Field of Honor Green Valley Lifestyle Magazine was honored to be a media partner covering the Field of Honor. The Rotary Club of Green Valley was proud to have brought its inaugural Field of Honor flag display to Henderson and Clark County over Memorial Day weekend of 2018. Ain’t yo Tita’s Fried Chicken INGREDIENTS + 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into tenders + 2 cups buttermilk + Texas Pete hot sauce, to taste + Salt and pepper, to taste WHEN WE HEAR THE WORDS "REFINED FOOD," WE INSTINCTIVELY HAVE A CLEAR PICTURE IN OUR HEADS. A highend eatery, serving delicate caviar and hearty truffles that are light on the stomach but certainly not on the wallet—not to mention it can sometimes be months before such a spot will even have an opening for a reservation. If, like us, you have this sort of aversion to debonaire delicacies because of inaccessibility and overpricing, then look no further than Truffles N Bacon Café. While its name may sound a bit odd, I can personally give a testament to how spectacular the food is and how affordable the prices are. However, while the prices are a bargain, the food quality never compromises. The owner, Magnolia Magat, and the head chef, Jackie Lim, had one particular philos-

HOMEMADE HOPS-INFUSED DOG SHAMPOO Perfect for a fresh, deep clean scented with hops. • 1 pint gentle natural dishwashing soap • 1 pint hop water • 1 pint apple cider vinegar • 3/4 cups hops • 4 ounces glycerin • 1 tablespoon baking soda 1. Infuse water and hops in a jar for at least an hour. 2. Mix all of the ingredients together and put in a bottle. 3. Grab your pup and suds up. Rinse thoroughly. Voilà!

• 1 cup baking soda • 1 cup cornstarch • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar powder • 5 drops of your favorite essential oil *peppermint and lavender are known to repel fleas* • Jar/container (one with a shaker lid) 1. Combine the baking soda, cornstarch, apple cider vinegar and essential oil; stir well. 2. Place in a container with a tight lid and shaker top. 3.
