DO YOU HAVE
MGD?
IF your eyes get red, seem to water excessively, feel scratchy or your vision fluctuates you probably do!
Most people diagnosed with Dry Eye actually have symptoms caused by MGD. Meibomain gland dysfunction is one of the underlying causes of dry eye. The tear glands in the eyelids become blocked and the surface of the eye is left exposed to the dry Colorado air.
Let me help you work toward your retirement dreams!
Dr Hulme Dry Eye Center treats MGD with the LipiFlow device that utilizes Thermal Pulsation to direct gentle heat and massage to remove blockages from the meibomian glands. The treatment is designed to restore the natural oil flow to the tear film that covers the eye’s surface. 290 E 25th Street | Loveland, CO 80538

THOMPSON RIVER PEDIATRICS IS CELEBRATING THEIR 5TH YEAR IN JOHNSTOWN THIS JANUARY, AND RECENTLY MOVED DOWN THE STREET INTO A BRAND-NEW BUILDING TO EXPAND THE PRACTICE TO THOMPSON RIVER PEDIATRICS COLLABORATIVE CARE CENTER. The office is owned and operated by two mothers with their motto being, “caring for children like we would our own.” It is important to them that all their employees share that vision and bring a great deal of empathy for patients and parents. Owners, Amber Griffin and Dr. Ashlea Franques became best friends as neighbors. In addition to being great friends, Amber discovered that Ashlea is the best pediatrician she had ever taken her children to, and the duo bonded over their passion and love towards caring for children. Griffin runs the business side of the office as owner and CEO. She graduated from Boise State University and is the mother of four. Dr. Franques is a board certified pediatrician by the American Board of Pediatrics, Fellow of the Academy of Pediatrics and graduated with her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is the mother of one. The office has one other pediatrician, Dr. Antonia Sigl, who graduated at the top of her class from the medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern, and two highly trained pediatric nurse practitioners. The new office is also integrating more services such as behavioral health, a psychologist for testing, pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy. While partners and staff have a special place in their hearts for kids who are on the autism spectrum, and they have also created an atmosphere in their office that mirrors their considerations. The colors of their office are muted and warm specifically to ensure that children on the spectrum do not get sensory overload. “We wanted our office to be friendly towards kids on the spectrum as well as all kids. We created a space where kids feel safe and not bombarded with crazy bright colors, toys and “kids” music. Everything we did in our office is meant to be classy, Colorado rustic & most importantly, relaxing. We find that the best way to do that is to treat children with compassion and respect. CONTINUED >

about promoting health and wellness in all children in the community by offering a multitude of options, whether a child has an athletic background, or not. After signing up for a membership, all youth members age 12-16 undergo a “junior orientation,” which is specially designed to give detailed instruction on all pertinent equipment to ensure both direction and safety for their youth members. Our children are important to us, and they are important to Club Loveland. Older children can run, play and socialize while enjoying the Kids Club privileges. Reservations can also be made for children as young as six weeks at the care center nursery where your babies can nap in cozy cribs, or play with age appropriate toys on the clean, padded floors.
