Kick off your journey to timeless well-being with Vessel Longevity + IV Bar
Before becoming an accomplished orthopedic surgeon and medical director, Dr. Emeka Ofobike was simply passionate about science. As a child, he was fascinated by how things worked mechanically, often dismantling toys and gadgets to resemble them and see if they would function again.
Influenced by his tennis player father, Emeka also grew up as an athlete. After his father tore the cartilage in his knee, it was 16-year-old Emeka driving him to the surgery center and watching the procedure from a screen in a separate room. From there, his interest in orthopedics was sparked.
“I thought it was the coolest thing I’d ever seen,” says Emeka. “Six weeks later, he was back on the tennis court and I knew that’s what I wanted to do for my career—help active people get back to being active.”
Emeka went on to earn his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and served as a surgeon in the U.S. Navy. In 2019, fellow Navy veteran Dr. Michele Cox founded the first Vessel IV Bar in New Mexico, and encouraged Emeka to bring it to Austin. He immediately dived into the literature, driven once more by his father, who had years before been diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s. Committed to education, Emeka strives to make effective therapies accessible and eliminate the misconceptions that come with them.

In 2020, Vessel’s Cedar Park location opened, expanding from just vitamin IVs and shots to more comprehensive holistic care. Cuttingedge services consist of hormone replacement, stem cell and PRP treatments, biohacking treatments, and CBD IVs to support sleep and immunity. Vessel even has the innovative wellness technology of the BioCharger, which delivers subtle, natural energies directly to your cells to optimize cellular function and allow your body to heal.
“Our choices of services are inspired by the knowledge that healthy aging is possible if we help our bodies do what they were designed to do: heal and repair,” says Emeka. “Health and wellness is an ongoing practice. It’s forward-looking, not, ‘Oh, I’m sick or broken and need to be fixed.’ We’re looking for people to come in and establish that ongoing practice to maintain their health and wellness.”
Emeka and his team of licensed medical professionals—currently four RNs and an EMT—offer special weekly discounts to support the community. These include Heroes Appreciation
Day on Tuesdays, IV Happy Hour on Wednesdays, and Teacher
Appreciation Day on Thursdays.
“I’ve had several clients with debilitating knee or shoulder pain who have returned after stem cell or shockwave therapy reporting that they are pain free and back to their recreational activities. This always brings me back to why I got into orthopedic medicine in the first place,” says Emeka. “But I would say the most rewarding experience so far has been one of our BioCharger clients with cancer reporting back to us after three months of treatment saying that his scans were clear and he was in remission. We were all celebrating that day.”
Whether it’s reaching goals for weight, activity, or overall wellness, Emeka takes great pride in enabling clients to achieve true balance through customized treatment plans.
“Our clients start to feel like family after a while,” says Emeka. “Vessel is a community of like-minded, healthy-lifestyle people. When clients strike up friendly conversations while getting IVs next to each other and share their wellness journeys, it’s a special connection.”

Find out how The League PAC(K) Training is actively changing lives through inclusive exercise
Terry and Ashley Williams were once college sweethearts at UT Austin. Fast forward, Terry was using his Master’s in Health and Human Performance at multiple Houston fitness studios, while Ashley tackled high-profile Wall Street deals as an investment banking analyst.
Despite loving the grind, Ashley dreamed of really helping people. After the two got married, she suggested combining their skills into The League PAC(K) Training, a hub for exercise and community impact.
“We built a business model during the Christmas holiday in 2012, started reaching out to family and friend investors, and The League opened its doors in December 2013,” says Ashley. “We’ve had countless testimonies of life changes from The League over the last 11 years. That’s what I was missing in New York.”
Now with three gyms, The League offers 45-minute, coach-led workouts for all fitness levels. First-timers are welcomed into a closeknit group cheering them on every step of the way, while modifying movements to meet their body’s needs.
“We get great reports from each location about people getting off of meds, receiving favorable doctor’s reports, and defeating depression. It’s amazing to see,” says Terry. “So many people are dropping fat, sculpting muscle, and improving in wellness and athletic performance. But many are also transitioning into a better state in their relationships, jobs, and mental health.”
“It’s truly an honor that God has blessed us to steward The League, and we give it our all,” says Ashley.
The co-founders enjoy stepping out of their leadership roles and onto the turf, experiencing the reps alongside members as fellow Leaguers. For them, it’s all about achieving unity.
“What we hope the Leaguers gain from their time here is lifelong friendships, a reframed mindset that has grit and resilience, and incredible opportunities to partner with us as we empower charities and support communities in need,” says Terry.
Celebrate the first anniversary of The League PAC(K) Training Cedar Park at 1717 Scottsdale Dr, Ste 110 on January 4th from 10 AM to 12 PM! And to book your workout, visit: packtraining.com

