Inside this issue, you’ll meet a few of our local Women of Influence—leaders, entrepreneurs and trailblazers who are shaping Gallatin’s future. These remarkable women inspire us with their dedication, perseverance and contributions to our community. From business owners to educators and innovators, their stories remind us of the power of passion and purpose.
We’re also diving into the world of healthcare, highlighting an Obstetrician who is making a difference in the lives of local women and families. Healthcare is personal, and having compassionate, dedicated professionals guide the journey of motherhood and wellness is something worth celebrating.
And speaking of celebrating, what better way to bond with the amazing women in your life than with a girls’ trip? We’ve rounded up some fantastic destinations perfect for a getaway with your best friends, whether you're looking for relaxation, adventure or a little bit of both!
Of course, with Mother’s Day around the corner, we couldn’t forget to highlight the best Mother’s Day brunch spots. Whether you're honoring your mom, grandmother or a remarkable woman in your life, these local restaurants offer the perfect setting to gather, toast and enjoy a delicious meal together.
This issue is all about honoring women, from the roles we play to the milestones we reach. Whether you’re a mother, daughter, sister or friend, we hope this month’s features inspire you to lift up the women around you and take a moment to celebrate yourself as well.

Dr. Whitney Buck’s Mission To Care For Gallatin’s Women
Gallatin is known for its welcoming small-town charm, strong sense of community and commitment to taking care of each other. Neighbors, family and friends want the best for those they know and care about. It’s no surprise then, that Dr. Whitney Buck, the newest women’s health provider at Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas, feels right at home here. With a lifelong passion for medicine and a deep dedication to women’s health, Dr. Buck is more than just a physician—she’s a caregiver, an advocate and a friend to the women of our community.
For Dr. Buck, medicine wasn’t just a career choice—it was a calling. From a young age, she was fascinated by medicine, carrying around a copy of Gray’s Anatomy as a child. Initially drawn to general surgery, she quickly realized that obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) was where she truly belonged. Her first clinical rotation in OBGYN as a medical student solidified her path. “I was the first student to show up and the last to leave, because I just loved it so much,” she recalls.
Dr. Buck’s journey took her from Ross University School of Medicine to clinical training in Detroit, followed by a residency in OBGYN at Ascension Providence in Michigan. Throughout her training, she was shaped by the mentorship of outstanding colleagues and teachers who taught her to care for patients beyond
the textbook, treating them as if they were family. This philosophy continues to guide her approach to patient care today.
After completing her training, Dr. Buck sought a place where she could build long-term relationships with her patients and truly become part of a community. She found that in Gallatin. She describes it as having the warmth of a small town where neighbors look out for one another, making it the perfect place to put down roots.
Since moving to Gallatin, she and her husband have immersed themselves in some of the cherished local traditions, from attending the Gallatin Christmas Market in the Square to enjoying the Main Street Festival. From the start, she felt she was exactly where she was meant to be.
Dr. Buck believes that women’s health is deeply personal and unique to each individual. She prides herself on providing compassionate, personalized care that meets each patient where they are. Her philosophy is built on the foundation that every woman’s healthcare journey is different, and trust between doctor and patient is key to ensuring the best possible care.
She is especially passionate about advocating for women at every stage of life—from adolescence to pregnancy, through menopause and beyond. Educating patients and helping them make informed decisions about their health is a top priority. And of course, delivering babies remains one of the most incredible aspects of her job.
Outside of her work, Dr. Buck leads a full and exciting life. She and her husband love spending time outdoors, traveling and enjoying cozy movie nights at home. Their home is filled with love, including four furry companions: two lab mixes, Olive and Penny, and two golden retrievers, Knox and Mac.
Excitingly, Dr. Buck and her husband are preparing for a new adventure—parenthood! They are adopting their first child
this May and couldn’t be more thrilled to step into this new chapter of their lives.
Dr. Buck’s goal is simple: to provide exceptional care while creating meaningful relationships with her patients. She wants to be known as a provider who truly cares and goes above and beyond. She’s also excited about the future of women’s healthcare, particularly advancements in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Her message to the women of Gallatin is clear: preventative health matters. Every woman should see their OBGYN at least once a year because prioritizing health today leads to a stronger, healthier future.
With her warmth, passion and expertise, Dr. Buck is already making a lasting impact on Gallatin. Our community is lucky to have her, and she’s equally grateful to be here. This isn’t just a job—it’s her purpose.
So, whether you’re in need of a trusted OBGYN or just want to welcome a new neighbor, be sure to say hello to Dr. Buck. She’s here to care, support and most importantly—connect with the incredible women of Gallatin.

