Beyond providing quality workmanship and comprehensive design/build services, we strive to build a relationship of mutual trust and confidence with each of our clients’ large and small. We accomplish this by putting your priorities first and conducting ourselves with integrity in every aspect of our business

During July, we like to focus on summer and all the exploring that comes with more relaxed schedules and extra hours of daylight, which is why we’d like to draw your attention to the Calendar of Events section of our magazine. Each month, we share exciting opportunities for you to experience new and fun things in the CSRA, and this month is packed full of great events!

The CSRA has so much to offer and a big part of that is because of companies like SRP Federal Credit Union who pour into our community in so many ways. SRP Community Impact Manager Lonzo Smith gives us an in-depth look at why community involvement is a priority for SRP and what events are coming up soon.
As we spend more time outside at events, parks, in our yards, at the lake, or by the pool, bugs and mosquitoes can really put a damper on our fun. We were excited to learn about Katie’s Clean Creations, a local business that has all-natural bug repellant products that actually work! Owner Diana Shea shares the story about what prompted her to explore new ways to protect her family from unwanted pests outdoors.
We’re also thrilled that we caught up with David Hodges, co-owner of the Augusta Lynx hockey team, to get an insider perspective on bringing hockey back to Augusta. David shares the heart behind why he and co-owner Tim Tebow are so excited about what this means for families and hockey fans in the CSRA.
Lastly, grief is such a personal experience, and everyone processes it differently. Our family has experienced so much loss over the last few years. So, when Barry Tutt told us the story of losing his daughter, Nylah, and how he paired up with All About Trucks & Autos to finish restoring Nylah’s Jeep, we knew we had to share it with you. What a special way to honor the memory of someone so loved and cherished.
As always, we hope that what you read in our magazine will inspire you to live life to its fullest and get out and enjoy our amazing community.

Winnipeg in the winter, and a 17-year-old waits 45 minutes in the cold for Keanu Reeves. Her fingers are numb. She is not there for an autograph. She is there to ask him to appear in her audition tape for MuchMusic, Canada’s MTV. When he finally agrees, she writes her number on a gum wrapper with a borrowed lip liner.
He calls days later.
That 17-year-old was Jen Cohen — fitness expert, host of the Habits & Hustle podcast, and best-selling author. She has built a career on the premise her frostbitten afternoon proved. She calls the practice the 10% Target: 10 attempts at whatever you want most in life.
The premise is simple. Most people never make one attempt. Almost nobody makes two. The math works in favor of the person who keeps going.
The top-rated Habits & Hustle podcast has logged hundreds of conversations with high performers and the people who study what the body does to the mind. Her TEDx talk, The Secret to Getting Anything You Want in Life, has traveled widely inside Fortune 500 sales-training rooms. On the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Cohen sits down to share the working rules that are the foundation of her latest book, Bigger, Better, Bolder.
“You have to be the CEO of your own life.”

The door opens, or another door does. The unmade attempt and the refused one leave you in the same place — except one of them teaches you something.
Cohen frames her habits as a wager: How do I stack the deck so I win more than I lose? The workout happens first, and the food decisions follow. The email follow-up gets sent, and the answer arrives. The choices compound in a single direction.
3
No one is born with it. The people who look disciplined are running a routine they have rehearsed long enough that it no longer feels like effort. The reps are the skill. Miss them, and the skill fades, the same as any other.
4
Confidence does not arrive by repeating the word. It arrives after the body has done the thing — the workout finished, the cold walk endured, the email sent. The mind takes its cues from what the body proves it can do. Talk follows action, not the other way around.
5
The first decision sets the slope of the rest. Skip the Monday workout, and the rest of the week tends to follow. Hold the line on Monday, and the slope tilts the other way.

ARTICLE BY JANA MORRIS
“Yes, there’s a dive shop in Harlem.” For a decade, that playful catchphrase served as a gentle challenge to anyone doubting that a thriving underwater community could bloom in a landlocked Georgia town. From training students in local lakes and backyard pools to building an inseparable local dive family, Bubbles or Not has always proven that big dreams can start in small places. Today, that small-town dream is officially crossing the Pacific.

