SUCCESS DEFINED PASSION + PURPOSE + COMMUNITY
In this issue we celebrate men making a difference in community and the lives of others.
Have you ever wondered about the history of Father's Day? A Babylonian youth named Elmesu carved the first known Father's Day card in clay nearly 4,000 years ago. His special message wished his father good health and long life.
The way we celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June every year continues to evolve. We honor dads, grandpas, uncles, big brothers, and mentors. We honor the men in our lives who continue to impact us and others. They give their time, talent, treasure and teach us life's most valuable lessons.
Children and youth today need someone more than ever who can serve as their role model, a "superhero". Someone who works tirelessly for his family and those he loves to help educate, nourish, inspire, comfort and provide life's necessities.
We invite you to join us this June as we give respect to the men in our lives who are making a difference in our home, schools, work and community.
Let your father or a father figure in your life know how much he matters to you. And if you are a dad, let us be the first to say - thank you. You are invaluable to the people who know and need you, as well as the community around you.
Happy Father’s Day!

STANDING ROOM ONLY!
The last time we chatted with Peytan Porter, she was sitting in a Nashville coffee shop after just having relocated there from her hometown of Dawsonville. Growing up in Dawsonville, one of three girls, she spent time in the basement listening to music, studying songwriters, literature and marketing. When she moved to Nashville, she surrounded herself with a supportive professional team. She had just released her first record, In My Head, and was hoping to tour and dedicate herself to a signature project.

Well, she’s come a long way in a short time, opening this month for three-time Grammy Award winner Tim McGraw’s highly anticipated 2024 Standing Room Only Tour
“I always want to deliver the best possible concert I can for the fans,” said McGraw. “We’ve got some really special plans to make this the biggest and the best tour we’ve ever done.”
Featuring a huge production, his biggest hits, and songs from his forthcoming 17th studio album Standing Room Only, the tour promises the most fun and memories of a lifetime.
On Standing Room Only, fans can expect an album full of McGraw’s enduring country sound, distinguished vocals and meaningful songs. Standing Room Only marks McGraw’s first new record
since 2020’s Here On Earth , which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart.
Throughout his career, McGraw has amassed 68 Top 10s and holds the Mediabase record for the most weeks at No. 1 with all titles, totaling 73 weeks, and holds the record for second-most No. 1 albums in the U.S., just behind George Strait.
We caught up with Peytan to talk tour, music and dreams.
SUE COLLINS: WE'RE SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO BE OPENING FOR TIM MCGRAW. HOW ARE YOU?
Peytan Porter: I’m so honored to be opening for Tim McGraw on these dates. I’m really excited because I will be playing arenas for the first time in my career. I’ve
Photo by CeCe Dawsonnever played a room even close to that size, so it’s pretty surreal. Not to mention that one of them is State Farm Arena in Atlanta, which isn’t too far from my hometown in Dawsonville, so I’m hoping to see some familiar faces at that one, which is always extra special!
SC: TELL US ABOUT YOUR FANS. HOW DOES THEIR SUPPORT FUEL YOUR SUCCESS?
PP: My fans have been really kind in letting me evolve creatively as an artist and person. They are really supportive of any direction my creativity takes me in. The freedom to be authentically myself is the best gift they could give me.
SC: WHAT ARE A FEW CREATURE COMFORTS YOU'LL TAKE ON THE ROAD WITH YOU?
PP: I take my teddy with me on the road. He has been to almost all of my tour stops! I got him my senior year of high school and I always take him along with me. I also always have Twizzlers and coffee!
SC: WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING IN YOUR CAREER NOW?
PP: There’s been a lot going on that I’m super excited about! I’ve been writing a ton and I’m gearing up to release new music. I also just played my first headlining shows. I played The Basement in Nashville and Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta. I also made my Grand Ole Opry debut in May, which was crazy to wrap my head around. I’m always trying to be as busy as possible and on the road as much as I can. I think it’s going to be a great second half of the year!

Physician and Medical Director at Mojo Vitality
One of Georgia’s most experienced and distinguished urologists and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeons has relocated to East Cobb and opened Mojo Vitality.