Steve Nay, Daybreak Tax daybreaktax.com
For strategic tax adviser Steve Nay, the key to conquering the new year is to keep it simple.
“Yes, tax-saving opportunities abound, from mainstream ones like S corporations and real estate depreciation to niche ones like the Augusta Rule. If they make business sense, then by all means, use them,” says Nay. “But don’t let the tail wag the dog—make the business case first and let the tax strategy follow.”
When buying a truck for your business, avoid doing it solely for the tax write-off. If you want to become an S corporation, ensure the added costs and complexity will make sense in the long run. And before hiring your kids, demonstrate that the business genuinely needs employees with their skills.
“My advice: consult with your tax adviser and consider big decisions deliberately, especially if they’re difficult to reverse,” says Nay. “Focus on first principles, get the business on solid financial footing, and let your tax strategy evolve as the business grows.”

Independent Financial Advisor Jeff Brecht believes the new year is the perfect time to review your portfolio. With the optimism of a fresh start, as you set new goals, it’s a great opportunity to assess whether your investments are on track.
“The holidays are busy, and not everyone has time for a year-end review,” says Brecht. “Early January, when things slow down a bit, is an excellent time to consider if rebalancing or repositioning to grab new opportunities for the year ahead aligns with your goals.”
What worked last year might not this year, so sitting down with your advisor is a smart way to check your accounts and make needed adjustments. Life happens fast. If you’ve experienced a major life event—such as a job change, a relocation, or have lost or are taking care of a loved one—reviewing the big picture can help you get off to the right start!
Owning gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins, bars, and rounds is a straightforward way to simultaneously hold property and money. As Jack Dempsey, President of 401 Gold Consultants, explains, this ownership is private, requiring no Social Security number.
“Gold and the other metals are no one’s liability. They cannot be printed until the purchasing power declines like paper money,” says Dempsey. “This ‘currency risk’ loses money! The longer you hold the paper dollar, the less it buys, and that ‘inflation’ is killing our financial future.”
This new year, consider an alternative to paper currency: U.S. legal tender precious metal coins. 401 Gold Consultants specializes in empowering clients to make well-informed decisions about these assets.
“As our tagline says, ‘Consult, Decide, Provide.’ We make it our business to consult first, decide after, and then provide the highest-quality U.S. precious metal coins right to your door,” says Dempsey.

FEEL COMFORTABLE AND EMPOWERED IN YOUR NEW WORKOUT
ROUTINE AT PURE
From running to dance, Dee Dee Vitek spent her life being active. She had tried out every workout there was, but following the birth of her second child, she sought an experience that was challenging yet modifiable for her postpartum body.
Enter: Pure Barre, a studio that fuses Pilates, yoga, and ballet.
“I took my first Pure Barre class in 2008 and never looked back. The technique was unlike anything I’d ever done,” says Vitek. “It was more than just an amazing workout; it also gave me a sense of peace. I walked out of every class feeling stronger both physically and mentally.”
One thing that drew Vitek to Pure Barre was its small group setting. It allows the team to truly connect with their first-timers and understand their personal goals.
Come 2013, she was utilizing her past experience instructing group fitness classes and training to become a teacher. And just under one year ago, she was fulfilling her dream of owning her second home, the Pure Barre Cedar Park studio.
“I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most
amazing women. We have laughed, cried, seen new babies enter the world, and watched other babies—including my own—head off to college,” says Vitek. “The friendships that happen within our four walls is what creates the place we call PBCP—aka, our happy place!”
For anyone starting out, Vitek recommends their Pure Engage™ introductory class. This 30-minute full-body workout encompasses all four class formats, focusing on low-impact, high-intensity movements to improve strength, agility, and flexibility.
“We welcome all, and we encourage each other to be the happiest, healthiest versions of ourselves,” says Vitek. “I hope that anyone who walks through our doors to take their first class feels supported no matter where they are in their fitness journey.”

