ast month the new 2021 Nissan Armada rolled into Cronic Nissan. The first buyer, a government employee, traded in her used Armada for a brand new one. General Manager JC Coissy said the buyer got another Armada because it fit her family, and made her feel safe. With young children, she wanted to be able to drive them and visiting relatives into Atlanta. As Nissan’s biggest SUV, the 2021 Armada is spacious without being difficult to drive. It’s luxurious without being expensive. And it’s got all the modern technology. The Armada seats six or seven people, depending on captain’s chairs or a bench in the second row. Even with the third row of seats that can fold down for more storage, the Armada was built streamlined. Although named after boats, it doesn’t

drive like one. “It’s not as big as most fullsized SUVs,” says JC. “It’s easy to park.” He continued, “The Armada is in the same class as the largest SUVs, but price-wise, it’s a lot less with base models starting at $49,900. This year Nissan redesigned it so the Armada looks like a completely different vehicle. They squared up the front end, upgraded the interior and put a bigger screen up front. You’ve got a V8 engine in those bad boys, so there’s up to 400 horsepower. You can pull whatever you need to pull without having to give up any sort of luxury.” JC said that the technology in the car also made sense for his buyer. Her children will be able to plug their devices into the USB NISSAN

ports in the backseat. Because she bought the full entertainment package, there are TVs built into the headrests. The Armada also has built in WiFi, both for streaming and to update the navigation. Drivers have the option to use Apple CarPlay or AndroidAuto, whichever matches their preferred phone interface. While every car dealership in America deals with lower inventory due to the global chip shortage and the pandemic, JC says this is the perfect time to trade in or outright sell a pre-owned vehicle to Cronic. And of course, it’s possible to shop for the Nissan Armada and other Cronic cars from the comfort of home by visiting croniccars.com.

I knew that if I had a little girl someday, she would be both her Earthly and Heavenly Father's Joy; and she is. A few years back I read "John Adams" by David McCullough. I highly recommend it.

I also highly recommend keeping a dictionary nearby as McCullough's vocabulary is far superior to the average college graduate's vocabulary, sheesh! But I digress. John Adams, our second president, was married to an outspoken, strong-willed, formidable, determined and tough woman, Abigail (Smith) Adams. Abigail was considered as John's closest advisor and many have said that she is the reason her husband held one of the most powerful positions in world leadership. According to Wikipedia, Abigail did not receive formal schooling; she was frequently sick as a child, something which may have been a factor preventing her from receiving an education. Later in life, Abigail would also consider that she was deprived of an education because females were rarely given such an opportunity. Although she did not receive a formal education, her mother taught her to read, write and cipher; her father's, uncle's and grandfather's large libraries enabled her to study English and

Grilling: It’s Not Just for Men Anymore! Content Sponsored by Atlanta Home & Patio
Oh sure, in years past men have been the stereotypical grillmasters, receiving tool sets and new grills for Father’s Day since the outdoor grill first hit the market in the 1950’s. But in this new age, women are getting their grill on more than ever!
Meet the New Co-Owner of Atlanta Home & Patio, Pam Dobbins.
No, she didn’t purchase the company, rather, married her coowner, Gray Dobbins, or as he’s known in the industry, “The Patio Daddio”! Pam and Gray sell the very popular Big Green Eggs® (BGE) in their store and sales to women of these amazing grills
have grown. “We had one customer last year who told us she wanted to buy a BGE for her husband for Father’s Day. But under her breath she whispered with a smirk, ‘Well, it’s really a present for me’. We came to find out that since she “gave it to her husband” he hasn’t touched it once! It’s been all her this whole time!” Pam exclaimed. The Dobbins have everything you would ever want to purchase for an amazing Big Green Egg® experience. All sizes of the BGE grill, cooking utensils, BGE cookbooks and spices. And don’t forget about the smoking woods, they have them all. The Big Green Egg® isn’t just for smoking meats either. “It makes some of the best pizzas we’ve ever tasted!” Pam shared her recipe with us.
The Big Green Egg® California Pizza
Ingredients:
Step 1. Preheat grill: Start your coals, then place the ConvEGGtor (legs facing down), then the grate. Step 2. Next, place pizza stone on top of the grill grate to warm up with the grill and get it hot, 500 - 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Step 3. Lightly brush the side of the Naan with olive oil where you are placing your toppings. Step 4. Spread fig preserves. Top with mozzarella cheese and sopressata. Step 5. Using a pizza peel, gently slide the pizza off the peel onto the center of the pizza stone. Close the lid and let it grill for 5 – 6 minutes. Step 6. Pull finished pizza and top immediately with piles of fresh arugula and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Step 7. Enjoy every mouthwatering bite!