After graduating from medical school in the 90s, Dr. James Cullison spent decades as a clinician and surgeon before deciding to branch out. Stepping away from his traditional practices, he wanted to make a difference by enhancing people’s everyday lives through guidance and research-backed treatments.
“We liked the concept of “mojo” as something we all seek to hang onto as we age,” says Dr. Cullison.
Though it’s often seen as fleeting, improving mental, emotional and physical health can restore one’s zest for life—or “mojo” as Dr. Cullison and his team would say. So, in early 2023, Mojo Vitality, a vibrant medical clinic dedicated to helping patients thrive in life, opened in East Cobb.
“We want to focus on making all those things that traditional medicine practices won’t address better,” says Dr. Cullison.
Every patient’s first visit to Mojo Vitality begins with a questionnaire, where you rank the areas of life you want to improve from one to 10. From there, the well-trained staff at Mojo Vitality will devise a customized plan catered to your needs so you can get your mojo back!
“We offer more than pill pushing or a one-stop shop,” says Dr. Cullison. “We have true physician-to-patient interaction with in-depth conversations not driven by insurance companies or corporate healthcare.”
Mojo Vitality specializes in medical weight loss, hormone therapy, peptides, sexual dysfunction and aesthetics. It was recently named the Best IV Therapy in East Cobb.
As a son and grandson of Georgia lawyers and a natural champion for the underdog, there is no question why Bill Gentry decided long ago to bring his purpose to the courtroom. Becoming an attorney has allowed him to help others by reestablishing their sense of self in pivotal moments.
After working alongside a number of lawyers over the years, Bill fulfilled his longtime goal of delivering high-quality family law services to the community when he formed Gentry Law Firm decades ago in Marietta.
“Like a gardener, I very much enjoy helping people transition from some of their darkest days into their best future,” says Bill. “When our job is done, I encourage our clients to come back in a few months and a few years to tell us how their lives are going. I love to
hear their stories about how the Gentry Law Firm has brought them emotional peace and a brighter future.”
As a lifelong attorney, Bill is no stranger to the challenges that come with such a demanding, client-facing job and he maneuvers them well every time.
“It is very important for me to be able to help people make life transitions in a way that preserves their dignity and their ability to get along,” says Bill. “Practicing law for 38 years, I have seen many success stories for families, and it is an indescribably gratifying feeling when a former client returns to thank me for that advice.”
Thanks to Bill Gentry’s original vision, Cobb County has a dependable family law firm that promises to walk beside each client throughout the legal process while helping them work toward a brighter future at every step.

“We are the type of company that transforms how people organize, which is an ongoing gift”
Alongside his wife and business partner, Chelsea, Jason Ianitello continues his father-in-law’s legacy, bringing structure and organization into homes around East Cobb and the entire Atlanta metro area with his company, Closet Designs & More.
Jason assisted his father-in-law, Bill, with sales and installations for six years before ultimately buying the business from him when he retired. Now, he shares the same passion for envisioning and bringing creative designs to life in the organizational world.
“I have always liked to be organized, and helping others feels natural to me,” says Jason. “I am always up for a good challenge, so I like creating funkyshaped spaces like sloped ceilings, tight corners and spaces people think are unusable.”
He finds inspiration for current and future projects by scouring closet design groups on social media and attending annual closet summits, which feature expert information from industry leaders. And while design is his strong suit, his favorite part of the job will always be the people his creative spaces impact.
“We are the type of company that transforms how people organize, which is an ongoing gift,” says Jason. “Most of our clients call us for one space and then call back for more spaces to be done once they see how the transformation works in their daily lives. Repeat clients are the biggest testament to our work.”
With so many designers and organizers in business today, proving their worth to clients is Closet Designs & More’s top priority. In doing that, they pay meticulous attention to detail during each project, follow through on promises by providing premier customer service, and offer a rare lifetime warranty on everything they sell.
