Ever wondered, how much do Fathers matter?
Let’s start with the simple answer — the importance of a father is tremendous. Fathers make countless differences in their homes and family. However, how much impact you decide to make as a dad is entirely up to you. A father’s gifts of quality time, life-giving words, and positive actions have a long-lasting impact on his children.
As I reflect on fatherhood this month, here are just a few of the ways dads can build up their homes:
• A father’s strength can be powerful.
• A dad’s words can be fueling and inspirational.
• Hugs from a dad can be deeply comforting.
• A dad’s smile can instill joy and confidence.
• Time with a dad can be fun and productive.
• A dad’s physicality can be challenging.
• A dad’s guidance can be life-changing and foundational.
• A father’s correction can be life-saving and life-giving.
• Adventures with a dad can be exciting and memorable.
Let your father, or a father figure in your life, know how much he matters to you. And if you’re a dad, let us be the first to say, thank you. You’re invaluable to the people who know and need you as well as the community around you.
“Dad: A son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.” Happy Father’s Day!

Two New Officers Join Brentwood Police Department

Brentwood Police Chief Richard Hickey swore in the department’s two newest police officers: Gage Hallman and Cody Hinson. Both men are beginning their police careers in Brentwood. Officer Hallman is a Mt. Juliet native, who spent six years in the U.S. Army. Power
Fulfilling Nashville's Need For Speed
ARTICLE BY DELIA JO RAMSEY

The sounds of live country cover songs and bachelorette shrieks are common for Nashville, but K1 brings a whole new element of sound to music city - the screeching tires of all-electric go karts, imported from Italy. K1 Speed is the world’s largest indoor go kart racing operator, and they opened a location in Nashville earlier this year. The facility is the first of its kind in the state of Tennessee, situated along the East Bank waterfront less than a mile from Nissan Stadium.
Founded in 2003, K1 Speed promises the fastest all-electric go karts imported from Italy, safe track barriers, plus a professionally designed indoor circuit. Visitors can also enjoy arcade games or food and drinks in the Paddock Lounge.

Will Power, partner of K1 Speed Nashville, is one of the greatest IndyCar drivers of all time. He’s collected two world championships and 68 pole
positions, surpassing Mario Andretti for the most of all time. He’s also racked up 41 wins, including the 2018 Indy 500 and 94 podiums. Several items from Will’s personal collection are showcased at K1 Speed Nashville in celebration of their partnership, including the 2006 Champ Car from Power’s "Rookie of the Year" season.
"Karting is one of the best forms of motorsports I have competed in," says Will. "It's where every IndyCar and F1 driver started their careers. I still race karts to this day, so I'm extremely excited to bring K1 Speed to Nashville."
Forget about the lawn mower-powered go-karts of your youth! K1's Europeanstyle 100% electric karts set the brand apart from competitors. These high-performance machines produce tremendous torque and horsepower from advanced electric motors. These zero-emission karts
outperform their gas-powered counterparts while being better for the environment, quieter, and arguably, easier to drive. Racers need not worry about stalling the engine or dropping out of the power band in a tight corner – the electric motors produce maximum torque at all speeds.
The world-class entertainment venue is designed to keep visitors engaged, both on and off the track. It's available for corporate functions and other groups, plus catering options, private room rentals, and custom race packages.
"I am incredibly excited to open this amazing center," says Founder/CEO David Danglard. "Not only am I proud to join the great Music City with its amazing culture and heritage, but to have a legendary driver like Will Power as a partner, it's simply a dream come true." K1Speed.com

Boutique Firm Stewards Legacies
Statistics indicate most American adults don't have estate plans, partially because they believe such steps will be exceedingly challenging to develop and partly because they envision such planning is associated with later stages of aging, such as post-retirement. However, estate plans are important to have in place earlier in life, so important in fact, one local law team specializes and excels in them.
When Russ Cook founded his Brentwoodbased law firm in 2007, he set out to handle the most complex estate, probate and business planning matters. Through 40-plus years of combined legal experience and certifications, his 10-member team at Cook Tillman Law Group now assists various types of Middle Tennessee clients, all while maintaining their utmost privacy.

