JAYNE COLLECTION WAS CREATED WITH THE PURPOSE TO INSPIRE WOMEN, MORNING AND NIGHT. The dainty and functional nightwear/loungewear line focuses on bright colors and floral prints. This means Spring is an inspirational time for the brand, ensuring women stay cozy and still feel beautiful. Founder and Designer Pamela Jayne Sassi spent 17 years in the restaurant management and exotic car sales industries. While both were demanding, she didn’t feel like she was contributing to society in the way she was meant to. “When I hit my 30’s, I knew there was no better time to make some changes. I always loved colors, prints and fabrics, but never considered myself a stylish, potential fashion designer. I knew two things: I wanted to make a difference in the world and I was a total homebody. I came up with #3

the idea to create the most beautiful, comfortable, and inspiring sleepwear that the market has ever experienced. After 2 years of creating the designs, sourcing the softest fabrics and the most beautiful prints, finding a factory willing to work with such a newbie in the field, and learning how to build a website and get my first run of product made, I launched in June 2019. Jayne is a family name passed down from my Grandmother who served as a lieutenant nurse in the Navy during WWII, as well as being a mother of 8. Jayne sleepwear is meant to remind us all that we are capable of anything.” Jayne Collection is unique, due to the time Sassi took to research trends in the sleepwear market and focusing on the perfect mix of what is both comfortable and flattering. It needed to be functional, and practical as well — a tall order. “All of the garments are fitted specifically to fit you in all the right places and shaped for flattery. The pants and shorts are made with a soft, thick waistband that can be worn high or low waist. Of course we couldn’t forget the pockets and the pants can also be converted into a capri! All of the beautiful pieces can be mixed and matched with our tanks that are all made of the same buttery soft fabric.” Jayne Collection is a local gem, made in Arizona with every sale giving back to a women’s organization locally as well as globally. Jayne Collection is currently found at JAYNECOLLECTION.com and is working on availability in resorts and boutiques. In the meantime, look for Jayne Collection at local Phoenix Fashion Week events and other amazing local pop ups and women’s events. Free delivery and free returns are a bonus, as Sassi wants to ensure you love the products. “Sleepwear really can be perfect,” she said.

11 Critical Home Inspection Traps to be Aware of Weeks Before Listing Your Scottsdale Home for Sale Scottsdale - According to industry experts, there are over 33 physical problems that will come under scrutiny during a home inspection when your home is for sale. A new report has been prepared which identifies the eleven most common of these problems, and what you should know about them before you list your home for sale. Whether you own an old home or a brand new one, there are a number of things that can fall short of requirements during a home inspection. If not identified and dealt with, any of these 11 items could cost you dearly in terms of repair. That’s why it’s critical that you read this report before you list your home. If you wait until the building inspector flags these issues for you, you will almost certainly experience costly delays in the close of your home sale or, worse, turn prospective buyers away altogether. In most cases, you can make a reasonable pre-inspection yourself if you know

what you’re looking for, and knowing what you’re looking for can help you prevent little problems from growing into costly and unmanageable ones. To help homesellers deal with this issue before their homes are listed, a free report entitled “11 Things You Need to Know to Pass Your Home Inspection” has been compiled which explains the issues involved. To order a FREE Special Report, visit www.CostlyInspectiontraps.com or to hear a brief recorded message about how to order your FREE copy of this report call toll-free 1-855-7578984 and enter 1003. Bodif y ’s Focus on Women The Bodify team often finds that clients are more motivated to stay on track with healthy habits when they are seeing results. struggle with one or two areas on their body and regardless of diet and exercise, the fat lingers, impacting their self-perception.” Being as Bodify is owned by women, there is a deeper understanding of a woman’s distinct goals and needs. Their mission is to ‘spark joy at every opportunity’ in a world that can be judgmental and harsh. “Whether we are texting, emailing, calling, or meeting a person, our intent is to uplift, make a connection, listen to the individual, and discover if what we offer is a solution for their needs. Regardless of their move forward with CoolSculpting, we want anyone who interacts with us to feel better about themselves once the interaction is done. in ages, but all have one thing in common: a desire to shift their bodies and feel confident and great in their skin again. The vast majority of them are doing what’s right, but because of aging, genetics, etc. they cannot get the changes they want and are looking to enlist an expert. “We also have female clients who use CoolSculpting as a jump start to getting on track in terms of diet and exercise. It can be a huge positive motivator. In either case, CoolSculpting, when done by the right provider, produces consistent and predictable results. Because CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared, safe, effective, and gets rid of fat cells for good, our female clients are excited about the technology and Bodify.” The sisters say that personal stories are the best way to showcase their success, sharing a case of an active, athletic and professional woman. Recently, she had the opportunity to stay home and raise her two young kids, and even at a mere two years post pregnancy, she was told by friends and family that she looked great. “At Bodify we know, it doesn’t matter what others see, it’s about how you see yourself. For this client, the departure from her old body to her new body was uncomfortable and unsettling for her. It didn’t matter that she was a mom, that she was lean, and looked great, she wanted it to be different. We love that about CoolSculpting, it meets people where they are at and can get people the results they want. We treated her abdomen and love handles and her results were beautiful. Best yet, she felt like her old self.”