Rose Bennett, owner of Bubbles or Not, recently returned from a historic trip to Santa Ana and the Province of Cagayan, specifically the municipalities of Calayan, Claveria, and Santa Praxedes, where she met with local leaders and the governor of the Philippines to seal an international expansion. Reflection on her visit left Rose full of profound gratitude. “Though my time was brief, it was rich with purpose, inspiration, and the promise of meaningful partnerships,” Rose shared. “I leave with renewed faith and excitement, trusting that the plans we are sowing together will flourish.”
For Rose, a Cagayano herself, this monumental international expansion is a deeply personal homecoming. It is a strategic vehicle to create sustainable tourism and vital job opportunities for her native community, putting Cagayan on the global map as a premier diving destination.
Yet, as the business extends its reach into the crystal-clear waters of the world’s premier ocean ecosystem, Rose’s deep commitment to her CSRA family remains entirely unchanged. Instead, this venture builds a direct, seamless bridge from Georgia to paradise. Traveling halfway across the globe can feel intimidating, but Bubbles or Not is eliminating that barrier by introducing exclusive, guided group travel packages. CSRA residents will soon have the unparalleled opportunity to complete their classroom and pool training right here at home, then jet off to explore the vibrant coral reefs of the Philippines alongside the familiar, trusted faces of their local dive team.
Crucially, the shop’s signature purpose-driven community work is going international, too. Rose intends to expand her local healing initiatives, including vital

youth development programs and therapeutic dive experiences alongside veteran groups like Undersea Warriors, directly into the Philippine coastal regions. “The ocean has an incredible way of leveling people,” Rose notes. “No matter where you’re from, what you’ve been through, or what language you speak.”
Looking back to 2016, Rose never envisioned managing a global enterprise. Her focus back then was simply on helping the next student earn their certification. Navigating this vast expansion required profound resilience, especially when moving forward to build a new chapter after the heartbreaking passing of her spouse and business co-founder, Bob.
Ultimately, this incredible journey serves as a powerful testament to the triumph of the human spirit. “Never let where you start determine how far you can go,” Rose says. “Dreams don’t have geographical limits.” By sharing her journey, Rose hopes people will see a story that transcends scuba diving. It is a story about honoring your roots, finding a second chance, and having the immense courage to pursue a vision larger than yourself. Yes, there is a dive shop in Harlem, and its beautiful spirit is officially changing lives around the world.

Excitement continues to build for hockey’s return to the CSRA
ARTICLE BY MICHELLE PARNELL
Hockey returns to the CSRA in the fall of 2027 when the Augusta Lynx, an affiliate of the NHL and AHL, will take to the ice and bring the much-loved sport back to the area.
The ECHL team’s season will run from October to April, which includes thirty-six regular season home games, and will call Augusta’s new downtown arena home.

Team owners Tim Tebow and David Hodges have been pouring time, energy, and funds into developing the team and getting the community excited about what this means for Augusta. “When you draw a 20-mile circle around the center of Augusta, there is over a half a million people here and they’re hungry for hockey,” shares David. “So, Augusta really was a no-brainer for us. We feel like it’s the right market to bring professional hockey back to and a bonus is that it’s close to our homes, so we can get back and forth to watch games and be a part of the community.”
During the initial stages of developing the team, they reached out to the community and asked for input on a team name and mascot. “We had an amazing response from the community on ideas for the team name,” says David. “The community really poured out en masse on their feelings, and we did our best to honor those suggestions.”
They also connected with other Augusta-based professional sports about the team’s logo and colors, which includes familiar shades of green and yellow often associated with Augusta, to promote continuity and positive camaraderie across the sports.
Tim and David, who are life-long friends and now business partners, are not new to hockey. They also co-own the Tahoe Knight Monsters, an ECHL team in Nevada, but the teams will be in different divisions. Although the men would love to see both teams play one another in the playoffs, their real heart behind the teams is to provide communities with a positive environment and great place to spend time together.
“Our goal is to create family friendly entertainment. You won’t find anything that’s offensive to families at our games and we’re going to make it affordable and fun,” says David. “But, if you know Tim at all, you know we also want it to be competitive. We want to be a part of the community and
make it a place where families are comfortable coming and where diehard hockey fans will also appreciate it because of the quality of hockey and the game day experience.”
Fans can see the Lynx by purchasing single game tickets or by taking advantage of season memberships and ticket packages. Younger fans can look forward to special games just for them. “We’re planning to do a school day game or two where we play at one o’clock and we invite all the local schools and the kids come out,” says David.
Giving back to the community, both locally and globally, is a priority for Tim and David. In addition to donating a portion of the proceeds to local charities, the team will participate in programs like Hockey is for Everyone.
The initiative strives to make hockey accessible for kids with disabilities and serve as an outreach to underrepresented and disadvantaged youth.
Another population who will greatly benefit from Augusta’s new team are those helped through the Tim Tebow Foundation. “Fighting for those MVPs is really why we get up every day and do what we do,” shares David. “It’s our why.” They do this by using profits from team to support the Tim Tebow Foundation, which is currently working in thirty-eight counties around the world to make a difference in the lives of so many.