Russ is joined by partners Josh Tillman and Alex Fasching.
Josh is recognized as an estate planning specialist by the Tennessee Board of Certification and Specialization and holds the Accredited Estate Planner and Estate Planning Law Specialist designations with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Josh advises clients on estate planning matters as well as closely held business owners regarding business succession.
Alex heads up the firm's probate department, helping families after they have lost loved ones. His multifaceted experience includes building a new law firm into a multistate probate litigation specialization firm. He obtained his law degree in Minnesota and is licensed in Tennessee.
“Tax laws evolve so quickly, we’re seeing an industry shift from general practitioners providing trusts and estates services to those who must specialize in this area of law,” Russ says. “Tennessee trust laws are so advantageous, it would be a disservice to not have the knowledge, and therefore the ability, to pass those benefits on to clients.”
Russ was the first attorney to be recognized as an estate planning specialist by the Tennessee Board of Certification and Specialization. Additionally, he holds the Accredited Estate Planner and Estate Planning Law Specialist designations with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. He’s also a member of the Middle Tennessee Estate Planning Council and the Tennessee Bar Association.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and his Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University, Washington, D.C. He also was enrolled in the International Business Studies program in Denmark.
Russ is also a frequent guest on the Retirement Report television show on News Channel 5 and has appeared on 99.7 WWTN, 1510 WLAC and 107.9 WMSR Radio.
Located at 5141 Virginia Way, Suite 220, in Brentwood, the Cook Tillman Law Group staff handles all aspects of estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney), supplemental needs planning, dynasty trust planning, charitable trust planning, probate and trust administration, will contests, business formation and business general counsel services. In addition to wills and trusts, they also assist with the varied details for establishing powers of attorney, living wills and conservatorships.
The lawyers there even lead complimentary seminars for clients, colleagues and the community. In fact, Russ and Josh are continuing education sponsors with Certified Financial Planners and so provide seminars eligible for continuing education credits.
“We strive to stay up-to-date on new estate planning trends and look forward to sharing that information with financial planners and others who benefit from the important details. We’re always open to questions from community advisers looking to provide comprehensive financial and estate planning services for their clients,” Russ says. “It’s a good arrangement.”
Russ says they understand and value everyone's confidentiality.
"Many of our clients are business owners, wealthy individuals, entertainers, and high-profile public figures, and we do all we can to protect our client's privacy as well as their interests."
“As specialists, we have the unique opportunity to offer a wide range of estate and business planning services, from basic wills for newlyweds and new parents to the most sophisticated plans for entertainers, entrepreneurs, blended families and non-traditional households,” he adds.
Clients indicate they appreciate the laser-like focus of this firm, bolstered by knowing Russ' father was in estate planning, as was his grandfather.

COMPREHENSIVE DENTISTRY
One size doesn't fit all when it comes to dentistry, affirms Dr. Will, indicating that by addressing each patient’s distinct needs, this compassionate dental staff is able to accommodate treatments with ease and precision through individualized, custom plans.

Cue up a sparkling smile gallery: The Burkitt Center dental practice team has served patients in Brentwood, Nolensville and the South Nashville area for more than three decades. "Kindness and compassion are at the forefront of our practice, so patients can rest assured we're their advocates and have their best interests at heart," says Dr. Will Jones, owner.
Fellow Burkitt Center dentist, Dr. Hayden Ray, adds they have a judgement-free office, understanding that sometimes life gets in the way of getting the dental care one needs. "Our goal is to establish a culture of friendship and inclusivity among our patients and staff. We're here to offer honest advice, recommend the best treatments, and support our patients in any way we can."
The practice's therapy dog, Bodie, also offers support and brightens the visits of patients.
"Although I considered other careers, I always came back to dentistry because I love that dental work gives me the ability to help people while working with my hands." ~Dr. Will Jones
Practice Makes Patients Feel Safe, Comfortable Due To Exceptional, Life-Changing Dental Care
As one patient who's terrified by dental situations, Allane W., stated online: "Dr. Jones makes me feel safe. I have never in my 42 years of life felt so comfortable with a dentist. He is kind. Calm. Gentle. And Bodie absolutely helps. Lol. I cannot thank Dr. Will enough."
Dentistry runs deep in Dr. Will's family. His sister is a dentist, his parents met in dental school, and his grandfather also was a dentist. He attended University of Miami for his undergraduate work before graduating from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014. He went on to complete his surgical and sedation residency at The Foundry AEGD in 2015. After completing his education, he began working at his father’s practice. When the time came, Dr. Will says he was honored to make the practice his own.
As a Nashville native, Dr. Hayden attended Lipscomb University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. With a special interest in dental implants and IV sedation, he completed the Foundry Dental Center residency program in Birmingham, Alabama, earning his Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
The Burkitt Center team provides the full spectrum of dental services, including preventive dentistry, implant dentistry, restorative assistance, IV sedation, oral sedation, veneers, implant-retained dentures, oral surgeries, Botox, emergency dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign applications, dental bonding, sleep apnea treatment and full-mouth rehabilitation.

