Ayear-long renovation with a $4 million price tag has resulted in an extraordinary new customer experience that is now available at Cronic Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
“It is not an exaggeration to say that everything in the showroom is new,” said Wanda Cronic Howell, president of Cronic Automotive Group. “A customer waiting room that is attractive and state-of-theart. Instead of waiting at the service area, customers will be able to come to the showroom and have a much more uplifting experience – beautiful and modern.”
A new three-lane drive for sales and service will make visiting the dealership much easier and more pleasant, especially during inclement weather. The service drive is connected to the building to give customers a way to drop off their vehicles and come inside to experience the new showroom. A new customer lounge provides wifi hookups and computer plugs for convenience along with a coffee bar with snacks.
“One of the biggest features now is that our service drive is connected to our showroom and not to the service department,” said Tom Swygert, general manager of Cronic Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. “That is a new addition. It is a better user experience than they had before.”
The service department is adding personnel, specifically more technicians, with a plan to have quicker service and earlier turnaround time to get customers in and out.
“There’s more service space to take care of customers in a more timely manner,” said Howell.
The new showroom is set up with a precise design that displays Jeep vehicles on one side of the large open space and Chrysler Dodge Ram vehicles on the other.
Along with the features throughout the new showroom, Swygert is eager to show the community the new displays for the vehicles themselves, including the Wagoneer
and Grand Wagoneer.
“There is a special section in the new showroom that is designated for those products,” he said. We are excited about showing off that new product line.”
All in all, it means a more comfortable and pleasant experience for customers.
“The showroom is all new and very contemporarily furnished,” said Howell. “It takes my breath away when I go in there.”
Whether you need service on an existing vehicle or you are in the market for a new one, there is no better time than right now to check out the “new and improved” Cronic Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Investing in Everything
I'm excited to roll out our new theme for April 2024... The Investment Issue!
When I first heard that our theme had changed, I was only thinking in one vein. "How are we going to do an entire magazine about investment strategies," I wondered. I mean, investing your dollars is important, I get that, but where's the color?
The more I pondered "investment", the more I realized that we invest in different things in different ways every day. Every time I take Abby to school, I invest in her ability to learn. When I spend time at board meetings or speak in public about Two Sparrows Village, I invest in the future of an adult with intellectual or developmental disabilities' ability to live independently. Every time I shop at or use the services of one of our advertising partners I invest in our community of small businesses who keep this magazine coming to your mailboxes. I'd encourage you to do the same!
One of the best decisions of my life was to invest in Fayette County Lifestyle magazine. Yes, we invested money, but on a much grander scale, we get to invest our time in building something that not only feeds our family but feeds our community with good and encouraging stories about some fantastic people and businesses.
I hope you enjoy the time you invest in reading this issue... we appreciate it, and you!
Blessings,

YOU’RE IN THE MARKET
FOR a solid golf cart, Golf Rider has a healthy selection of two of the top E-Z-GO models – the RXV and the S4 – at its Peachtree City location. The S4 is “the Jeep of the golf cart world,” according to Golf Rider General Manager, Lee Woodruff. It has a rugged look with brush guards and aggressive tires that make it suitable for some off-road activity. Its four-inch lift gives it extra clearance, which is vital when traversing across wide swaths of acreage rather than on a paved cart path. (Lifts sometimes make it too tall for tunnels in Peachtree City’s cart system, but they’re great for more wide-open spaces in Fayetteville, Senoia and Newnan.) “A lot of people like the S4 because it looks like a Jeep,” said Woodruff. “People here love them and want them – not because they need to do a lot of

pulling and towing, but because they look good.”
The RXV is a tried and true, reliable baseline model from E-ZGO that can be a great fit for any family. Its desirable starting price point provides flexibility for adding fun and necessary upgrades while respecting your wallet. Also, its low-profile ground clearance is complementary to customers who have difficulty entering and exiting vehicles. “The benefit of the RXV is that it is a baseline cart,” said Woodruff. “It is more of a midgrade cart that can be upgraded if you want it, but it doesn’t necessarily come with upgrades and hit you with a higher price.”
the 4.2 battery pack option with onboard charging is the preferred configuration because it provides more distance and range – up to 45 miles.
There is also the option of buying a two-battery cart, which
can mean some long-term savings because adding a second battery after the initial purchase can be quite costly. There are approximately 30 RXVs and 20 S4s available now at Golf Rider in a variety of color choices including several units outfitted with a backup camera and Apple Play entertainment center.
Customers who purchase the RXV from Golf Rider have options as far as battery power, however

