Founded in 1863 as the nation’s first operational land-grant university, Kansas State’s storied Manhattan campus has undoubtedly amassed an extraordinary legacy spanning more than a century and a half. Encompassing 668 acres within the heart of the Flint Hills, the campus boasts an array of architectural styles that collectively narrate its rich history. The university's iconic edifices showcase diverse variations of classical design, all adorned with native limestone. Sourced from local quarries scattered across the region, this native limestone has been a foundational element since the institution's inception. Explore our compilation of the most cherished buildings on the K-State campus.

Anderson Hall

Built between 1877 and 1885 in three phases, K-State’s trademark administrative building was constructed of Cottonwood Limestone.

A product of Baytown, Texas, Roberson came to Kansas State in 2000. Becoming the starter his junior year, he guided the Wildcats to a 2002 Holiday Bowl victory against Arizona State. In 2003, during his senior season, Roberson would lead K-State to a berth in their first Big 12 Championship game, and a 35-7 victory of #1 Oklahoma, giving the Wildcats their first conference championship since 1934 in arguably the biggest win in school history. A 10-time school record holder, he is now living in Mont Belvieu, Texas, working for an oil and gas company called Targa Resources as a Senior Specialist in Safety Communication and Training. He is married with two daughters.