Cutting-Edge Podiatry
TREAT FEET TO THE CARE THEY DESERVE
Brentwood-based podiatry specialists eagerly resolve a range of patients' feet-related health challenges at their office owned by Yerusalem Lanier, D.P.M., at 1001 Health Park Drive, Suite 330. David Farnen, D.P.M., especially treats diabetic patients, based on knowledge collected from his own research about effects of peripheral neuropathy on feet and ankles, plus his own condition with the illness.
David is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine with a subspecialty in limb salvage, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapies. He handles surgical and non-surgical foot/ankle care. He says he has a passion for dermatological pathologies, diabetic foot care, wound care and advanced technologies.
He completed a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and obtained his doctorate degree. He then completed his surgical residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical School together with the Sentara Hospital healthcare system. He's a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
"My famous, new technique of nail restoration and resurfacing creates a new medical grade nail over the ugly one," says David, who also does regenerative medicine and injections.

Additionally, Morgan Hubble serves as the clinic's ANCC board-certified family nurse practitioner.
This medical team also operates from four other offices: Skyline Hospital Medical Office Building, Central Nashville near Vanderbilt, Crossroads Medical, Pleasant View.

David Farnen, D.P.M.: "I chose podiatry because when I was able to shadow my mentor pre-medical school, I've never seen a doctor happier from doing what they love. And his patients were so happy to see him, too."
SHOULD BE A LUXURY EXPERIENCE BUILDING A LUXURY HOME

I would classify working with the Legend Homes team, from our initial concept meeting to completion, as my most seamless build. This is my seventh luxury home build experience and my favorite home to date. When dealing with hurdles brought on by the pandemic, the Legend group of professionals were always prepared to shift to ensure my dream home would be to my specifications — quite the feat when dealing with a noted perfectionist like myself who has high standards and discerning taste. Since my first visit to a Legend Parade home years ago, I knew we would work together in the future. I don’t believe there is much that could top this wellthought-out concept of a one-level living home and my great experience with Legend Homes.

LOCAL AUTHOR RELEASES SECOND BOOK IN DUOLOGY

JULIAN, TELL OUR READERS ABOUT YOURSELF!
I've been a creative writer for over a decade. At one point, my dream was to pursue filmmaking. I went to college for screenwriting. I quickly discovered how difficult it is to produce a film. So I pivoted to novel writing shortly thereafter. What's great about writing is that you only need a notepad and a pen. Anyone can realize a story on the page, and that's an invigorating thought.
YOU RECENTLY PUBLISHED THE RECALL PARADOX, THE SEQUEL TO THE MEMORY INDEX. WHAT'S THE DUOLOGY ABOUT?
The books take place in a reimagined 1980s where rapid memory loss has afflicted humanity. Five hundred teens are trialing a "super technology" at a boarding school that will supposedly mark a significant step forward in reclaiming agency over memory making. But, our quartet of heroes—led by the brave, empathetic Freya Izquierdo—quickly discover that Foxtail Academy harbors many secrets. The series has mystery, action, romance, and retro sci-fi tech.
“I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with some local filmmakers recently, and the creative process is VERY different.”
Chris Haggerty

“When I write my novels, I'm inside my head for so long, and it isn't until months later that I'll get feedback from my beta readers and editor. At the end of the day, I think my heart's really in novels.”

