LIFESTYLE LETTER
Style Has No Rules I’ve always had a thing for style. As a little girl, I would cut up my own clothes to create new outfits for my Barbies. My mom would get so frustrated when another perfectly good piece of clothing fell victim to my scissors, but she also loved seeing my creativity come to life. And apparently, I never outgrew it. T-shirts still regularly fall victim to my scissors as I cut, crop and rework them into something that feels a little more like me. I love mixing colors, playing with layers and finding unexpected ways to put things together. Friends even ask me to help them rethink or restyle their own pieces. For me, fashion has never been about simply following trends. It’s about taking something and making it your own. That’s one of the reasons I loved putting together this month’s Style Issue. Style is incredibly personal, and there really are no rules when it comes to expressing who you are. In Find Your Style, True Find Boutique owner Rebekah Fisher reminds us that fashion should celebrate our individuality, not make us look like everyone else. From mixing patterns and textures to breaking old fashion rules, her approach is all about making a look your own. This feature became even more personal for me because my own children joined us as models. Seeing their personalities come through in the clothes made the message behind the story that much more meaningful. We continue the fashion conversation with Rebekah’s True Finds, where she shares the timeless pieces and accessories she loves, and proves that sometimes one great detail can transform an entire look. Style, of course, goes well beyond our closets. Lash + Company Littleton explores natural-looking permanent makeup and how personalized beauty can simplify your routine while still feeling like you. Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms takes style outdoors, showing us how texture, structure and color can create a garden that evolves beautifully through every season. And Littleton Arts gives us plenty of ways to experience creativity throughout September, from public art and galleries to theater, music and Walk the Chalk. Because ultimately, style is personal. Whether it’s what you wear, how you express yourself, or the spaces you create around you, the best style is the one that feels distinctly yours. And if that means breaking out the scissors and cutting up a perfectly good T-shirt, I say cut away. D A N I E L L E V O N F E L D T, P U B L I C AT I O N D I R E C T O R @LITTLETON_CITY_LIFESTYLE

Made Effortless DISCOVER NATURAL-LOOKING PERMANENT MAKEUP DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT YOUR UNIQUE FEATURES AND LIFESTYLE.
Imagine waking up every morning with perfectly shaped brows, softly defined eyes, or naturally tinted lips, without reaching for a makeup bag. Today’s permanent makeup techniques are designed to enhance your natural features, not create harsh or artificial results. Whether you’re considering brows, lip blushing, or eyeliner enhancement, every treatment begins with one priority: creating a look that complements you. At Lash + Company Littleton, we believe permanent makeup should feel collaborative. That’s why we proudly offer complimentary consultations, giving you the opportunity to meet with our permanent makeup artist, Josie, ask questions, discuss your goals, and learn exactly what to expect before making any commitment. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your facial features, lifestyle, skin type, and desired results while recommending the technique that’s the best fit for you. Before any pigment is applied, we carefully map and design your treatment area so you can see the shape and approve every detail. Nothing begins until you’re completely comfortable. We believe beautiful results start with trust, communication, and a customized plan designed specifically for you. For many clients, permanent makeup makes mornings simpler and more enjoyable. Instead of filling in sparse brows, reapplying lipstick throughout the day, or struggling to create even eyeliner, they wake up looking refreshed and ready to go. The goal isn’t to change who you are. It’s to enhance the beauty that’s already there with soft, timeless results that fit your features and your lifestyle. If you’ve been curious about permanent makeup but have hesitated because you’re nervous, you’re not alone. In fact, one of the things we hear most often is, “I wish I had done this sooner.” Our process is designed to help you feel informed, confident, and comfortable from beginning to end. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll answer your questions, review your medical history, explain the healing process, and recommend the treatment that’s best suited for your skin, features, and beauty goals. Every service is thoughtfully customized to create results that look naturally beautiful and uniquely yours. Healing is a journey, and we’re with you every step of the way. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions, ongoing support, and a perfecting appointment to ensure your results heal beautifully and meet your expectations. While permanent makeup is one of our newest specialties, our passion has always been helping clients feel confident in their own skin. As a full-service med spa, we also offer lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, brow shaping and laminations, customized facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, and advanced skincare treatments. Every service we provide is guided by the same philosophy: personalized care, natural-looking results, and helping you feel like the very best version of yourself.
READY TO SIMPLIFY YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE? Schedule your complimentary permanent makeup consultation and discover how effortless your mornings can become. Visit us at 8500 W. Bowles Ave., Suite 207, Littleton Call 720.316.7644, or book your consultation online at LashandCompany.com/co-littleton