“The phone call from the happy client at the end that says ‘this is now my favorite room in the house’ never gets old.” - Jason Ianitello
A 2005 family vacation to the scenic North Georgia mountains sparked Tommy Wosyluk’s adoration for the area. So he then moved from Central Florida to Blue Ridge, Georgia, where Tommy began his work with some of the region’s greatest builders and developers, designing and bringing to life many others’ mountain homes.
Growing up in a family of carpenters and excavators, Tommy entered the industry with a vast knowledge of construction.
“The freedom of creativity due to the landscape here in the mountains and being surrounded by an extremely creative subcontractor team are the things I love most about being a building contractor in North Georgia,” says Tommy.
When he’s not in the field bringing cutting-edge landscapes and rustic modern interiors to life, Tommy finds inspiration on YouTube, does home tours across the country and, most importantly, collaborates with his team of talented subcontractors.
According to Tommy, Wosyluk Construction’s most defining characteristic lies in the functional yet inviting design each space encapsulates. They have spent years perfecting this style, which is why so many Blue Ridge homeowners turn to them time and time again.
Wosyluk Construction is one of eight builders in the Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes (blueridgeparadeofhomes.com), each bringing its unique style and character to the region.
A Marietta native born into the world of performing arts, Shuler Hensley, is a multi-award-winning Broadway, OffBroadway, film and television actor. Though the Tony Award winner has played many roles on stage, his work with students back home at the City Springs Theatre Company is the highlight of his career.
“I am most fulfilled when I mentor and coach young performers through my work at CSTC, the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Shuler Awards), and numerous master classes throughout the country,” says Shuler. “To impact tens of thousands of students over the last decade has been an absolute joy.”
The Shuler Awards, a Tony-esque experience and televised award show for high school musical theatre programs across the state, is Shuler’s lasting legacy. The annual award show is hosted by Shuler himself at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre to support and encourage regional high school students in their pursuit of the arts.
Shuler works directly with youth and other local talents daily as the Artistic Director at CSTC, where he has worked to make connections between the Broadway community and his home stage here in Sandy Springs. He draws much of his inspiration for his own acting work from the budding young artists, musicians and actors he mentors.
“It reminds me of the power of the Arts, not only for communities, but for individuals,” he says.
Shuler personally invites all members of the Cobb County community to witness a show for themselves and watch these talented young actors and actresses in action.
“There is nothing in our community that inspires, unites, and reenergizes a group of people like the performing arts. Experiencing live theatre together brings the whole community together. It helps us celebrate all the joys there are in being human.” - Shuler Hensley
Lance Cantrell’s work on golf courses started in 1986 at the PineIsle Resort on Lake Lanier. However, it took years and a series of high school and football sports careers before he finally settled on golf as his passion. He grew up working as a cart attendant and playing golf, football, and track and field. After his first year playing football as a Georgia Bulldog, he shifted his focus and pursued golf full-time.
“My grandmother once told me, ‘Find something you love to do and go do it,’ I loved working in golf so…the rest is history,” says Lance.
With an incredible team of people behind him and an environment that felt like home, his decision to join the team at Indian Hills Country Club was an easy one. The Annual Indian Hills Pro Member Golf Classic holds a special place in his heart for the impact and funds it has generated for military men and women. Lance’s involvement and dedication to the tournament earned him the Patriot Award from the Georgia Section of the PGA in 2019, a recognition of patriotism and unwavering commitment to veterans through golf.
“This event is near and dear to me,” explains Lance. We strive to improve every year and are always looking for partners to help us in this worthwhile cause.”
“My grandmother once told me, ‘Find something you love to do and go do it,’ I loved working in golf so…the rest is history.”
Outside of his work and fundraising efforts, Lance volunteers as a Creekview High School Track and Field coach, works on his golf swing and, at the core of everything, is a family man. He champions his wife, Amy and two children, Jake (22) and Allison (18), in all their athletic, personal and career endeavors while always making strides in his own.
market headlines are everywhere. Many are quite sensational...boldly predicting impending
1 in 4 people still believe home prices will go down, with many of these opinions resulting from misconstrued headlines and internet gossip.