Reverence Bourbon
Michael Frazier's Unique Tennessee Bourbon

Michael Frazier, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, founded Reverence Bourbon in June 2020 as a way to pay homage to a life-changing childhood experience. His mother, serving in the military, was deployed for active duty after the events of September 11, 2001. His younger sister relocated to live with family, and Michael was raised by his brother, who gave up his high school football career to become his caretaker. While the experience was traumatic for Michael as a twelveyear-old, it forged a solid foundation for his work ethic today, teaching him to face challenges and adversity to reach success. With the creation of Reverence Bourbon, he envisioned developing a spirit that is enjoyable for both the casual drinker and more serious bourbon connoisseurs and creates an experience that adds a deeper purpose to celebrations. Reverence Bourbon is an exclusive Tennessee premium bourbon that’s true to the Volunteer spirit.
HELLO, MICHAEL, AND THANK YOU FOR CHATTING WITH US. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE YOUR OWN BOURBON?
It’s my preferred beverage when it comes to spirits. As I educated myself in the spirits space, I learned that bourbon is one of the more complex. Being from Tennessee, we’re more so known for whiskey. My creative juices started flowing, and I wondered what would happen if I created my own Tennessee bourbon. Therein lies my first step. My purpose was to create something unique and to bring something
different to the space, so I went ahead and pursued that avenue. There aren’t many bourbons classified as Tennessee bourbon. I wanted to be one of the first ones at the forefront of this space.
WHY DOES MAKING A GOOD QUALITY BOURBON TAKE SO LONG?
The rule of bourbon is that you have to use new barrels every time you age it. You can’t recycle any barrels involved in the previous barreling process. So every time I create a new batch, there are new barrels. I use charred oak, and that’s what makes it very, very unique. There are specific little details; if you pay attention as it sits on the palette, you can catch different notes. The good thing about bourbon is that it’s a drink to be sipped. I like to enjoy my bourbon; I don’t want to take shots or become inebriated. I want to enjoy the flavor and appreciate the taste and craftsmanship that goes into the creation. It’s an experience.
HOW LONG DO YOU AGE YOUR BOURBON?
For at least four years. Having two types of barrels from two different places in Tennessee creates my own unique taste and flavor. The good thing about Reverence is that my recipe can’t be replicated. It is trademarked and copyrighted, so I own everything about it. I use a craft distillery in south Nashville. I source another type of barrel from Columbia. Blending them creates my recipe.
ARTICLE BY MYRA SIMMONS MCENTIRE

WHAT LED YOU TO ARRIVE AT YOUR SPECIFIC TASTE PROFILE?
It was a lot of love and labor. I started the creation process in January 2018. For three years, I traveled around different distilleries, whiskey tours, and whiskey trails. I sampled around 300 bourbons, trying to get my palette to understand the complexities and the nuances, what ingredients give what flavors, and the bite on the back end. Bourbon has to be 51% corn. This is because the corn soaks up the flavor from the barrel. My recipe has about 70% corn, and that creates a lot of rich flavors. The corn-to-rye ratio is precise, with a touch of barley to give the premium oak flavor that bourbon aficionados desire. The tasting notes consist of the nose filled with caramel, maple, and kettle corn. The palate is flooded with chocolate, malt, and oak. The finish is smooth and refreshing with clean hints of fresh-cut spearmint.
STARTING A BUSINESS IS ALWAYS A RISK. YOU’VE BEEN SO SUCCESSFUL - TELL US WHAT YOUR DAYTO-DAY LOOKS LIKE.
I’ve done it all. In the beginning, I was my own books man, my own CPA, and my own marketing department. I was hands-on with the production with my distiller. Now I have a team, and it’s turned into a family business. My mother and

my brother are both on hand. We’re partnered with other distributors, and we just locked in a national distributing contract to sell directly to consumers online, so now we can ship out nationwide.
YOU FOUNDED THE BRAND IN 2020. WHEN DID IT OFFICIALLY LAUNCH?
We launched in 2021 in retail in eight counties in middle Tennessee. We celebrated our first anniversary this February. We were on a fifteen-month plan, and my first batch sold out in eight months, exceeding expectations. I believe in hard work and not cutting corners. I feel like I’m just scratching the surface and enjoying the ride.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND REVERENCE BOURBON?
I’ve expanded the brand into a lifestyle, including bourbon, cigars, and a merchandise line, and we’re launching an inflatable events space called Reverence Experience.