Harvey’s cakes have a dual purpose, party décor and dessert. “I love letting my artsy side show,” Harvey shares. “This is everything from mixing colors to creating textures and bringing my ideas to life.” Late nights and trial and error contribute to the excellence of her cakes. Unlike many bakers, Harvey chooses to not use fondant when decorating. “I like the look and taste of buttercream, decorating a cake is like painting a canvas to me and I can achieve that look better with buttercream instead of a fondant-covered cake.” The most challenging cake to date was a Harry Potter theme. Chelsie and her partner, Josh, had been married previously and had a son, Joshua. After their divorce, Chelsie had a daughter, Adelaide, and Josh had a son, Wyatt. her in touch with Southside Support. Her association with the group proved providential after the couple’s daughter Rosie was born in 2018 with a rare genetic mutation known as Pfeiffer Syndrome in 2018. “It was like the Lord had aligned my life the way it should be,” Chelsie said. “I already had this amazing support group of moms. It was just really wonderful.” Although there have been many hospital stays with Rosie, when the executive director position for Southside Support came open, Chelsie, who has worked with non-profits much of her life, said, “It was just put on my heart that this was something I needed to do.” After a year in the position, she knows that all she’s been through has led her to this place to help the families of special needs kids have the support they need and have the same kinds of memory-building experiences that other families have. “I’m loving it,” she said. It’s been incredible.”

SISTERS SERVING STRONG (CONTINUED) through conversations with women entrepreneurs; executing lunch and learn and training webinars; providing art-related education; hosting annual health expos, and breast cancer initiatives; and, recently, providing relief for those affected by the tornado in Coweta county. In addition, the local chapter sisters raise funds each year for organizations, including the Hedera Foundation, Promise Place, One Roof, AARP and the American Heart Association. With such an extensive membership base, AKA frequently holds annual international and regional meetings to foster leadership, friendship and fellowship among its members. Regional conferences are held in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Because of the pandemic, conferences are currently aired virtually. This platform has opened new doors for the sorority through expanding its reach to different communities. With Ethel Hedgeman Lyle as their guiding light, Ms. Widemon and her 170+ sorors of PPO continue to forge ahead to provide servant-leadership services to their beloved communities of Fayette and Coweta. To learn more about the AKA mission, visit the websites of the local chapters and the AKA international site at www.aka1908.com.

Do you have unexplained pelvic pain?
You could be suffering from Pelvic Vein Compression (PVC)
What Causes PVC & Why Should it Matter to You? Pelvic vein congestion is the engorgement of the veins in and around the pelvic structures including the vagina, uterus, bladder, ovaries and pelvic floor. There are essentially three causes for pelvic congestion: • Primary Pelvic Vein Congestion: This is engorged or dilated veins in the pelvis that occur naturally over time; usually, this occurs after multiple births, and with each pregnancy, more and more veins begin to fail. • Secondary Pelvic Congestion due to iliac vein compression. • Pelvic Congestion due to left renal vein compression or Nutcracker Syndrome.
Symptoms of Pelvic Congestion • Irritable Bowel Syndrome • Dyspareunia (pain during or after intercourse) • Painful Menstrual Cycle/Fibroids • Pain in Legs During Menstruation (usually due to a connection between the pelvic/lower extremity veins)
• Low Back or Hip Pain (that has not been resolved by other specialties) • Pelvic Pressure (fullness or pain lasting longer than 6 mo.) • Labial Veins/Scrotal Veins • Hemorrhoids & Irritable Bladder
If you said "yes" to any of these symptoms, you may be experiencing PVC. Call and schedule your initial consultation today! (678) 833-1444 | www.trufflesveinspecialists.com | 874 West Lanier Ave, Ste 220 Fayetteville, GA 30214