The data shows that, as a whole, home prices rose over the past year. Case Shiller, explains it like this, “Month-overmonth numbers were relatively flat, . . . However, the annual growth was more significant for both indices, rising 7.4 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively.”
If you have questions about what’s happening with home prices in our area, let’s chat.
Year after year, Visit Marietta showcases the city’s culinary delights in the heart of downtown Marietta. But the Taste of Marietta is more than a celebration of food. It garners a sense of community and honors Marietta’s rich heritage in a union of fun, food and festivities.
The festival’s first year, dating back to 1993, was more of a humble gathering than the massive foodie convention it resembles today, but it started the legacy. Theresa Jenkins, former director of the Marietta Visitors Bureau, was the visionary leader behind what would become one of Marietta’s most beloved traditions.
“Over the years, we have added more restaurants, longer hours of live music and expanded the Kids Alley,” says Gina Duncan, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Visit Marietta. “The newest addition is a chef spotlight stage with live demonstrations by top local chefs.”
This year, 46 restaurants and 10 food trucks attended the festival as vendors and four local chefs appeared for live demonstrations. Among the crowd favorites were Hamp & Harrys, Loco 4 Lucuma Ice Cream, The Freakin Incan, Silla del Toro, EggRoll Boyz and BBQ joints Dave Poe’s and Williamson Bros. Beyond food, this year’s event also hosted local musicians from a range of genres from rock to soul to jams of the 80s and 90s.
Though Taste of Marietta has warped into something much bigger and more meaningful than the small gathering it started as over the years, the community has always remained at the center of its purpose. With everything from Southern cuisine to international flavors, it showcases Marietta’s variety of cultures and culinary traditions, gives local businesses a platform to reach the rest of the community and creates lasting memories for all that attend.
“Taste of Marietta is more than just a food festival; it’s a celebration of our shared love for good food, great music, good company, and our beloved Marietta community,” says Gina. “I look forward to the Taste of Marietta every year. It has become a family tradition.”

THE PAW PAW BROWN PROJECT
The ad said, "1969 Bronco for sale." Upon closer inspection, members of the Georgia Broncos Club discovered this was more than a classic car. It once belonged to Phillip “Paw Paw” Brown, a devoted family man and Bronco enthusiast.
His wish was to restore the cherished vehicle to its original glory so that his daughter Kymberly Matthews and grandchildren Zack Smith and Kylie Elliot could enjoy it for years to come. Sadly, Paw Paw passed away before fulfilling this dream, leaving the Bronco abandoned behind his home.
“When I think about my daddy there are a lot of things that come to mind, but the Bronco is in the forefront,” says Kymberly. “He loved that vehicle and was always doing something with it up until the day he left this earth.”
Faced with the harsh reality of limited resources and expertise, his family reluctantly decided to part with it. Little did they know this decision would spark a wave of compassion and support from an unexpected source.
Georgia Broncos Club founder Brian LaFluer couldn’t stand by idly. He assembled a team of members, volunteers and sponsors to save the vehicle. “This is far beyond the typical restoration project,” says Brian. “The emotional connection runs deep and we wanted to help keep the Bronco in the family.”
Lead builders Gabe and Erin Donnelson of Strange Klassics Garage eagerly took on the project. They explain, “The goal was not just to restore a vehicle, but to revive the spirit of someone special and give the family more beautiful memories with it.”

The Bronco required extensive work to bring it back to life, including metalwork, rust repair, engine refurbishment and a complete overhaul of the vehicle's systems. The team restored it and documented the journey in a five-part video series produced by Tran Bui Productions, which can be seen on the group's YouTube channel, website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
The revised Bronco was revealed and presented to the family at a special event hosted by Deep Roots Wine Market and Tasting Room in Roswell earlier this month. Paw Paw was a Scout leader for over 30 years and loved camping trips. Kymberly plans to take the Bronco to his favorite campsite on its first drive.
“We are overwhelmed and forever grateful to the Georgia Broncos Club community for their kindness and graciousness,” Kymberly says. “It's never easy to lose someone, especially your daddy, best friend and hero, so having this Bronco feels like part of him is with me.”