Party goers enjoy a picnic add-on experience.
When her daughter wished for a birthday slumber party, Amanda Moberly saw an opportunity! Seeing the magic she could create, she started Sweet Dream Campers, a business that makes dreams come true. Sweet Dream Campers provides a themed, in-home glamping experience for birthdays and other celebrations. “My daughter, Adalyn, is completely obsessed with sleepovers,” Amanda said. “She figured other kids would be just as thrilled to have a unique camping experience inside their home.”
Sweet Dream Campers provides each sleepover guest with a tent, a twin-size air mattress, and other decor following the chosen theme. Pricing is based on the number of tents, and set-up usually takes an hour or two. It’s a big win for parents who can focus on enjoying the party. “All they have to do is provide a clear, clean space. We set it all up and the next day we take it all out,” Amanda said. Party addons include balloon decor, activity kits, and personalized party favors.
Sweet Dream Campers offers a variety of themes that include ‘The Glitzy Girl,’ ‘Under the Rose Gold Moon’ and the recently launched ‘Taylor’s Version’, for Taylor Swift fans. Boys’ themes include ‘Gaming
All Night,’ ‘Nerf Gun’ and ‘Dino Night’ as well as a variety of sports themes. With a 30-day lead time, Amanda can create other specialized themes, providing clients with whatever experience they’re looking for.
Sweet Dream Campers also offers picnic setups that can be added to slumber parties or booked separately for children or adult parties such as baby or bridal showers. Need décor for other events and special occasions? Amanda designs and sells custom balloon arches and backdrops as well. Her customers’ excitement when they see the setups and fun décor makes Amanda’s work worthwhile.

ON THE DOCKETINVESTING IN COMMUNITY AND ONESELF
David Moore provides insight for making impactful community investments, while upholding the principles of servant leadership and a balanced life.
“You will know them by their fruits.” A scripture found in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 7, verse 16, characterizes the healthy lifestyle and philanthropy of David Moore. Friends and colleagues in the medical, mental health, legal, faith, and fitness industries, who have known David for decades, can attest to the consistency he demonstrates in “walking the walk”. A native Atlantan, David is committed to modeling healthy living and being an example of what it looks like to make meaningful investments in community.
It takes stamina to keep up with David Moore. He landed his first job when he was nine years old selling fruits and vegetables off a truck from the local farmers market, and he has not stopped since. David is one of eleven, and to distinguish between the five Davids in his family, he is known by friends and family as DR, the abbreviation of his first two names, David Ray. DR acquired his first Bible on layaway at age 12, and fast forward to adulthood, he and his wife Pam have been married for 23 years. They have seven children, sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Raised in the inner-city projects of Atlanta, DR rose to become the most decorated police officer in the
Atlanta Police Department, receiving Officer of the Year, Employee of the Year (for multiple departments), and the Mayoral Award. After retiring from law enforcement, he became a successful lawyer in Atlanta and has managed his own firm for decades.
Today, David is a judge who works in the Magistrate Court, State Court, and Superior Court in Fayette County. He also presides over trials in other parts of the state when there is a need. David has been practicing law for forty years and is the founding law partner of Peachtree Law Group, which now has sixteen attorneys. He is deemed one of the most successful lawyers in Georgia, getting recoveries for cases that were rejected by others.
Judge Moore stays active in the Fayette Bar Association and many other legal associations. He was President of the local Bar twice, leading the Fayette Bar to double its membership, and received State Bar of Georgia Awards both times. A teacher and mentor, Judge Moore is intentional about helping other Fayette County lawyers be their best through continuing legal education. He thrives on being busy and doing good - always has, and it seems he always will. He exercises three times a week, is committed to a healthy lifestyle, and contributes to