FASHION YOUR WAY
For Rebekah Fisher, owner of True Find Boutique, fashion has always been about more than what is trending. It is a way to express individuality, embrace change, and feel confident in what you wear. “I firmly believe that our style should reflect and celebrate our lives, individuality and personalities,” she says. It is a philosophy that shapes both her personal style and the experience she creates at True Find, where she helps clients discover clothing that feels authentic to them. This fall offers plenty of opportunities to experiment. Fisher is seeing rich brocade and jacquard fabrics, intricate embroidery, paisley patterns, and beaded details bringing texture and personality to the season. Tuxedo-inspired dressing is also making an impact, along with monochromatic suiting, which she loves for its ability to create a long, streamlined silhouette. Her advice is not to adopt every trend, but to find the ones that speak to you. Start small with an unexpected accessory, experiment with a new texture or rethink a piece already hanging in your closet. The goal is not to look like everyone else. It is to use fashion as a way to show a little more of who you are. CONTINUED >

MIX IT UP Some of fall’s most interesting looks come from combinations that once might have broken the rules. Fisher is embracing the continued trend of mixing textures and patterns, pairing lace with leather, florals with plaid, and soft knits with more structured pieces. Accessories offer an easy way to experiment without committing to an entirely new look. Bold jewelry, colorful scarves, ties, and brooches can bring personality to pieces you already own. Fisher especially loves the return of the brooch, worn traditionally on a jacket or styled unexpectedly on a scarf, tie, belt or delicate necklace chain. The same approach can refresh an existing wardrobe. Try new layers, unexpected color combinations or contrasting fabrics. “Fashion should be about self-expression,” Fisher says. Forget outdated rules and give yourself permission to wear what feels interesting, flattering, and distinctly yours.

FROM DAY TO NIGHT
A versatile wardrobe should move with you, and transitioning a look from day to evening does not require a complete outfit change. Fisher recommends starting with a strong foundation, then using a few strategic swaps to change the mood. A tailored dress, jumpsuit or classic trousers and blouse can easily work for both. For daytime, keep things relaxed with loafers or flats, a practical tote and simple jewelry. When evening arrives, swap in heels or statement boots, trade the tote for a structured clutch and add bold earrings or layered necklaces. Scarves are another favorite styling tool. A silk scarf worn loosely around the neck during the day can be restyled for evening, even transformed into a chic top with a ring, bracelet or hair tie to secure it. The finishing touches can be just as simple. A deeper lip color, added eyeliner or a quick change to a sleek ponytail or bun can instantly make an outfit feel more polished. The key is choosing pieces with versatility in mind. When your wardrobe has a strong foundation, a handful of thoughtful changes can take you almost anywhere. CONTINUED >

THE ESSENTIALS
Building a fall wardrobe does not mean starting over each season. For Fisher, it begins with versatile pieces that can be layered, restyled, and worn in ways that feel entirely different. At the top of her list is a quality tailored wool coat in a timeless neutral such as camel, taupe or charcoal. Structured blazers are another essential, along with chunky knits, wideleg trousers and midi skirts in luxe fabrics such as velvet or silk. Statement boots add personality, while neutral turtlenecks provide an easy foundation for layering. Fisher also recommends looking at what is already in your closet with fresh eyes. A full button-down maxi dress can become a lightweight duster when worn open. A colorful scarf can transform a simple outfit. Mixing textures, experimenting with unexpected color combinations or adding a new belt, bag or piece of jewelry can make familiar clothing feel new again.
20
T R E N D SE T T E R | SHO P P IN G
And never underestimate fit. One of the most common styling mistakes Fisher sees is overlooking how clothing fits the individual. Tailoring a piece you already own can completely change how it looks, feels and ultimately gets worn. Most importantly, she encourages clients to stop letting old fashion rules dictate their choices. White after Labor Day? Absolutely. Bright colors and bold prints in fall? Even better. Fashion should leave room for creativity, experimentation, and personality. Her favorite rule to break may be the fear of being overdressed. As Fisher puts it, “‘Overdressed’ is just a rude way of saying you look better than everyone else.” Find a style that feels distinctly yours with personal styling from Fisher at True Find Boutique. SEASONS
OF BEAUTY As summer’s heat gives way to crisp, cool days, many of us look forward to spending more time outdoors, especially in our gardens. Fading blooms may suggest the season is winding down, but in Colorado, fall can be one of the most visually rewarding times in the garden — if you take the right steps ahead of time.

