SERIOUS I.T. SECURITY FOR SERIOUS CUSTOMERS. Need to make sure you are stepped up to the cyber age? Attacks against small and medium businesses are up 400%+ from last year because attackers know that you are the weak link. Hackers know that you are too busy running your business to effectively manage its security, and that most small IT shops are just installing antivirus, giving you a firewall, and hoping for the best. A good back up doesn’t help you when you are breached and your company data is sold on the darkweb.
Get Real Security by a real security focused company. We know what the Hackers are doing and how they do it, and can train you and your users to be aware.

The winding down of the year always brings about a time of reflection for us— remembering everything we’ve done or accomplished in months past; looking back on turkey disaster stories, mornings watching the Thanksgiving Day parade or afternoons spent curled up on the couch after one too many pieces of pie; thinking of the people, experiences and things we’ve been blessed with in the last year. As we press pause on the hustle and bustle of life putting together a monthly magazine, we’re able to look back on the past year and, most meaningfully, the stories from all of you that have made what we do possible. We also take this chance to think of those less fortunate and encourage you to

UT Football Celebrates a Monumental New Tradition THOUSANDS OF UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS FOOTBALL FANS CELEBRATE THE BRAND-NEW TAILGATING TRADITION ON BEVO BOULEVARD
THE REVERENT SPIRIT OF UT FOOTBALL SEASON CARRIES ON WITH A NEW TRADITION NAMED AFTER THE MASCOT. Bevo Boulevard brings together thousands of UT football fans coming together to celebrate a brand-new tailgating pre-game tradition, which includes a parade, popular food trucks, introduction of the football players, the Longhorn Band, Texas Cheer and Pom and Hook ‘Em for the pageantry of Texas-sized events celebrating game day on the forty acres. The pre-game event is located on the west exterior of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and expands from San Jacinto Boulevard from 20th Street to the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center and begins five hours before the game starts. “The fan experience is critical to the success of our mission to fill every seat every game at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium and create an atmosphere that helps our coaches and student-athletes win games,” Drew Martin, executive senior associate athletics director for external affairs, told TexasSports.com. “I am excited that we are able to bring a central, public tailgate for all Longhorns fans directly adjacent to the stadium, and I am confident fans will be excited to return week after week to put their full energy behind the burnt orange and white.” The undeniable, tried-and-true support of the UT football community in Austin is what makes the UT football program one of the greatest legacies in the country and will continue to create and celebrate memorable traditions for years to come.

H O W I T W O R K S : During 45 minute sessions in our salt room, we turn down the lights to a dim glow, play tranquil music, and actively pump salt into the air via a machine called a Halogenerator. Not only are you surrounded by more salt than you've ever seen in one place, but you are both breathing in micronized salt particles as well as being coated by these fine granules. The mechanism behind everything we do is an osmotic transfer, salt pulling water to it. This process can help to alleviate the symptoms of many respiratory issues along with a few skin conditions. Not only that, but the salt cave is surprisingly relaxing! Many visitors describe having the same euphoric sense they experience after leaving a massage.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, WHEN CHOOSING TO GIVE YOUR HOME AN UPLIFT, THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN
HIRING
AN
INTERIOR “DESIGNER” AND AN INTERIOR “DECORATOR” CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE OUTCOME OF YOUR HOME PROJECT. Jessica Love, the owner of Urbane Design, understands that true quality of interior design equals the integrity she and her team put into each project by not only offering her extensive, unique knowledge of design but also implementing the safest methods for your home. Jessica explains that interior design is the art and science of understanding people’s behavior to create functional spaces within a home, and decoration is the furnishing of a space with fashionable or aesthetic things. She performs all new construction projects and full remodels of residential homes, which include furnishing the home with functional, aesthetic pieces. Jessica says that integrity to her means doing the right thing when no one is watching and carries this into every project she undertakes for each one of her trusting clients. A fun fact about Jessica is that she attended Sam Houston University and has a degree in interior design. She started her business exactly a day after she graduated in August 2004, and she has dedicated her time and skills to growing it into the successful business it is today. Jessica has her own nonprofit called Design Changes Lives where she connects interior

children in order to design their bedrooms to build their self-confidence. She is also involved in many other charities and fundraisers that she is passionate about. Jessica says she relies upon her devoted and talented team, which includes her assistant, Marycat, who has been by her side for four years, as well as her administrator and mentors. The table setting design in the photos displays an eclectic style with a Texas flair with the oversized chunky wood table, a cowhide from Brazil under the table, the four chairs originating from Spain and antlers to add a Texas feel. She believes curating items that are meaningful to decorate with creates the most inviting space.

TABLE SETTING TIPS TIP NUMBER ONE Have a table that is the correct height for the intended duration of time and occasion for your guests. For instance, a bar height table is meant for you to come together to visit and have a cocktail or appetizer for a short period of time, which caters to the comfort of your guests. TIP NUMBER TWO Jessica recommends having a gorgeous floral or centerpiece on the table. If you choose a large centerpiece on a large dining room table, you can move the centerpiece to the buffet when dining with friends to add more space. TIP NUMBER THREE Always use real florals! This will showcase a natural look and feel in your home as well as add the natural fragrance of them, which your guests will appreciate. TIP NUMBER FOUR Have functional items on your table and exclude all the “fluff.” Consider the guests you are entertaining. If children will be joining, do not use your best china! Consider whether the occasion is formal or more casual, drinking wine or eating food and create a space accordingly. Your guests will appreciate the convenience and consideration while dining. 20

COZY up your HOME TAKE A CUE FROM THE SCANDINAVIAN CONCEPT OF HYGGE AND WELCOME THE TRANSITION OF SUMMER TO AUTUMN WITH A RELAXING REFRESH
24
Austin Life | November 2019
PUMPKIN SPICE, APPLE CINNAMON AND A HOT CUP OF COCOA. Fall is all about getting warm and comfy as a chill hits the air—preparing yourself for winter, and cherishing those final moments of summer. As the nights grow longer, we’re embracing the Scandinavian secret of hygge by creating a space that emphasizes simple pleasures and finding joy in everyday moments—even when the weather is dreary. A burnt orange adirondack rug and woodland pillow set a ‘cozy cabin’ mood. Wicker baskets filled with apples and gourds are a reminder of the importance of the harvest, and a fun way to help teach young kids about the changing of the seasons. During this transitional time, light wood, fluffy blankets and scented candles beckon crisp autumn evenings, while a vase of fresh flowers—particularly mums—are an ode to the bright, sunny days we’re not quite ready to give up yet.
