OUTDOOR ADVENTURE | FOOD + BEVERAGE Tasty Creations BRADSHAW BEANS (for the oven or smoker) Recipe from Terry Bradshaw, created with his son-in-law, Noah Hester INGREDIENTS • 2 lb. ground beef • ½ lb. bacon • 2 bell peppers • 1 white onion • 2 cans each black beans, red beans, navy beans • 2 cups Bradshaw Bourbon BBQ Sauce or your favorite BBQ sauce DIRECTIONS Preheat oven or smoker to 350 degrees. Brown ground meat and drain off the fat. Open, rinse, and drain half the beans and keep half with the juice. Mix all ingredients together in a large foil pan, cover with foil, and bake or smoke for 40 minutes. Uncover and cook for another 30 minutes. PEACH PIZZA (for a backyard pizza oven) Recipe from Myke Olsen of Myke’s Pizza, MykesPizza.com PEACH PIZZA TOPPINGS • 2 oz. gouda, grated • 2 oz. low-moisture mozzarella, grated • 4 oz. fresh mozzarella, torn into quarter-sized pieces • 1 fresh peach • Fresh sage • Pistachios • Oil DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Cut peach in half and remove the pit, then slice into ¼” slices. Note: Frozen peaches can also be defrosted and used. Prepare crispy sage by removing leaves from stem of sage pieces. Heat a small amount of oil in a Dutch oven or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sage leaves to the oil and cook quickly until bubbling of oil slows. Remove leaves and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Rough chop pis tachios. Stretch out pizza dough. Break up mozza rella and gouda cheeses into chunks, and scatter over pizza. Add peaches. Cook for 5 minutes, rotate a half turn, and cook for another 5 minutes or until the crust has browned. Remove pizza from oven and add pistachios and crispy sage, and serve. The United States Angling Confederation and Capital City Lake Murray Country will host the 2022 XVI Black Bass World Championship in Columbia, South Carolina on Lake Murray October 16-22, 2022.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2022: WEIGHT-IN CONCERT 4:00 PM On the last day of fishing and the final weigh-in, join Capital City Lake Murray Country for a Country Music Concert with Cody Webb at Dreher Island State Park. Come hungry and enjoy food trucks and [photovendors!credit, FLW] South Carolina professional angler Anthony Gagliardi is coach to Team USA and calls Lake Murray home. Antony is one of a small hand ful of anglers who have won both a Forrest Wood Cup (2014) as well as the FLW Tour Angler of the Year (2006).