Created by Michael Frazier, Reverence Bourbon is curated from two different aged barrels, offering a master blend with a rich taste and a flavor that cannot be duplicated.

CertaPro Painters Can Boost Curb Appeal And Freshen Entire Interiors

Dylan Ritter, co-owner of CertaPro Painters of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, says he and his wife/co-owner, Scout Turner, continually strive to be the most trusted and referred painting business in Nashville. Originally from Murfreesboro, they now live in Franklin with their two dogs, Whitley and Cash. They provide both exterior and interior services for homeowners, commercial buildings and churches.
Dylan says both he and Scout grew up in small business with a heavy focus on customer service. "Creating extraordinary experiences, delivering on what is promised, and taking pride in doing so is what we strive for," he adds.
Brentwood Lifestyle caught up with Dylan to gather insight into their business just as he and Scout were leaning into scheduling jobs for the upcoming summer months.
WHY DO YOU BELIEVE CUSTOMERS TRUST YOUR PAINTING COMPANY OVER OTHERS?
Our lifelong customers, and new customers, trust CertaPro Painters for several reasons, including our professionalism, certainty service system, warranty, but most importantly, all of our customers know we care as if every project is our own home or business that’s being painted.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE CUSTOMERS GET EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE ENVISIONING AS IT RELATES TO FRESHENING OR TRANSFORMING THEIR HOMES OR BUSINESSES?
From the initial contact with our team, it’s very evident we only want the customer to tell their story once. We specialize in capturing the important details that make the process enjoyable. Detailed printed proposals capture exactly what we promise to the customer with expectations. We strive for excellence and clarity.
WHAT COLORS ARE MOST POPULAR, OR COMBINATION PAINT TRENDS ARE OCCURRING LOCALLY THIS YEAR?
There are so many different paint color trends and designs that make the final result absolutely beautiful. From new sage greens to soft whites, darker accents, and different looks for simplicity or extravagance; we approach each project with an understanding that we'll capture exactly what's desired.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE COLOR CONSULTATIONS, AND WHY ARE THOSE IMPORTANT?
At the end of a project, we want to see a huge smile on customers' faces. We want to see everything come together, and it starts with a lot of initial efforts being creative and not afraid to try several different ideas. Then, we use our experience to help the customer make a decision so it never becomes overwhelming.
DO YOU HAVE OPTIONS IN PLACE FOR WHEN RUSH JOBS ARE REQUESTED?
We have done several projects the day before a party has started, a meeting was going to be held, or emergencies. We have the capacity to do jobs in less than 24 hours of a customer reaching out.
ARE THERE ANY CHARITIES YOU ENJOY SUPPORTING? ANY VOLUNTEER PROJECTS THAT YOU PERFORM AS A TEAM?
CertaPro Painters is very involved in the community with schools, churches, Nashville Panhellenic scholarship fund, CASA Nashville, and Vanderbilt Firefly Program, among others. Giving back to the community is something we strive to do, especially because the community supports us so greatly.

TITANS' NEW GM

Ran Carthon Shares What He's Thinking About Future Football Plans And The Music City
Ran Carthon became the Tennessee Titan franchise's 14th general manager in January.
Previously, he served for two seasons as director of player personnel with the 49ers after handling five seasons as the director of pro personnel in San Francisco.
Ran, 42, was one of seven candidates to interview for the position with the Titans. "I want us to build the best team possible – a competitive, sound football team that Nashville and other surrounding areas are proud of," he says.
"We're excited to add Ran to our organization," Titans Controlling Owner Amy Adams Strunk states. "He brings a variety of valuable experiences to our team. I was impressed with his natural leadership qualities and ability to connect with people. With talent evaluation being critical to this role, the roster they've built in San Francisco stands out. He played an important role there constructing one of our league's best teams."
Ran's father, Maurice, also played in the NFL with the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts.
Ran himself played running back for University of Florida and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. He played for three NFL seasons with the Colts and Detroit Lions.
This new Titans' leader says he doesn't miss playing as much as he misses locker room camaraderie. "In my new role, I have to leave the locker room more to the guys and let it be their personal space."
So far, he says one of the toughest parts of his new job is being away from his family. "In terms of the job, I’ve been doing this for a while, but I knew things would come up that I had no experience with. In those cases, you lean on your mentors and people who've been there."
Football executives and former players Martin Mayhew and John Lynch Jr. are a couple of the advisers with whom Ran says he's fortunately collaborated.
Regarding Ran's main considerations heading into the NFL draft as a first-year general manager, he says, "The cool thing about this experience was having a partner in Mike Vrabel. He’s done it all before. Of course, there was pressure because this was my first time facilitating an NFL Draft as a general manager, but I had a lot of experience around me to lean on and bounce ideas off of.
We also had to just trust our board, and not allow outside circumstances dictate our plan. I think we did that well."

