INTERIORS, WHERE EACH KNOWLEDGEABLE DESIGNER, WITH THEIR VARIED BACKGROUNDS, BRINGS SOMETHING UNIQUE TO THE TABLE. Each designer, expressing the one aspect about the design studio that sets them apart, is the level of unique service they provide to their clients. Renee McBride has a well-rounded background in interior design, having 15 years of on the job experience. Specializing in window treatments, both hard and soft, where she feels comfortable in helping her clients with anything that they need for their windows. “We’re about solving a problem, that’s what interior design is all about. The job is about solving your problem.” If you don’t know where to start, or you have a room you don’t know what to do with, Renee says you’re only a conversation away from figuring out a solution for your space. The goal is to figure out where you want to put your money and then create a plan that fits both your budget and your style. Ultimately making the space work for your lifestyle and your family’s needs. Gordon Robinson ASID-NCIDQ, began his career as an interior designer over thirty years ago. He graduated from Michigan State in June of 1986 with a Bachelors in Design, and would later take and pass the rigorous exam and receive his NCIDQ. After graduation, Gordan began an internship for the design company, Pierson Interiors. About six months into his new position, he learned of an opportunity at Hudson’s. He found a rare moment in his jam packed 12-hour day to call and schedule an interview. The interview was scheduled for

GETTING ORGANIZED WITH CLOSET CONNECTIONS
CHRISTINE WURM STARTED HER OWN BUSINESS, CLOSET CONNECTIONS THIRTY YEARS AGO, AND HAS EVOLVED QUITE A BIT OVER THE YEARS. She works alongside Kelly Osten, who is the designer for Closet Connections. Kelly's background is in supply chain management, where her focus was on finding the best solution for the problem. Their main goal is to create great spaces for people to help them simplify their lives in a lot of different ways. Organizing your space is a smart investment because you will save time and money. Christine mentioned that people can spend 20-60 minutes a day because they can't find stuff. With life being so busy, the least amount of time that we can spend looking for things, the lower our stress and anxiety will be. 18

You’ll find the boutiques of storied, high-end brands lining the Via Dei Condotti, a mix of highend and more accessible brands on the lengthy Via Del Corso, and La Rinascente, an ultraluxe department store on the Piazza Duomo. And you can’t mention Rome without mentioning food. Book early for the top choices that are world-renowned with good reason, like Pierluigi, the elegant trattoria in the city center; Per Me, a seafood paradise in Centro Storico; and the understated Il Pagliaccio, in Campo de’ Fiori, with its understated decor and unorthodox twists on traditional Italian dishes. For a more casual yet just-as-tasty meal, head to Roscioli, a deli-restaurant also in Campo de’ Fiori, or try the revelatory pizzas at Pizzarium (in Rome’s Monti Neighborhood), where the dough-making process is downright obsessive, and the results are sublime. For more information on Rome or other destinations, contact Beth Jaskolski at Travel World, 19251 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, 313-882-8190, beth@travelworld.bz or find them on the worldwide web at www.travelworldgp.com.
