when the room is tidy, organized and you are only surrounded with what brings you joy.

DANDELION GREENS:
Dandelion greens are a nutritious and easy addition to any meal, perfect for salads or cooked dishes. They are rich in vitamins A, C, K, chlorophyll, and fiber, making them a great choice for digestion and overall health. Their light flavor and texture enhance salads and sandwiches.
BROCCOLI:
Broccoli is often hailed as a nutritional powerhouse, packed with a variety of vitamins and minerals that support overall health. Known for being high in vitamins A, C, and K, it also contains important minerals like potassium, iron, and calcium. In addition, it’s a rich source of beta-carotene, flavonoids, and fiber. Whether raw or cooked, broccoli is an excellent choice for immune system support, making it one of the most nutrient-dense vegetables available.
KALE:
Kale is loaded with essential nutrients such as vitamins C, B6, E, K, and manganese. It contains twice as much selenium as spinach and is an excellent source of calcium. Kale’s unique properties help bind to cholesterol and lower oxalate levels, which promotes calcium absorption and makes it suitable for those prone to kidney stones. Additionally, it provides eye health benefits, thanks to lutein, and its disease-fighting properties make it a great addition to salads, smoothies, and more.

• ¾ oz. Dry Vermouth

• Orange Twist
• Glass Type: Coupe
DIRECTIONS:
1. Squeeze your OJ.
