Celebrating Connection, Community, and the Women Who Inspire Us
There’s just something incredible about what happens when women come together. Whether it’s cheering each other on, sharing advice over coffee, or showing up with support when it’s needed most—there’s a kind of magic in those connections. And that’s what this issue is all about.

Our May Women’s Issue is a celebration of a few of the women who make Gilbert such a vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place to be. This community is full of women who are building big dreams, lifting others up along the way, and making a lasting impact just by being themselves. From neighborhood events and pop-ups to casual catch-ups and community groups, we’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when women support women.
As we put this issue together, we kept coming back to one word: connection. The kind that happens when stories are shared, common ground is found, and encouragement flows freely. That sense of community is what drives us—and what we hope shines through in every page. One connection that makes our magazine shine each month is the relationship between the ladies of Giblert City Lifestyle, publisher and editor. "Sometimes people ask if Kylie is our daughter. For those that question, we always answer. "Yes" Kylie is our work daughter." Kylie entered our world as our bio-daughter was heading off to Spokane to start her own journey. Kylie not only filled a work void left by our Kenzie, but a spot in a hearts that was missing our girl. She keeps us younger, grounded, and laughing as we honor the voices and people of Gilbert. We cherish this connection and the connections we have with you our readers.
We’ve rounded up a collection of stories and features that reflect that energy— filled with heart, creativity, and a whole lot of grit. You’ll meet women who are leading with passion, challenging the norm, and inspiring others just by doing what they love. This issue is a reminder that we’re all part of something bigger. Whether you’re growing a business, raising a family, reinventing yourself, or simply figuring things out as you go—there’s room for you here. There’s inspiration in every season and strength in every story.
Thank you for continuing to be part of this journey with us—and for making this community so full of life, love, and connection.

The New Girl Next Door
EAST VALLEY GIRL SYDNEE FALKNER TALKS
STYLE, STARDOM, AND STAYING GROUNDED

ARTICLE BY KYLIE STRAWN-BADGER
Sydnee Falkner is quickly becoming a household name as the breakout star of Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret, and yet, what’s most captivating about her isn’t just the screen time—it’s her undeniable charm, down-to-earth nature, and refreshing authenticity. Dubbed “the new girl next door,” Sydnee effortlessly blends glamor with grit, beauty with backbone, and ambition with humility. Her rise to fame might look like it happened overnight, but Sydnee’s story is rooted in hard work, resilience, and an unshakable commitment to staying true to herself.
“Being on the show really showed me that I do not have to dim my light or play small anymore. It’s ok for me to take up space and shine brightly in this world.”
Known for her natural beauty, Sydnee radiates confidence without ever appearing overly curated. Her fitness background—ranging from yoga to competitive bikini bodybuilding—has given her not only physical strength but also mental discipline, both of which shine through on and off camera. Her entrepreneurial venture, Cake Co. Fitness, empowers women to step into their strength through personalized programs, showcasing Sydnee’s dedication to helping others while building her personal brand with authenticity. Whether she’s training clients or filming a scene, there’s a grounded energy she carries that reminds us she’s more than just a reality TV contestant—she’s a force in motion.
As her platform grows, so does her evolving brand. From working oil rigs in Alaska to building a following in the fitness and wellness space, Sydnee has never been afraid to pivot, adapt, and

push boundaries. What sets her apart in today’s influencer-saturated world is her transparency—she’s not afraid to share the hard parts of her journey, making her someone people not only admire but trust. Her participation in Million Dollar Secret adds another layer to her brand: one of calculated risk-taking, personal growth, and strategic success.
When it comes to style, Sydnee’s fashion sense mirrors her personality—confident, feminine, and effortlessly cool. She gravitates toward looks that feel natural yet polished, often blending sporty staples with elevated pieces that highlight her background in fitness while embracing her flair for sophistication. Think clean silhouettes, earth tones, and pieces that transition easily from gym to event. It’s less about chasing trends and more about choosing what feels aligned with her energy and values.
What keeps Sydnee grounded? Her circle of close friends, a deep connection to her Alaskan roots, and a lifestyle built on balance. Hiking, mindfulness practices, and quality time away from the spotlight give her the perspective she needs to navigate fame with clarity and purpose. As she continues to evolve both on-screen and off, Sydnee Falkner isn’t just a star to watch—she’s a reminder that true beauty begins with knowing who you are and daring to stay that way.