Every garden is unique, and as a living ecosystem, it naturally changes with the seasons. Designing with seasonal progression in mind helps create a landscape you can enjoy throughout the year.
GO WILD FOR INSPIRATION
Colorado’s naturally stunning landscapes have inspired gardeners for generations. The vibrant gold quaking aspen is quintessential to the season, while the Rocky Mountain maple dazzles in fiery reds and bright oranges. But you don’t need to head to the mountains to be inspired, all you need is a trip to Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. Nestled southwest of Littleton, Chatfield Farms is a 700-acre native plant refuge and an ideal place to see seasonal garden design in action — and gather ideas for your own outdoor spaces. The cultivated Gardens of the West showcase design techniques that add visual interest while featuring plants well suited to Colorado’s climate. Be sure to stroll the tree-lined trails and explore the Deer Creek Natural Area for more inspiration.
ELEMENTS OF GARDEN DESIGN
“Balancing texture, structure, and color is a great way to start designing a garden with year-round visual interest,” says Grace Johnson, Assistant Manager of Horticulture at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. “Grasses and shrubs provide form and structure, and late blooming perennials can dazzle with color.” Some plants, like native grasses, shrubs, and perennials with interesting silhouettes, provide both texture and structure, but there are distinct differences between the two elements. Texture refers to the tactile feeling a plant evokes, while structure is the backbone of your garden and what gives it shape after flowers are no longer blooming. When it comes to color, striking fall foliage is a hallmark of the season. Where spring and summer are known for vibrant, energizing colors, fall and winter gardens have a more sophisticated palate. “Color is not just for the warmer months,” says Johnson. “There are many late-blooming perennials, like asters, goldenrod, chrysanthemums, and pansies, that add color to a fall garden.” CONTINUED >

Creating a series of layers and architectural forms with plants of different sizes, shapes, textures, and colors allows for a garden to naturally transition through the seasons. “Consider leaving some of your plants standing after their flowering periods end,” says Johnson. “They can be transformed by frost, snow, and low winter light.” They also support a healthy backyard ecosystem, as perennial seedheads provide much-needed shelter for pollinators throughout the winter months.
WATERWISE RESOURCES FROM DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS
Choosing plants that thrive in Colorado’s climate helps ensure your garden will be resilient. Denver Botanic Gardens has many resources to support water-wise gardening, including classes, how-to guides, and plant lists. FINAL THOUGHTS
Butterly Pavilion at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
Gardens are an extension of our personal style — both are consistently evolving and changing with the seasons. Effective garden design is about more than chasing peak bloom, it’s about creating a sense of progression. Gather inspiration from your natural surroundings, take chances, and remember that there is beauty in every season.

REBEKAH’S TRUE FINDS For Rebekah, a true find is more than a designer label. It is a piece that catches your eye, feels distinctly personal and earns a lasting place in your wardrobe. Her appreciation for luxury fashion grew while working as a personal shopper and manager in highend consignment. There, she discovered not only the craftsmanship behind beautifully made clothing and accessories, but the value of giving exceptional pieces another life. That experience eventually helped inspire True Find Boutique. Rebekah describes her own style as “elegant, dynamic and expressive,” an approach reflected in the pieces she gravitates toward. She loves timeless designers,
beautiful textiles and accessories capable of transforming an entire look. This fall, she is especially drawn to well-tailored jackets and coats in fine wool, cashmere, and soft knits from brands such as Brunello Cucinelli, The Row, and Max Mara, that speak to her appreciation for quality and enduring style. For accessories, vintage brooches and antique watches, as well as silk or cashmere scarves to create instant character and impact. Statement boots are another great accessory to elevate and personalize an outfit this season!” Ultimately, the best find is not simply something beautiful. It is something that feels unmistakably like you.