ENJOY EXPLORING THE OUTDOORS THIS SUMMER BUG-FREE WITH THIS EFFECTIVE, NATURAL SOLUTION

“I’m a mom who wanted her children to enjoy the outdoors comfortably.”
Everyone in the CSRA knows all too well the struggle of fighting off mosquitoes and no-seeums while exploring the outdoors in the warmer months. Unfortunately, the difficulty of finding a natural bug spray that works effectively is also ever-present. For Diana Shea and her family, they know both issues too familiarly.
Ten years ago, while enjoying a fun family evening swimming in their backyard, a mosquito bit Diana’s daughter, Katie, and she experienced a painful allergic reaction that caused large welts. Diana was determined to keep Katie from experiencing that kind of pain again. “I turned first to natural alternatives. I bought sprays, bracelets, stickers, and yard treatments—anything that promised relief,” Diana shares. “None delivered the protection we needed.”
Even more determined to find a solution, Diana used her knowledge of several home remedies to

create something that would finally work. “I already spent time creating natural remedies to help soothe my son’s eczema, so I returned to what I knew best: experimenting in my kitchen,” Diana says. “I’m a real estate broker turned stayat-home mom who simply wanted her children to enjoy the outdoors comfortably again.” Miraculously, her first formula worked. Katie could now enjoy the outdoors without fearing painful reactions.
Soon, many of Diana’s friends and family were using her product. “Their encouragement inspired me to launch Buzz Blocker Mosquito & No-See-Um Repellent under the company name Katie’s Clean Creations,” Diana says. The company is named after Katie, who was not only the inspiration but also the one who proudly selected the name.
As more people bought and used Buzz Blocker, Katie’s Clean Creations gained faithful customers who discovered that the repellent was effective against more than just mosquitoes and no-see-ums. “Many customers report success against horseflies, ticks, and even fire ants,” Diana explains. She’s proud to have created something that has gone so far and helped so many. “Sometimes the most meaningful innovations don’t come from laboratories or large corporations,” she says. “They come from ordinary families, a little determination, and the belief that children should be able to enjoy the outdoors comfortably and confidently.”
Buzz Blocker is now sold in three forms—spray, roll-on, and tallow-based cream—online at KatiesCleanCreations.com and in select stores, including Good Earth Produce and Garden Center in Augusta. Even after growing in popularity, Buzz Blocker is still made with organic ingredients and a nontoxic formula like when it was first created in Diana’s kitchen.

When Barry Tutt thinks of his daughter, Nylah, he remembers her smile and her easy-going nature. “My daughter was a sweet girl who loved everybody,” shares Barry.
Nylah, who was born with a heart defect and other health complications, lived life to the fullest and brought so much joy to those around her. In September 2023, just as her family was planning her sixteenth birthday party, she died unexpectedly.
In preparation for Nylah turning sixteen, Barry had secretly purchased a Jeep Wrangler to fix up and surprise Nylah with on her birthday. “My daughter used to talk about Jeep Wranglers all the time. Every time we’d see one when we were out driving, she’d tell me that’s what she wanted,” he shares. “So when she turned fifteen, I went ahead and got it for her, but she didn’t know about it. I put it in my garage and started working on it, but unfortunately, she was never able to see what I had planned.”
Barry started by finding the new tires and rims he wanted along with having Fast Signs place Nylah’s name, handprint, and logo on the Jeep in her favorite colors of pink and purple.
BARRY TUTT TEAMED UP WITH ALL ABOUT TRUCKS & AUTOS TO CREATE THE JEEP OF HIS LATE DAUGHTER’S DREAMS
Then, he sought out All About Trucks & Autos to finish transforming the Jeep into the vehicle Nylah always wanted.
“We did a suspension lift kit which raises the Jeep up to accommodate the larger tires he wanted put on,” explains Daniel Morris, owner of All About Trucks & Autos. “We also installed new bumpers. The one on the rear is special because all Jeeps have spare tires on the back, but if you get a certain size tire, the regular tire bracket won’t hold it. So we put on a bumper with a tire holder combo to hold the larger tire.”
They also customized the fender liners with upgraded metal, installed a light bar on the front bumper, and fitted the Jeep with a rough country steering stabilizer that makes for smoother handling when driving with big wheels.
Whenever Barry isn’t driving his work truck for his business Forever15 Roadside Service, renamed from B&K Roadside Service in honor of Nylah, he enjoys driving the Jeep around town and keeping the memory of Nylah alive. “I love the Jeep and I love everything they did to it. I never imagined it would

look that good. They made sure that they did everything perfectly,” says Barry. “It means a lot to me that I get to drive the Jeep because it’s like she’s with me every day. People in our town know about Nylah’s Jeep and that means the world to me.”
For Daniel and the team at All About Trucks & Autos, being part of projects like this is deeply meaningful. “We have a lot of people who, when their parents or a relative die, want to preserve a vehicle or maybe just upgrade it so they can keep it in the family instead of selling it,” says Daniel. “In this case, Barry wanted to fix up the Jeep in honor of his daughter, Nylah, and it’s such a touching story. When we do a job like this that means so much to a person because of why they’re doing it, and they are excited and happy about how it turns out, it’s so fulfilling.”