The Wellness Trinity
Three Gilbert businesses teaming up to help you reclaim your natural vitality
Is your body staging a hormonal rebellion? Whether you’re dealing with perimenopause fog, postpartum chaos, or hot flashes, there’s a wellness trinity in Gilbert helping women reclaim their hormonal harmony.
THE FOUNDATION: DISCOVER STRENGTH - THE HORMONE BALANCER
“Each of our hormones are like an instrument in an orchestra,” explains Melanie Barnes, owner of Discover Strength. “Strength training is like a conductor, bringing them together to work in harmony.”
This harmony isn’t just metaphorical. Barnes notes that strength training positively impacts everything from growth hormone to testosterone balance.
“One of the most common misconceptions about women and strength training is that women will ‘bulk up’ too much,” Barnes shares. “It is because of hormones that this simply is not the case! Testosterone is the key hormone involved in building muscle mass and although women do have testosterone, it is at much lower levels than males.”
The best part? You don’t need to live at the gym. “Research shows that as little as 60 mins of medium to high intensity strength training is all you need to gain the benefits,” says Barnes. “Our sessions are 30 mins, twice per week.”

PERSPIRE
WELLNESS STUDIO, DISCOVER STRENGTH
THE AMPLIFIER: PERSPIRE SAUNA STUDIOTHE CELLULAR ENERGIZER
With your hormonal orchestra now conducted through strength training, it’s time to amplify those benefits at Perspire Sauna Studio, where red light therapy (RLT) works its magic on a cellular level.
“RLT is a science-backed therapeutic modality that increases blood flow, improves collagen production, reduces inflammation, and supports workout recovery,” explains Staci Herdt, owner of Perspire.
For women in hormonal transitions, the benefits can be particularly noticeable in sleep quality. “There is some emerging evidence to suggest that it can promote melatonin production, which is important for sleep regulation. We love pairing it with heat therapy at PSS, which can also promote relaxation and prepare your body and mind for sleep. With sleep being an important player in hormone health, using evidence-based strategies to help you prioritize sleep is key.”

The bonus? It enhances your strength training results. “Adding RLT to a strength training program can help support muscle recovery by increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skeletal muscles - getting you ready for your next workout faster.”
THE ACCELERATOR:
SKINFINITY MED SPATHE NUTRIENT OPTIMIZER
The wellness trinity is completed at Skinfinity Med Spa, where Shannon Vail’s team offers both IV therapies and vitamin injections that deliver hormonal support directly to your bloodstream.
“Our wellness IVs and injections provide the building blocks your body needs to create and balance hormones

naturally,” says Vail. “When you’re nutritionally depleted—which often happens during hormonal shifts—your body simply can’t produce the hormones it needs in the right amounts.”
Skinfinity’s approach is comprehensive, offering weight management programs designed around women’s hormonal needs. “Weight and hormones have a bidirectional relationship,” Vail explains. “Hormone imbalances can lead to weight gain, and excess weight can further disrupt hormones.”
THE SYNERGY EFFECT
The magic happens when women incorporate all three elements into their wellness routine. Barnes from Discover Strength notes, “When our clients combine strength training with therapies like red light and IV nutrition, they often report feeling better faster than with any single approach.”
Whether you’re 25 or 65, this hormonal reset approach offers a science-backed, natural pathway to feeling vibrant again. Your hormone orchestra is ready to play in perfect harmony!

WOMEN OF GILBERT

CELEBRATING THE BOLD, COMPASSIONATE, AND COMMUNITY-DRIVEN WOMEN WHO ARE SHAPING GILBERT THROUGH SERVICE, LEADERSHIP, CREATIVITY, AND A DEEP COMMITMENT TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
We’re bubbling with excitement to kick off a heartwarming new tradition—our Women of Gilbert spotlight! When we asked who deserved recognition, nominations poured in from adoring fans, proud friends, grateful coworkers, and even a few smitten hubbies! Though we could only showcase nine fabulous ladies (those pesky page limits!), each nominee captured our hearts. These women are the sunshine of our community—nurturing businesses, lifting up our youth, and creating cozy spaces where everyone belongs. Their bright spirits and genuine love for Gilbert shine through in everything they do!
"No woman should walk her journey alone— community, connection, and encouragement can transform both your life and your business.” - Heather
Heather Ferrari is fueled by a passion for genuine connection. Since moving to Gilbert in 2014, she’s made it her mission to bring women together in meaningful, authentic ways. Her first introduction to the community came through homeschooling—where Gilbert became the classroom, neighbors became classmates, and friendships flourished. That experience revealed the heart of Gilbert: a town built on people, support, and shared journeys.
Heather is the founder of The Women 360, a unique networking group designed to be more than just professional connections—it’s a space where women feel seen, known, and truly valued. Women show up just as they are, and leave with a sisterhood that rallies behind both their personal and professional growth. It’s a space for real relationships, where encouragement fuels success.
Her deepest passion lies in helping women who feel alone on their entrepreneurial path find community, confidence, and clarity. Whether it’s through The Women 360 or a simple word of encouragement, Heather believes no one should walk their journey alone.
Her favorite local spot? Humble Bistro, especially for their handmade lasagna. And her guiding inspiration? The Bible—a reminder of her mission to walk beside others and speak life wherever she goes.