OUR TOWN ARTICLE STACI HAUK | PHOTOGRAPHY LINDSAY JENKS

JENNIFER

Moser JENNIFER MOSER IS A WELL-KNOWN NAME IN THE SCOTTSDALE PUBLIC RELATIONS AND EVENT PLANNING REALM. However, her philanthropic efforts are far reaching, covering an array of largescale organizations. Her passion for giving back to the community in which she has had such great success is rewarding. “I moved to Arizona in 1991. I love the Scottsdale community, not just for the people, but there is something for everyone.” Moser’s career has evolved in her many years working in the media. She began at a television and video publishing company, where they later created a public relations division. “I think a huge milestone in changing the path for me was starting as executive assistant to the president and ending with the role of running the company as CFO and COO, where I created new divisions and put together an excellent team. Eventually I decided to take a leap and start my own business and ended up opening the doors initially with a partner, then taking over the company and expanding it on my own. Shortly after we started we were honored to be chosen to handle the PR and event efforts of launching the Arizona Diamondback’s new uniforms and color change from the purple to Sedona Red, which won us an award for the execution. I continued to work with some of the most wellknown companies, non-profits and athletes. A number of years later I was approached to merge companies with another successful firm and we became Rose+Moser+Allyn in 2010, based in Scottsdale.” Here Moser brought her event expertise with non-profit and for-profit events as well as more mainstream public relations and marketing clientele. “I’ll never forget getting the call to work with Garth Brooks doing an event at Dominick’s Steakhouse for charity. Being a fan, that was pretty cool. We raised over a million dollars in a few hours!”

OUR TOWN (CONTINUED)

Rose+Moser+Allyn finds it’s easiest to explain what they do, through why a client would choose them -- you want to win, need a bigger fan club, have a good idea, need to raise money, deserve publicity and you need the best in the public relations and event business. With such prestigious clients as Steak 44, Ocean 44, Larry Fitzgerald, Mountainside Fitness, and the Arizona Diamondbacks, Rose+Moser+Allyn has settled into a prominent niche in Arizona. Moser is proud she has been able to not only have nonprofit clients, but has had the opportunity to help others by volunteering her time with organizations, advising on boards and participating in or chairing well-known galas in town. She was Chairman of the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Arizona. She chaired their Wish Ball Gala for three years and is co-chairing again this year for the 40th Anniversary. “Being on the Board of Directors allowed me to get a more intimate look at what granting a wish does for the child as well as his/her family. Giving them that hope and excitement was often the highlight and happiness the family needed in the midst of very tough times. When wish children would come visit to talk about their wishes, you could really see what a difference it made in their lives.” Unfortunately, the March event has been postponed, but Moser is looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary this August 21, and continuing to grant wishes. The Phoenix Heart Ball, benefitting the American Heart Association, is a night of hope and festivities that the Scottsdale community embraces each year. Moser serves as the 2020 Chairman and her reasoning for involvement in this charitable organization is personal. “I lost my father when I was 27 to Heart Disease so this

PCH nurses give families strategies for dealing with stress and the unknown

Currently, Dieu is an inpatient nurse specializing in neurology, liver transplant and kidney transplant. She also works in the outpatient setting as one of the lead developers for the Center for Resiliency and Wellbeing An example of the dedicated nursing staff at PCH

(CRW), also known as the ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Program which focuses on working with children in general pediatrics, Homeless Youth Outreach and All About Kids Pediatrics. Going above and beyond for Dieu means daily small acts and interactions with families that can make a big difference and impact in their lives. “When I worked in the inpatient setting, I would develop simple goals with families that they could control. In an uncontrolled environment, I worked closely with these patients and their families to ensure they met their goals while keeping in constant communication. Many times, at the end of my shift, it would make me so happy to see the smiles of accomplishment from the simplest of tasks and I’d revel in just spending time with them, providing hope and light on their really dark days.” Dieu is currently assisting families by teaching integrative techniques to help them learn skills

A PCH nurse brings a smile to a child's face even in tough times

to reduce stress, problem solve and connect to resources. With the arrival of COVID-19, there is a prevalence of dark moments ahead. Dieu says she works tirelessly with families to ensure they have the resources they need, reinforce a skill to build their strengths and continue to set small goals so they can find reasons to smile and have hope. “It brings me so much joy to see a patient using these integrative techniques to help reduce their stress level. I’m also encouraged when the people I work with come up with solutions and ideas for their own families to set goals and work together. The importance of connecting with the community to help them find the resources they need is very rewarding to me. I am so grateful to be a nurse at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. It is a place filled with amazing people who, despite this trying time, continue to give non-stop excellent care to our families.”