a healthy community in a host of ways. David and Pam have been supporters of more than a dozen charities for many years, in addition to ministries, missions, and local churches.
In his debut book, Perfect Balance, David helps readers navigate difficult health decisions. The book is a resource for individuals seeking a concise guide to overcome the dilemma of dieting, stress, sickness, unhappiness, lack of spirituality, and not living a healthy lifestyle. He believes, “Willpower is the function of blood sugar.” He continues, “Willpower is not only for choosing the right foods but for everything in life.” The book is a blueprint for success through balance and harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. “You can’t save anybody. You just share Christ.”
Judge Moore has been a member of the Peachtree City Rotary Club since the 90s and has a flawless attendance record. While he supports and sponsors Rotary events like the International Festival at Lake Peachtree, his special joy is the program that provides free bicycles to children in our community. “It hurts me to think about a kid without a bike.” David’s heart for children extends to Sunday school class where he’s been teaching youth for the past 22 years.
David is active in the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and his philanthropic endeavors benefit organizations like Christian City, Southwest Christian Care, Fayette Senior Services, and others. He enjoys helping the Fayette Senior Services Life Enrichment Center restore and maintain the organization’s garden. He is also involved in several support efforts, “We do different things to raise money to send to South America to dig wells, so people have water to drink.”
Whether you call him Judge Moore, David, or DR, you are referring to a servant leader who consistently gives of himself, his time, and his resources. “I work the Fall Festival at church. I sponsor bikes. I help with the running club and cleaning up the parks in Peachtree City. Every year I work the dragon boat race, and I’ve sponsored in the Rotary Phone Book for 20+ years. I’ve been on the round table at the Chamber.” David selflessly helps wherever he can.
An advocate for supporting and volunteering in local charities, David helps to provide essential services to those in need. By engaging actively, he fosters empathy, builds connections, and contributes to positive social change - not to mention a sense of fulfillment and purpose while creating healthier, happier communities.
“I love people, and I thank God for having this opportunity.”
One Sunday, David asked the youth at church, “What’s the most important thing in life?” After a number of viable answers, he shared, “The first thing you need to do is give your life to Christ. What better way to glorify God than accepting his son?”

Your Home, Your Sanctuary
A NEW, HIGH-END NEIGHBORHOOD WITH MORE SPACE COMING TO FAYETTEVILLE!
ARTICLE BY SUSAN WALWORTH
Choosing a house is a big decision that takes time, energy, lots of conversations with professionals, and a sizeable investment. Finding the place where you and your family will live, day in and day out, is nothing to be cavalier about. This is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make and it deserves the time to make the best decision possible for the future of your family. Seeing your driveway at the end of a long day should make you smile... you should love where you live.
Cookie-cutter housing developments are a dime a dozen. Jeff Lammes and Adrian Islas, owners of AJ Construction and Renovation, Inc., are breaking the mold with their latest project, Eva Gardens. The 33-lot development, located near SR 85 off Old Senoia Road in Fayetteville, will offer $1.5-million-and-up custom homes with a classic, European feel. While the homes may offer the aesthetic of old English estates with ivy-covered walls and beautiful gardens, they will also provide modern finishes and conveniences.
Describing the new development as “very high end,” Jeff remarks, “We are one of the builders in Eva Gardens and it’s going to be very unique. There are other high-end neighborhoods in Fayette County, but these are high-end

homes on one-acre lots—high-end with some breathing room. Fayette County is seeing tremendous growth and there is an increasing demand for high-end, custom homes. There are a lot of standard neighborhoods, but not a lot of neighborhoods that bring this kind of quality construction. We are working closely with Jefferson Browne of Jefferson Browne Architecture, who is the lead designer and has a huge presence in our community. Their signature designs will be clearly evident.”
Another thing that will set Eva Gardens apart is its biophilic design. While the sites of many developments are stripped bare before construction begins, this approach to designing a housing development emphasizes preserving the existing natural beauty. Most importantly, this design approach connects nature, the houses, and their occupants. This is achieved through thoughtful building placement and the choice of local, natural materials that reflect the developers’ commitment to sustainability, resilience, and respect for the natural surroundings.
Each home’s interior, marked with unique architectural features, will also support residents’ connection with the outdoors. High ceilings, large custom windows, and doorways will welcome natural light and beauty inside while blurring the barrier between interior and exterior. Artful pathways will beckon dwellers outside to interact with their gardens. Amenities at Eva Gardens will include a lakeside pavilion where the community can gather or where residents can enjoy the lake in quiet solitude. Cart paths will allow easy access to Fayette County’s new $14 million multi-use recreation center on Redwine Road, which will feature a walking/jogging track and sports courts.
Although the homes in Eva Gardens will adhere to the neighborhood aesthetic, they will include a variety of homes suited to each lot’s topography. Lot reservations have already begun and once the lot

is chosen, future residents will work with an architect and interior designer to create exactly what they want within the neighborhood’s parameters. When site work is completed, Lammes said, “We’ll start building it.” The first home construction is slated for June. “We can build pretty much whatever they want within the guidelines of our storyboard. We’ll work hand in hand with the architect and interior designer to create their turn-key, custom homes.” Lammes said Eva Gardens is not a development for a certain age bracket. “There are some folks in their early 20’s that can afford to live here and then there are retirees looking for high-end fixtures. It’s for families of all ages.”
The team at AJ Construction and Renovation not only builds homes but also provides services to help homeowners enjoy the homes they’re in. As the temperature rises, most homeowners focus on their home’s exterior. Whether it’s an outdoor kitchen, gazebo, custom garage, painting & refurbishing a porch, or adding hardscapes, Lammes said, “We have the teams to build whatever you want.”

