One Year, One Vision, and a Community That Showed Up.

One year. Thirteen covers. And a community that showed up in ways I never could’ve imagined.

Centennial City Lifestyle started as a vision, just an idea rooted in connection, storytelling, and amplifying the good that already exists in our city. When I took the leap, only a few truly saw what I was trying to build. Now, a year later, the vision is a reality… and a movement.

From day one, I wanted this publication to be more than pretty pages. Now, we’re taking it 3D! Through events, collaborations, and real-world connections where everyone starts to know everyone. That’s always been the goal: to create meaningful connection: between neighbors, between businesses, and between the people who serve and support this community.

We drive past each other every day. We scroll endlessly. But Centennial deserves more than passive moments. It deserves to be seen.

The businesses in these pages are more than advertisers, they’re the heart of Centennial. From home pros to med spas, restaurants to real estate experts, they show up because they live here. They believed in this vision early, and they continue to invest, consistently and authentically.

To every business that’s taken the leap with me, thank you. You’re not just featured in this magazine... you are the magazine. And to our readers: these businesses believe in you and in this city, just like I do.

This month, we're celebrating our Explore Issue,  diving into everything Centennial and beyond. It’s the perfect time to discover something new, revisit something familiar, and see your community with fresh eyes.

We’ve made waves… and we’re just getting started. Come Celebrate our 1 year celebration, July 24th from 3-6pm at The Rouge: Whisky and Wine Bar!

With endless gratitude,

July 2025

EXPLORE SHAKESPEARE IN THE WILD

Many don’t know there’s a secret hidden in a field in the South Suburbs,  a secret filled with joy, storytelling, and community. It began, fittingly, with exploration: a morning jog, a familiar path, and an unexpected question, what if?

Centennial resident Leigh Miller asked himself that very question nearly 15 years ago. Jogging along the Highline Canal, he noticed a pair of trees nestled in a quiet field and imagined a stage beneath them. A father of two young boys, Leigh was always looking for affordable, enriching entertainment close to home. In that moment, he saw a chance to create something magical.

That vision became Shakespeare in the Wild (SITW), Centennial’s only professional theatre company. Now entering its fourth season, SITW brings FREE classical theatre to life in an open-air setting, making Shakespeare accessible, joyful, and relevant for all ages.

This season, SITW brings new life to a timeless tale with Romeo and Juliet: A Gen Z/Alpha Edition — a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s iconic love story. Infused with the voice and vibe of today’s youngest generations, this adaptation explores the universal themes of love, identity, and

Centennial’s own Shakespeare in the Wild debuts a daring new Romeo and Juliet, blending timeless drama with Gen Z energy in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting.

rebellion in a way that speaks to modern audiences while staying true to the Bard’s poetic heart. Expect sharp humor, raw emotion, and a few unexpected twists,  all performed under the open Colorado sky.

But SITW is more than just theatre, it’s a gathering place. Families bring picnics, kids run barefoot between scenes, and strangers become neighbors as they laugh, cry, and cheer together. The atmosphere is casual, the artistry is top-tier, and the memories are lasting.

In a world that moves fast, Shakespeare in the Wild invites us to slow down, look around, and rediscover wonder right in our own backyard.

So if you haven’t stumbled upon it yet, consider this your invitation to explore. You might just find magic between the trees.

SWING INTO SOMETHING

NEW: DISCOVER THE LOCAL DRIVE HANGAR AT STANLEY MARKETPLACE

Just a short drive from Centennial, The Local Drive Hangar at Stanley Marketplace in Aurora offers a fresh take on entertainment, blending the precision of golf with the ambiance of a chic lounge.

As Colorado’s first multi-level indoor golf facility, The Local Drive Hangar boasts 12 Trackman-powered bays, allowing guests to play over 300 legendary courses, including iconic PGA Tour stops. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a curious newcomer, the games and challenges cater to all skill levels. For those looking to improve their swing, professional services like club fittings and lessons with an in-house PGA professional are available.

But this new location is more than just a bigger version of their existing spaces—it’s a bold evolution of the brand. “This location shows the natural growth of our company and brand,” says the team behind The Local Drive. “It embodies our ethos of providing a platform to highlight all the great local brands Colorado has to offer—and because of its size, it allows us to do that to a greater extent than our other locations.”

In fact, The Local Drive Hangar is now Colorado’s largest indoor golf facility. “I am incredibly proud of it,” they shared. “This is the culmination of everything our team has been striving for. We are the first double-decked Trackman facility in the world and one of the biggest indoor golf brands in the United States.”

So what sets Trackman technology apart? It’s the gold standard in golf simulation. “It’s the only system using both radar and visual recognition for each swing,” they explain. “Its unmatched accuracy even enabled NCAA teams to compete remotely during COVID.” The venue blends this cutting-edge precision with a welcoming, lounge-style vibe. “We focus on fun and inclusivity, but our oversized bays and custom-built computers ensure serious players get top-tier performance too.”

Beyond golf, the venue features two full-service cocktail bars spotlighting premium spirits from over 200 Colorado brands, including favorites like Branch & Barrel Distillery, Launch Pad Brewery, Lalo Tequila, The Heart Distillery, Stranahan’s, and Telluride Brewery.

Outdoors, the fun continues on an 8,500 square foot patio with sand volleyball courts and regular live music on weekends. “We see this becoming a true community gathering spot—especially in summer,” they said. “Its size lets people relax and enjoy amenities the neighborhood has been missing.”

Regular programming includes monthly golf tournaments, free play competitions, volleyball leagues Sunday through Thursday, and special events.