EMPOWERING REFLECTIONS AND LIFE
LESSONS FROM INSPIRING WOMEN MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY
In every community, there are women whose determination, resilience and vision shape the world around them. These women often pave the way for future generations, breaking barriers and leaving lasting legacies. They carry stories of perseverance, hard-earned wisdom and bold ventures. But what if they could send a letter back to their younger selves ? We are thrilled to share the powerful advice and meaningful reflections of a few of our local ladies who lead confidently, purposefully and passionately.
without limits. Serve with passion. Take all of the pictures. Travel to all the places. Notice the tiny details. Expect nothing and appreciate everything.
You don’t know it yet, but you are going to be stronger than you ever imagined. You don’t need all the answers right now. This beautiful, messy, heartbreaking and love-filled life you dream about will be even more amazing than you can imagine. You’ll learn that being raised by a single mother, leaning on your Nana, Poppy, big sister and many incredible mentors wasn’t just your foundation. It was your greatest gift. Lean into their love, strength and the lessons they leave behind. You’ll become a mother of two amazing boys, and it will be the most beautiful, challenging and rewarding adventure of all. You’ll raise them with strength, love and determination, just as your mother did for you. Your experiences will teach you resilience, independence and the beauty of embracing the unknown. But what will truly define you is your heart for people, your desire to serve and the way you pour yourself into the lives of others. Your work will change lives, but the greatest gift will be the community that supports and inspires you every step of the way. So trust your spirit, even when the path feels uncertain. Never forget you are exactly who you were always meant to be.
With love and gratitude, Me
Your life is a privilege. Thank God for every day that He gives you. God created you for exactly this time. He gave you amazing qualities, skills and purpose that you are to use to glorify Him. You will see Him work through you and you will see Him do things that you could not have done on your own. You will get a front-row seat to see some of His work, and it’s an amazing show. You will experience amazing highs in life and painful lows. The lows are some of the places where you will see God clearly. There, you will also find your true character, grit and resilience. But Carrie, you will find the mountain tops as well. And they make it all worthwhile.
Love, Me
Make your bed every morning and eat breakfast with your family. Enjoy the conversations and stay involved in your family’s lives. Never stop saying, “I love you.” You will get knocked down, ridiculed and passed over, but never quit! You will be a young female in business, but be kind, study harder and learn from your mentors. Soak up the knowledge shared with you by men and women willing to teach you. In-person meetings will not go out of style. Continue these! Some of the best advice I can give you is to turn your “got to” into “get to.” Pray all day long, read and study your Bible, spend time with your parents while you can and tell them you love them. When you achieve goals, remember you didn’t get there by yourself; be appreciative and grateful.
Love,
Me
Don’t fit into someone else’s mold or tone yourself down. Your creativity, grit and uniqueness are your magic.

Take a deep breath, girl. I know you have big dreams, but spoiler alert—it won’t go exactly how you pictured, but it’ll be even better. Right now, you see yourself managing a luxury event planning company or running a five-star hotel. Hospitality will always be in your DNA, but life will nudge you toward something even more special. One day, you’ll find yourself standing in the middle of a family business, blending tradition with creativity. Success won’t be about climbing a corporate ladder—it’ll be about building something meaningful that brings people together. And here’s something you don’t see coming—having a family of your own will shift your world in the best way. It will change your perspective, shape your priorities and bring a new kind of fulfillment. You’ll learn to balance ambition with what truly matters. Your faith will be your anchor, guiding you through uncertainty and reminding you that God’s plan is always greater than your own. You’ll find joy in the chaos, strength in the unknown and confidence in your own instincts. Oh, and that perfectionist streak? Loosen your grip a little. Most importantly, be yourself. Dream big, take risks and trust the journey—the best is yet to come.
With love, Morgan