REINVEST AND RESUSCITATE

Inside the workshop, a few steps from Sarah’s Home Design & Gift House in Peachtree City, a doctor performs surgery. His patient has bones, four legs, and a spine, but no pulse. Still, the doctor handles her gently, his skilled hands draping her in soft, teal fabric. The script on his white coat proclaims Noble

Craftsmen at Sarah's Home give furniture a new life through the art of upholstery.

Noble, Sarah and Alim share a passion for upholstery.
“Your hands become your eyes. Your eyes lie sometimes, but your hands won’t.” - Noble Harris
Harris “The Doctor” but he doesn’t have a medical degree. He and his equally talented co-worker Alim Hassan resuscitate furniture through the art of upholstery. “This is what we do,” Noble said. “From the time we unlock the door, we’re performing surgery all day.”
“The springs—they’re like the chair’s spine—are fine,” Harris said, diagnosing his patient—a slipper chair with shapely carved legs. “No matter what you’re doing, you treat it as if it was a female,” he said. “You know you got to be gentle.”
Before surgery begins, Sarah Thomas, owner of Sarah’s Home, helps customers in the design store choose the perfect fabric that will revive their tired furniture. Reupholstering furniture is expensive, Sarah said, but less expensive than buying new pieces of comparable quality. She stresses the importance of using quality fabric, such as stain-resistant performance fabrics, to make the
investment worthwhile. During the upholstery process, many pieces must be stripped to the bones. Sometimes only the layers of old fabric need removing. “We never cover over.”
The operation is as much an art as a skill. Joking that his surgeon’s hands are insured, Noble said, “Your hands become your eyes. We do a lot of things we can’t see, but we can feel it and know if it’s right or wrong. Your eyes lie sometimes, but your hands won’t. That’s the way we do it up in here.” Alim compares upholstering to putting clothes on furniture. “Once you see the fabric pattern, you know what it’s going to look like at the end. You have to visualize that.” Sarah likes to sell intricate fabric, but the guys enjoy the challenge. Difficult fabrics and patterns like silk and buffalo checks are tackled with precision. Noble even loves tufting. “You have to challenge your mind,” he said. “That’s the only way you’re going to maintain your skills.”

A beautifully reupholstered piece at Sarah's Home.
The pieces Noble enjoys most are sentimental family pieces, some so old they’re stuffed with horsehair. “There’s a spirit of the people who used them that lies within those pieces,” he said. He also enjoys making custom ottomans covered in team colors and logos.
Noble met Sarah in an upholstery class. He has been with Sarah’s Home for about seven years and in the upholstery business for about 35. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather who was also an upholsterer. Alim has worked for Sarah’s Home for about a year, but he grew up in his father’s upholstery shop and has been involved with the craft “ever since I’ve been able to walk around,” he said. After more than 40 years he still loves it. “I can’t see myself doing nothing else,” he said. “I like to see their (customer’s) reaction when they pick their stuff up. Their face just lights up.” Noble agrees. “You fall in love with this stuff. You get addicted and the grave is the only thing that’s gonna get you out of it.”
It’s a passion Sarah shares. She is proud of the quality and custom work these men produce in the short turnaround time of four to six weeks. Longterm plans are also being made to offer upholstery classes. Friends and customers often stop by the workshop to hang out. “It’s like Cheers,” Sarah said. But with a never-ending line of furniture to save, surgery doesn’t stop. “You keep it moving,” Noble said.

1. Japanese Shun
Knife
My favorite knife is a Japanese Shun Chef's knife. They are incredibly sharp and beautifully hand-crafted. Trust me, it will be your workhorse and friend for life.
2. KitchenAid Stand Mixer
I've been using a KitchenAid Stand Mixer all my life, from my mother’s 1950's mixer to my 6-quart professional model. I've found this brand to be the most reliable and wouldn't trade mine for the world.
3. Immersion Blender
Every modern kitchen should have an immersion blender. It is versatile and easier to clean. Works amazingly well for soups, pancake batter, and whipping cream… the uses are endless.
4. de Buyer Mandoline
I have a de Buyer Mandoline that has been my go-to piece of equipment for perfect paper-thin veggies for ratatouille, scalloped potatoes, and the perfect French fries. Mandolines come with several cutting plates of various sizes, so you're not limited to only one or two cutting sizes.
5. Le Creuset Dutch oven
Finally, my hands-down most used kitchen tool is my Le Creuset Dutch oven. I use it for everything from roasted chicken to delicious stews or a crusty peasant loaf. You will pass your Le Creuset down for generations!