Exploring the many ways SRP Federal Credit Union invests in the people of the CSRA
ARTICLE BY MICHELLE PARNELL
PHOTOGRAPHY
PROVIDED
SRP Federal Credit Union plays a vital role in the CSRA by supporting local organizations and programs as well as hosting events. In this month’s Q&A, SRP Community Impact Manager Lonzo Smith provides insight into the values that drive SRP’s involvement in the community and what types of events are happening this summer.

SRP Ambassadors regularly contribute their time and talents through organized service days, nonprofit partnerships, mentorship programs, and community events.
Why is community involvement important to SRP?
Community involvement is foundational to SRP because we are not just a Credit Union, we are a neighbor, partner, and stakeholder in the wellbeing of the 10 counties we serve. Our success is directly tied to the strength and vitality of our communities. By investing time, resources, and expertise locally, we help create opportunities for growth, resilience, and long-term sustainability that benefit everyone.
How does giving back reflect SRP’s values and culture?
Giving back is a natural extension of SRP’s values. It reflects our commitment to service, integrity, and stewardship. Our culture emphasizes doing what’s right—not just in business, but in how we show up for people. Whether it’s supporting education, environmental initiatives, or community programs, our efforts demonstrate that we care about making a meaningful, lasting impact beyond our day-to-day operations.
How do employees participate in volunteer and outreach efforts?
SRP Ambassadors are deeply engaged in volunteerism and outreach. Ambassadors regularly contribute their time and talents through organized service days, nonprofit partnerships, mentorship programs, and community events. We encourage participation by providing opportunities throughout the year and fostering a workplace culture that values civic engagement. Many of our employees also take initiative personally, reflecting a shared passion for giving back.
What community partnerships has SRP cultivated over the years?
Over the years, SRP has built strong partnerships with a wide range of organizations, including local schools, nonprofit agencies, chambers of commerce, and civic groups. These collaborations focus on areas such as education, economic development,

environmental stewardship, and community health. By working alongside trusted partners, we amplify our impact and ensure our efforts are aligned with real community needs. A recent highlight, our Affinity Debit card program, is co-branded with 45 local high schools and Augusta Technical College. We have donated over $3 million dollars in unrestricted funds to affiliated schools.
What role does community involvement play in building relationships with customers?
Community involvement strengthens trust and deepens our connection with members. When people see SRP actively investing in the same neighborhoods where they live and work, it reinforces our commitment to their quality of life. These shared experiences create meaningful relationships, foster goodwill, and position SRP as more than a utility—rather, a dedicated partner in the community’s success.
What recent events has SRP sponsored?
SRP has maintained a strong and active presence in the community, with several impactful initiatives taking place just within the last few months. These include our popular Shred Fest, which helps community members safely dispose of sensitive documents, as well as continued support for organizations like Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Ronald McDonald House Charities, both of which provide critical assistance to families in need.
We’ve also invested in youth development and education through partnerships such as the Manhood/Womanhood Tour, which focuses on leadership and personal development for students, and financial education initiatives at USC Aiken and Augusta Technical College to help empower the next generation with essential money management skills. Additionally, SRP has supported healthcare efforts through involvement with the Cancer Center, reinforcing our commitment to community wellness.
These efforts are powered by our dedicated team— our SRP Ambassadors, who have collectively contributed more than 4,000 volunteer hours in 2025 alone. Their passion and service are a driving force behind the impact we’re able to make across the region.
What upcoming community initiatives and events is SRP sponsoring?
This summer, we will continue hosting our Wills & Trust Seminars, which provide valuable guidance to individuals and families on estate planning and

Community involvement is foundational to SRP because we are not just a Credit Union, we are a neighbor, partner, and stakeholder in the wellbeing of the 10 counties we serve.

financial preparedness. These sessions are a key part of our effort to empower members to make informed decisions for their future.
We are also proud to support youth leadership and development opportunities such as Palmetto Boys State, where students gain firsthand experience in civic engagement, as well as our involvement with the NASA Astro STEAM Camp, which inspires students to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
In addition, SRP participates in impactful community gatherings like the UNITY Men’s Breakfast and local Juneteenth celebrations, where we engage with community members, foster connections, and promote financial wellness resources.
We are especially excited about programs like our DIG (Dreams, Imagination, and Gift) Development Program, which is designed to help individuals recognize and build on their personal and professional potential.
Finally, we support important causes through events such as Step Up Against Cancer, reinforcing our commitment not only to financial health but to the overall well-being of the communities we serve.