EYES ON HAYDEN EYES ON HAYDEN IS A FRESH NEW TAKE ON LUXURY EYECARE AND EYEWEAR. Founder and Optometrist, Dr. Candria Krywko has designed this unique concept as a medical-based concierge practice with emphasis on family eyecare, contact lenses, red eyes, as well as advanced dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration. These services, coupled with fashion forward style, means Dr. Krywko delivers personalized eyecare in a way that her patients feel confident with their overall experience. “What makes Eyes on Hayden especially unique is the ‘Eye Love’ culture we’ve created. Glasses are presented in a beautifully wrapped giftbag with a lens kit for the proper care of your glasses, we have an exquisitely crafted succulent wall for selfies with your new glasses, and an ‘Eye Club’ is offered for those who wish to elevate their eyecare experience,” Dr. Krywko said. Dr. Krywko shares that her passion for eyecare and fashion stem back to childhood. She recalls wanting glasses from a young age and when she obtained her first pair, she realized it not only felt great to see better, but she could have fun changing her look. “Optometry offered me the beautiful complement of combining healthcare and fashion. My passion for eyecare grows daily, with every day, is an opportunity to share that passion with my patients. I was born to be an eye doctor!” Dr. Krywko puts the “fun in fundus” (a medical term for the retina) and promotes excitement about eye health by offering tips and tricks to help one’s eyes last a lifetime. Check Eyes on Hayden out on Facebook or Instagram @dr.krywko or join the ‘Eye Club’ for $20.20/month. Membership includes: annual comprehensive eye exam, 20% off all eye care services, extended peripheral vision testing, 20% off eyewear and more.

GORJANA SHARES TIMELESS DESIGNS FOR MOTHER’S DAY GORJANA REIDEL AND HER HUSBAND JASON GRIFFIN CREATED GORJANA TO BRING PEOPLE BEAUTIFUL, TIMELESS JEWELRY MADE WITH HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AT A PRICE POINT THAT’S ATTAINABLE. “Growing up in Serbia, it was standard to have handmade things and those skills were

passed down to me. When I was 26, I came up with the idea to create a jewelry collection at an accessible price point that had the look and feel of high end jewelry with the help of my husband, Jason. We combined our strengths to build the company, hitting the road with samples in tow and driving a collective 50,000 miles to sell the initial collection. Orders were fulfilled from our apartment floor and we worked the trade show circuit as a team of two,” Reidel recalls.

With hard work and raw talent, came success — gorjana has grown from an idea into a multi-million dollar business. Sixteen years later, gorjana jewelry can be found in more than 1,000 retailers nationwide, not including their own retail locations. After opening the first brick-and-mortar location in Laguna Beach in 2016, a rapid retail expansion on both coasts ensued, including the 2019 built location in Scottsdale. “I have a strong connection to Scottsdale as I attended high school here and my family has deep roots in the city’s Serbian community. Jason and I also attended ASU where we met while studying marketing.” Aside from a personal connection, gorjana’s effortless, minimalist, dainty and ‘mix, match and layer looks’ mirror the tastes of the Scottsdale fashion scene and often emulate the styles of Laguna Beach, where Arizonians frequently visit. “Many of the designs are versatile and feature adjustable clasps and sliding beads, which allows the wearer to make each piece her own,” Reidel said. This makes the pieces unique for any collection.

COLON HYDROTHERAPY IS CLEANSING OF THE LARGE INTESTINES WITH WARM FILTERED WATER. Results range from relief of constipation and bloating, to weight loss and improved energy. Clean Colonic is locally owned and operated, and follows the protocol and session recommendation as guided by the manufacture of the Class 2 medical device LIBBE. LIBBE (lower intestine bottom bowel evacuation) is a high end class 2 medical device that is an open system with a built in charcoal water filter and a UV light that controls water temperature and flow.

“I WAS SWOLLEN IN MY ABDOMINAL AREA AFTER I ATE. I TRIED A COLONIC AND AFTER 5 SESSIONS I HAVE HAD NO MORE BLOATING.” “I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT AND FELT STUCK . AFTER 1 COLONIC I LOST 5 POUNDS AND AFTER A SERIES THE WEIGHT KEPT DROPPING.”

“You can carry anywhere between 5-25lbs or more of waste in the large intestines. Removing that helps free up the body giving you a sense of being “clean” once it is removed. A good candidate is someone who may have struggled getting to the bottom of their issues, those with gastrointestinal issues, those looking to kick start their weight loss, or people who want to improve their over all health,” said Owner Carolyn Berry. Berry left her prestigious corporate job to prepare for business ownership. Colonics had healed her of many internal and physical issues, and she felt it was the perfect fit; to help people and bring awareness to the industry of colon hydrotherapy. “I was creating a self help program to share with others and wound up on this path instead. My health was poor, and colon hydrotherapy was so beneficial...it even helped me avoid surgery. After 7 sessions I had no more problems with my menstrual cycle, my back stopped hurting and I had eliminated my food allergies. From this sprung Clean Colonic. I never thought I’d be helping people in this way, but now I am healing them from the inside out!” Berry adds that privacy, modesty, comfortability and cleanliness of the session is Clean Colonic’s focus.