Need a spot for your next big bash? With over 10,000 square feet indoors, the venue is designed for modular flexibility—everything from 450-person concerts to 1,000-guest weddings, and even a Caterpillar event showcasing remote-operated heavy machinery using their golf bays. “There’s no ‘standard’ event here—we built this place to adapt.”

For golf fashion lovers, the in-house ParHopper store brings fresh, local style to the game. “Collaborating with local companies like ParHopper is a core tenet of our brand,” they emphasized. “We want guests to leave not only entertained, but also having discovered another amazing Colorado business.”

The Local Drive Hangar isn’t just a new location—it’s a destination. A place where golf meets lifestyle, local meets luxe, and community meets creativity.

DISCOVER HOW EXPERTLY CRAFTED WATER FEATURES BRING PEACE, BEAUTY, AND BALANCE TO YOUR BACKYARD.

ARTICLE BY DANIELLE VONFELDT

At JRM Landscape & Design, the art of outdoor living is reimagined through expert craftsmanship and a deep reverence for nature. Specializing in custom water features and landscape construction, JRM brings movement, serenity, and elegance to every space it touches. With a keen eye for design and a commitment to quality, the team masterfully blends artistry with engineering, creating environments that are both functional and breathtaking.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY AQUASCAPE & JARED JENSEN

“SMALL BUT MIGHTY, FOUNTAINSCAPES BRING CHARM AND TRANQUILITY TO PATIOS, GARDENS, OR ENTRYWAYS”

As a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC), JRM holds one of the highest distinctions in the water gardening industry. This certification signifies an elite level of training, education, and dedication to excellence. CACs are known not only for their superior workmanship but also for their commitment to low-maintenance water features, stellar customer service, and a community-driven approach that places high standards at the forefront of every project.

This season, JRM is highlighting three distinct types of water features that exemplify their design versatility and thoughtful execution. Each one transforms an

ordinary yard into a peaceful retreat, inviting homeowners to reconnect with nature and unwind in their personal oasis.

FOUNTAINSCAPES

Small but mighty, fountainscapes bring charm and tranquility to patios, gardens, or entryways. These decorative features, ranging from bubbling urns to container water gardens and spitters, add soothing sound and visual interest. Ideal for bird lovers and those with compact spaces, fountainscapes offer a touch of water’s magic without the footprint of larger installations.

PONDLESS® WATERFALLS

For homeowners who love the sight and sound of cascading water but are concerned about space or safety, Pondless® Waterfalls offer the perfect solution. These disappearing waterfalls and recirculating streams provide all the sensory benefits of a water feature without the need for a full pond. Low-maintenance and endlessly beautiful, they bring natural elegance and motion to any landscape, no pond required.

KOI AND ECOSYSTEM PONDS

There is something timeless about the allure of a koi pond. These living water features don’t just beautify a yard, they create a space for gathering, relaxing, and recharging. Ecosystem ponds mimic the balance found in nature, supporting fish, frogs, birds, and aquatic plants. Each pond becomes a thriving habitat that invites families to unplug and step into a different world, one of calm, connection, and wonder.

JRM Landscape & Design believes that outdoor spaces should inspire year-round enjoyment. From concept to completion, their team transforms landscapes into personal sanctuaries where nature, water, and design exist in perfect harmony. They don’t just install water features, they create places of peace. Let JRM turn your backyard into a living paradise.

EXPLORE VANILLA'S BOLD SIDE

FELENĒ’S VANILLA ICE CREAM VODKA TRANSFORMS A NOSTALGIC TREAT INTO A SMOOTH, GROWN-UP INDULGENCE.

ARTICLE AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY DANIELLE VONFELDT

FELENĒ VANILLA ROOT BEER FLOAT

Felenē’s Vanilla Ice Cream Flavored Vodka is a masterful blend of nostalgia and sophistication. Crafted with real vanilla and distilled from organic sugarcane, this vodka offers a smooth, creamy mouthfeel complemented by a rich vanilla bean aroma, all without added sweeteners or artificial additives. It brings both character and versatility to any cocktail.

This refined vodka is the perfect base for an adult root beer float, transforming the soda fountain classic into a grown-up indulgence. The combination of velvety vanilla, fizzy root beer, and creamy ice cream strikes a decadent balance that feels both playful and polished. Here’s a recipe to indulge in:

INGREDIENTS

• 2 oz Felenē Vanilla Ice Cream Flavored Vodka

• 1 scoop premium vanilla ice cream

• 6 oz high-quality root beer

DIRECTIONS

1. Chill a tall glass in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

2. Pour in the Felenē Vanilla Ice Cream Flavored Vodka.

3. Add root beer and gently stir.

4. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

5. Serve immediately with a straw and spoon.

DEBUNKING THE SWEET MYTH:

WHAT VANILLA VODKA REALLY TASTES LIKE

There’s a common misconception about vanilla-flavored vodka—it must be overly sweet, artificial, or cloying. Many think of sugary dessert liqueurs or syrupy cream spirits that overwhelm the palate. But Felenē Vanilla Ice Cream Vodka breaks the mold.

Despite its indulgent name, this spirit delivers surprising restraint. Crafted with purity and intention, it’s free from added sweeteners or artificial flavors, allowing the natural vanilla essence to shine. The flavor is smooth and creamy, with warm vanilla bean notes that feel luxurious, not sticky or overpowering.

It offers an elegant aromatic profile and a clean finish, making it ideal for sipping neat or mixing into inventive cocktails. And yes, if you’re feeling nostalgic, it creates an irresistible base for an adult root beer float.

Of course, once you pair it with real vanilla ice cream, all bets are off. Then, you’re in for a full-blown indulgence that embraces its dessert roots, in the most delightful way.