Her background in Child Protective Services and school-based prevention programs shaped her deep commitment to helping families thrive.
Amanda’s “jumping-in” moment came when One Small Step moved into its Gilbert location in 2019. Since then, she’s been inspired by the town’s generosity, collaboration, and strong sense of community.
She’s also a proud mom to graduating triplets and loves supporting local businesses that give back. Her guiding quote? “To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world.”
“Motherhood changed everything—I wanted a joyful, connected journey, and now I help other moms find theirs too.” - Amy
Amy J. McConnell

Amy J. McConnell is on a mission to make motherhood more joyful, connected, and community-driven. Through her platform, East Valley Moms, Amy shares helpful hacks, local resources, and encouragement for fellow moms navigating the early years of parenting. As a mom to Maverick—who starts kindergarten in fall 2025—Amy admits she’ll always choose an art project over building a train set, and swears by her go-to parenting tip: it’s easier to parent outside than inside four walls.
Motherhood reignited Amy’s love for the Gilbert community. While searching for her own “village,” she realized how many wonderful but hidden resources exist for moms and wanted to help others find them more easily. When her son was just four months old, she had the chance to purchase East Valley Moms— originally a hobby blog—and turn it into a purpose-driven business that combines her media background with her passion for family and connection.
Her favorite local gem? Carl’s Damaged Animals, a quirky, heartfelt animal sanctuary tucked away in Gilbert. A perfect day starts with coffee, feeding the animals at Carl’s, and strolling through the nearby Riparian Preserve with her son by her side.

CRAFTED WITH SPARKLE

From handmade earrings to heirlooms, Myranda's creating jewelry—and a legacy—with meaning and magic.
ARTICLE BY KYLIE STRAWN-BADGER
PHOTOGRAPHY BY ALYSSA RYAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Myranda North Molina was just 5 years old when she began making jewelry and sold her first piece of jewelry at age 12—a pair of silver and vintage bead earrings paired with a gold chain. That moment, seemingly small at the time, planted the seed for what would grow into a lifelong love affair with design, craftsmanship, and the stories jewelry tells.

“I’m not just designing jewelry—I’m creating moments, building trust, and making sure every client feels seen and celebrated.”
Raised in the Valley, Myranda’s childhood wasn’t always easy. But some of her brightest memories were spent in her grandmother’s home, sifting through costume jewelry and learning how to make her own pieces. “When I went to live with my grandmother, it was a great escape to make something beautiful,” she shares. “Jewelry gave me a way to always create sunshine.” That sense of creativity—and the joy it sparked—stayed with her.
Over the next two decades, Myranda built a name for herself in the jewelry industry, working in every facet of the business—from estate buying to heirloom recreations and custom bridal design. She gained a reputation not only for her impeccable eye and attention to detail but also for the warmth and
compassion she brought to every interaction. For Myranda, jewelry was never just about the piece—it was about the person behind it.
In December 2024, she opened Myranda Fine Jewelry, a boutique of her own in Chandler. “After I jumped off the cliff and realized I didn’t have a parachute, I knew if I’m going to do it, it’s got to be done right,” she says. The decision to go out on her own was bold—and one made even more powerful by the fact that she was stepping into a leadership role in an industry still largely dominated by men.
“There are a lot of men at the top of this business,” she says. “And while I’ve learned a lot from them, I knew it was time for something different—something that reflects my heart, my style, and my voice.”

