brate. There is something for everyone happening in our area. Check out the calendar for September as well as future months’ issues so you won’t miss the festivals, markets and events that make our community such a unique and special place to call home. This issue celebrates local boutiques, restaurants and businesses! We have to support our local businesses so that Cypress will continue to thrive. It’s fantastic that Cypress is now on the list of Houston’s “places to live and check out” and that we are recognized as a vibrant community we have become. But it is so imperative that we remember the small businesses that made Cy-Fair what it is today. I can’t say it enough! #ShopLocal! Ladies—Our partners Haute Suburban Mess and Anything Bling have you in mind when they go to market and choose what to offer in their stores. Unlike major store brands, they are laser-focused on what will make you feel and look stylish. It’s like having your own personal stylist! Of course, style doesn’t always mean clothes. Local Table opened in June and offers amazing, fresh, and yes, stylish dishes Cypress residents are raving about. If you haven’t tried Local Table, you are missing out!

AS SUMMER FASHION FADES INTO FALL, LOCAL BOUTIQUES ARE READYING THEIR SHOWROOMS WITH THE LATEST STYLES OF THE SEASON. This month we’re featuring fashionable designs from Anything Bling Boutique and Haute Suburban Mess, A Merle Norman Boutique. The shops carry locally inspired clothing selections aimed at women of all ages, from the young fashionista to the mature woman who wants to look and feel stylish. “We focus on real women who want to be trendy without looking like they share their daughter’s clothes,” says Angee Ruffino, owner of Haute Suburban Mess. The clothing is uniquely selected for mature women who Angee says have “outgrown their crop tops.” The shop also carries Merle Norman skincare and cosmetics, making it a one-stop shop for women looking to feel beautiful in their own skin and clothes. “We want women to feel unique and love what they’re wearing,” she says. Styles also on display this month come from the Anything Bling Boutique, a place where local mothers and daughters can shop together from a uniquely curated collection of cocktail dresses, crop tops, sportswear and more. “Anything Bling has a wide range of trendy and sophisticated clothing and accessories,” Missy Wooten says. This season’s latest styles were photographed on location at A Place for Peanut, a nonprofit horse rescue stable in Cypress.