REIMAGINE DENTAL CARE THROUGH COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS BY CEDAR PARK PREMIER DENTISTRY AND SMILEON ORTHODONTICS
The goal of every dental professional is to help you breathe, sleep, eat, and live better. For Cedar Park Premier Dentistry’s Dr. Tiffany Kondoff and SmileOn Orthodontics’s Dr. Akash “Doc Ak” Pandya, supportive referral partnerships are the cornerstone of exceptional patient care.
“We want to always send our patients to someone we trust and know will give the same care that we would,” says Kondoff. “Having those relationships allows us to communicate well and share the same goals for our patients.”
“These relationships support our long-term vision by allowing us to take a holistic approach to patient care,” says Doc Ak. “Orthodontics is often part of a larger dental health journey, and having stronger partnerships ensures that our patients’ needs are met every step of the way—from preventative care to final results and beyond.”
One patient who was seeking a full mouth restoration from CPPD found a healthier path, thanks to a collaborative approach. After addressing underlying issues like sleep apnea with recommended ENT specialist Dr. Oscar Tamez, SmileOn was able to begin orthodontic treatment to correct his bite.
The result? A confident, functional smile achieved without compromising the patient’s natural teeth. He continues with regular CPPD treatments.
“Dentistry isn’t just about what goes on in the mouth. There can be signs of other symptoms that are created by something else in our bodies,” says Kondoff. “Having our partnered specialists in our corner allows us to truly provide the best outcomes for our patients who we love so much.”
Both practices have faithful histories of serving Cedar Park. Recently, CPPD adopted a fresh new look in honor of Kondoff’s ownership, while SmileOn celebrated 10 years of building relationships with patients, their families, and referring dentists.
“Over the last decade, we’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people transform their smiles and, in turn, making a positive impact on their lives,” says Doc Ak. “Each person we’ve had the chance to serve has made this journey special, and every smile we’ve helped create has been a reminder of why we do what we do.”

It’s wellness and fitness January! 95% of New Year’s resolutions are fitness and weight loss-related. If that’s you, congratulations!
Yet, only 20% of people stick to their fitness goals for a year. Often joint, back, and knee pain slow or inhibit our fitness goals.
Janet Kieffer, founder of Youthing!, knows the frustration firsthand and wants Cedar Park and Leander to have pain-free fitness without drugs, surgery, or re-injury.
“I suffered from three years of searing knee pain. When flying, I would sit at the back of the aircraft and wait to deplane because retrieving my overhead luggage caused horrific pain,” says Kieffer.
“The orthopedic specialist’s recommendation was to break the bones in my ankle to resolve the knee pain.”
Janet’s suffering changed when a friend introduced her to a safe, non-invasive patch designed to activate her own stem cells—the master cells that repair and regenerate our body.
“I had no idea that our stem cells decline by 50% by age 40—and nearly 90% by age 60,” says Kieffer. “No doctor ever shared that stem cells decline in our 40s. Added to that, menopause accelerates bone and muscle loss in women! A triple-whammy!”
After trying the light therapy patch, Kieffer felt great relief. “Imagine my surprise when years of pain were resolved in four weeks—without breaking bones and without drugs. What a joy to get back to the gym without pain.”
In the following months, Kieffer noticed even more benefits. Blood tests revealed decreased inflammation and cholesterol levels. Fine lines and wrinkles disappeared. Hair growth increased and she was sleeping through the night again.
This wellness patch has helped not just Kieffer, but also folks of all ages wanting to be strong and mobile no matter their chronological age.
“It’s been rewarding to help so many people get out of pain, lose weight, and reach their fitness goals,” notes Kieffer. “I’m stronger, the tendons around my knee have been rebuilding and I can easily retrieve my luggage from the overhead bin on flights! If someone at age 45 started on these patches, they will continue to be healthy and strong beyond age 60.”
Learn more about Youthing’s advantages at: youthingnotaging.com
“Over time, the renewed stem cell activity increased my energy—that was a big one. Muscle tissue also increased and I grew stronger. But the unexpected bonus was how much my face changed! People slyly asked me, ‘Have you had a facelift? You look younger,’” says Kieffer.