Myranda has long stood out, not just because she’s a woman in a male-driven industry, but because of how she leads. Her approach is grounded in connection and care. She listens, she mentors, she gives back. Her leadership is collaborative and creative. She’s not just designing jewelry—she’s building relationships and empowering others along the way.
She’s quick to credit the team of women who have stood beside her through every chapter of her journey. “I’m so proud of my team. We’ve built this together,” she says. And that sense of collaboration and support is infused into every part of her boutique.
Opening the store was about more than selling jewelry—it was about creating an experience. Inspired by a magical trip to Paris with her best friend, Myranda and that same dear friend worked hand-in-hand to bring their shared vision to life in Chandler, creating a space that captures the intimate charm of a Parisian boutique, with heartfelt touches like sparkling carpet and soft wallpaper that welcome every visitor. “I wanted people to walk in and feel transported,” Myranda says. “Not to a store, but to an experience.”
Her boutique offers engagement rings, anniversary bands, wedding jewelry, heirloom recreations, estate buying, and vintage finds—all created or sourced with purpose. Each piece comes with a certified appraisal and a lifetime guarantee, a reflection of the trust she builds with her clients.
But what truly Sets Myranda and her team apart is how deeply they care. Whether they are helping a woman sell her ring during a
“After I jumped off the cliff and realized I didn’t have a parachute when I decided to open my store, I thought if I’m going to do it, it’s got to be done right,”

difficult chapter or designing a custom piece to celebrate love, they bring empathy and presence to every interaction. “I don’t want to take your buy and make a buck,” she says. “I want to know the situation and how I can help.”
That philosophy extends well beyond her showroom. Since opening, Myranda has donated to over 50 nonprofits and charities near and far.
She also continues to embrace her own sense of style—equal parts vintage, feminine, and bold. “My favorite color is sparkle,” she laughs. “Because it has every color
mixed in one. There’s no way that sparkle doesn’t leave you beaming with happiness.”
From the showroom to the community, Myranda North Molina brings warmth, elegance, and strength to everything she touches. In a world where jewelry often symbolizes life’s most important moments, she reminds us that the most valuable thing of all is connection. “Jewelry is just a part of it,” she says. “The relationships are what mean the most.”
And in an industry filled with tradition, Myranda is creating space for something new—where sparkle isn’t just worn, it’s lived.

From smoothie bowls to skincare routines and “miracle” supplements, social media has rapidly evolved into the go-to resource for all things wellness. Platforms once built for connection and entertainment are now serving as digital health hubs—filled with influencers, coaches, and users sharing advice on how to feel better, live longer, and look younger. And people are listening. More than ever, individuals are turning to short videos, viral posts, and trending hashtags to guide their daily habits and health decisions.
While this surge in accessible information is empowering in many ways, it also comes with a downside: not all advice is credible. Wellness trends can spread quickly online, often without scientific backing or medical oversight. From alternative therapies to extreme diets, it can be hard to know what’s worth adopting—and what’s better left behind.
That’s where trusted professionals like Dr. Sabrina Solt come in.

“Social media is a powerful tool,” Dr. Solt explains. “But people need to approach it with discernment. Not every trend is rooted in truth, and not every method works for every person.”
In a digital landscape flooded with quick-fix promises, Dr. Solt’s expertise is invaluable. On the following page, she breaks down the reality behind the top 6 wellness trends currently exploding across social media, offering the perspective her followers have come to trust.

1. BEEF TALLOW FOR SKIN
Beef tallow, once a cooking staple, is trending as a natural moisturizer. Rich in vitamins and resembling human sebum, it nourishes dry skin. While effective for some, it's not ideal for oily or acne-prone types. Quality sourcing—like grass-fed—is key.

MOUTH TAPING FOR SLEEP
Mouth taping encourages nasal breathing, which may improve sleep quality, reduce snoring, and increase oxygen intake. When done safely with medical-grade tape, it’s helpful for some. However, it’s not recommended for those with breathing issues or untreated sleep disorders.

3. REBOUNDING (MINI TRAMPOLINE WORKOUTS)
Bouncing on a mini trampoline helps stimulate lymphatic flow, improve circulation, and reduce joint stress. Just 10 minutes a day can support detoxification and boost mood. It’s fun, low-impact, and surprisingly effective when done consistently.

PLUNGING
Peptides are amino acid chains used in skincare and performance supplements. They may boost collagen, muscle recovery, and longevity—but not all are equally researched or regulated. Topicals are generally safe, while injectables should be used with professional guidance.
Cold water immersion may reduce inflammation, elevate mood, and support resilience. Backed by some research, it’s popular among athletes and wellness seekers. However, it’s not safe for everyone and should be approached gradually.
6. FISH OIL
Once a must-have supplement, fish oil is now being questioned. Whole food sources of omega-3s—like salmon or flaxseed—may offer better absorption. If supplementing, choose high-quality, third-party tested brands to avoid oxidation and contaminants.