Ran says he's looking forward to exploring Nashville. "I’ve found a few places I already frequent, so I’m excited to keep growing that list."
Regarding hobbies, Ran quips, "If you ask my wife, she’ll tell you I have no hobbies. I have no life outside of my family and football. I do like music, though. I'm not musically inclined myself, but I appreciate it."
He says he relishes being around creators, so when he goes to Miami in the summers, he joins studio artists to just watch them create their music. "I’m looking for a studio in Nashville to engage with and spend time drawing inspiration from artists and musicians," he announces.
Ran's charitable interests lie in taking action on things that touch his heart. "I always want to lend a hand and show up for things that make an impact," he adds.
A good example of Ran's idea of support is the "Fatherhood Ticket Program" he created in Atlanta, which gives two tickets and two sideline passes to a deserving father.

"Usually kids write-in and tell us why their dad deserves it. We hear those stories about single parent households where dad wasn’t really involved, but you rarely hear the stories about where dad was involved and played a big role. It’s a great way to celebrate the men who are stepping up to fill such an important role in a kid’s life. I definitely want to bring the Fatherhood Ticket Program to Nashville. I think the community will love it," he says.
Regarding how his family's brood is getting acclimated, he says, "Our daughter is going off to college this year. I also have an assistant general manager in my house. My oldest son, at 6 years old, critiques every signing we do and every draft pick. My kids are amazing. I love spending time with them. Our house is always busy, and no one is short on opinions."
He shares that he met his wife, Heaven, during college in a Haitian-Creole class.
Ran's Father's Day tradition? "It's the best. I like to just chill out for the day. The kids will bring me breakfast and then I just have a relaxing day for myself."

NOT YOUR FATHER'S BBQ
Judge Bean’s BBQ
ARTICLE BY DELIA JO RAMSEYAt Judge Bean’s BBQ in Brentwood, it’s not your dad’s backyard barbecue, it’s a whole lot more than that. The South is known for its affinity for meats cooked low and slow, and Tennessee has dozens of options when it comes to that, but owner Nick Anneken and the team at Judge Bean’s keep people coming back with great hospitality and a style all its own, served in a casual spot right here in Brentwood.

Beyond traditional Texas-style barbecue and home-style sides, the menu has other nods to the Lone Star State with TexMex twang. To start, there’s "Texas sushi" — a jalapeño pepper stuffed with sausage and cheese, then wrapped in brisket. The legendary loaded nachos are a humongous spread, topped with your choice of smoked meat (the half order is plenty, promise). Find also smoky wings, salads, burgers, tamales, tacos, and sprawling samplers fit for a crowd. Just be sure and leave room for the homemade banana pudding, just like Grandma made, for dessert.
The bar here is a destination all its own, drawing many locals regularly with its draft beer and a full bar with cocktails like "Texas Tea" or their signature house-made margarita, aptly named "The Judge".
Over the years, ownership has changed hands a few times at the Texas-themed pit barbecue joint and saloon, but current owner Nick Anneken began as GM before personally investing, and his long history with the BBQ and Tex-Mex brand is more than evident in his passion for the food and the people at Judge Beans.

"When you come to Judge Bean's, we want you to feel at home. We want you to get good, home-cooked food straight from the pit, side dishes that will make your mouth water, and an experience that is unique to our place. That's a tall order, but it's a promise we do our best to make good on every day we open the doors. At Judge Bean's, a lot of folks say we have our own vibe. And that is true. We are not your typical BBQ joint. We are better than that." -Nick
