Heart-healthy cooking doesn’t have to be bland either. Here’s a recipe for a romantic dinner from the American Heart Association.

lemon-garlic salmon foil pack I n g r e d i e n ts + 1 lb new potatoes (halved, thinly sliced) + 2 teaspoons garlic + 1 lb green beans + 2 Tbsp canola oil + 1/4 teaspoon salt + 1/4 teaspoon pepper + 4 skinless salmon fillets + 2 lemons, sliced into wheels Lemon-garlic salmon pack

D i r e ct i o n s Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Make 4 sheets of aluminum foil about 30 inches long. Fold the foil in half widthwise.

01 Cut potato into half lengthwise. Thinly cut each half into ⅛-inch slices and place into a heatproof container. Stir in the minced garlic, cover, and cook the potatoes in the microwave until halfway tender, around 90 seconds to 3 minutes. Transfer mixture to a bowl, along with green beans, oil, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.

02 Divide potato mixture into 4 equal portions into the center of each foil square. Top each with salmon fillet. Sprinkle garlic powder and top with 2 lemon wheels.

03 Securely seal the top and sides of each foil packet and place onto a large baking sheet. Cook until salmon is cooked, about 20 minutes.

A University of Oklahoma medical school graduate, Dr. Hansen has provided aesthetic and surgical treatments for the face and neck of clients throughout Oklahoma and the United States. She went on to complete her residency at both the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. “I care about self issue and self-esteem of both sexes, but it seems that victims of domestic violence suffer the most from that issue.”

Dr. Hansen was honored with the National Community Service Award for Face to Face in 1995. She also earned the 1998 Spirit of Women Award and in 1999, was selected by Vanity Fair as one of America’s 200 most-influential women.

“Right after I discovered coffee, I went snow skiing and saw a veteran-owned coffee company,” Watts said. “They hire veterans and I love veterans. I’m a civilian, but I work at the Oklahoma City VA and so I’m around them and I admire them.”

The two men threw around the idea of starting a coffee franchise and even looked into multi-level marketing. Watts wanted a company that strengthened the bond of brotherhood among veterans.
