Then, we head into the kitchen with Chef Bill Coxwell of Sweet Azalea Gourmet Shop & Catering, who shares his delicious Ham Balls recipe — perfect for your next gathering.

We also sit down with Austin Wiley, owner of AW Electric, to learn how his skills, customer-first mindset, and strong work ethic have helped light up the community. And finally, we celebrate a major milestone with Daniel Morris, owner of All About Trucks & Autos, as his business marks 20 years of success. Daniel shares the lessons he’s learned along the way and what continues to drive his passion today.

This issue is a tribute to the gentlemen who work hard, lead by example, and inspire those around them. We hope you enjoy reading their stories as much as we enjoyed bringing them to you.

THE PERFECTCONNECTION

A native of the CSRA, Austin Wiley began working with his dad, who is also a local electrical contractor, in 2012. Through the years, Austin gained valuable electrical experience working on a variety of projects, especially with commercial and medical facility properties. While working alongside his dad, Austin realized that there was a true need in the area for an electrical service company that was willing to take on smaller projects and upgrades.

AW ELECTRIC ENSURES CSRA HOMES AND BUSINESSES HAVE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS THEY NEED TO RUN SMOOTHLY

“It seemed like everybody was getting a pool and they wanted receptacles and lights around the pool. They would call a company, but no one had time to do the job,” says Austin. “So in 2020, I got my license and started AW Electric.”

At first, Austin worked on projects during his off time but by 2023, he made the transition to working full-time servicing AW Electric customers. In the last two years, the company has grown to include more than fifteen employees.

AW Electric is a licensed and insured company that serves both residential and commercial properties. From small jobs such as panel upgrades and generator installations to larger projects such as commercial build outs and historical renovations, Austin and his team ensure that each job is done to the highest quality and standards.

“One of the things I stress to my guys the most is providing quality service,” shared Austin. “I tell them that if it wouldn't be done in my house, we're not going to do it in somebody else's house. We’re not going to cut corners or do substandard work.”

Some of the most interesting projects Austin gets to work on are historic renovations. “I love getting to see the project start to finish, especially when we do historic renovations,” he says. “We recently

finished a renovation on what was a parking garage downtown on Ellis Street that housed a guy’s historic car collection. Now it is the new home to the Augusta Players.”

For commercial properties, AW Electric specializes in LED uplift projects, where buildings and office space transition from older fluorescent lights to new LED lighting. Not only does the newer lighting update and upgrade the aesthetics of spaces, but it is energy efficient and is easily integrated with smart technology. Additionally, some power companies offer incentives and rebates for the uplifts.

Another very important service that Austin and his team provide are electrical safety inspections of both residential and commercial properties. These inspections ensure the electrical system is safe, operating efficiently, and in compliance with all local regulations.

“If you are not sure what up to code would look like for the electrical in your home, you can call us. We will send our service manager out and he will walk through with you and let you know where the electrical system stands in your home,” Austin explains. “Especially in older homes, people may not be aware of whether the electrical system has been updated. Sadly, a lot of people just aren't aware until it's too late.”

Last fall, Austin and his wife, Kaylee, saw their community experience extensive damage from Hurricane Helene. AW Electric stepped into the gap after the hurricane to get many homes and business electrical services restored during the immediate aftermath of the storm. Austin and his team spent countless long hours those first few weeks installing generators, reconnecting electrical meters, and repairing the electrical systems of homes. Months later, they continue to work with restoration companies as many people in the CSRA are still rebuilding after the storm while others are looking ahead to prepare for future emergencies.

AFTER 20 YEARS, ALL ABOUT TRUCKS AND AUTOS THRIVES ON DEDICATION, FAMILY VALUES, AND QUALITY

As All About Trucks and Autos celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, owner Daniel Morris reflects on the journey that has shaped his locally owned truck customization and accessories shop into a trusted name in the community. What started as a small family business has grown into a cornerstone for truck enthusiasts and owners alike, providing high-quality customization services like wheels and tires, lift and level kits, spray-in bedliners, and more. But as Daniel tells it, the secret to their success goes far beyond the products they offer—it’s rooted in passion, perseverance, and a commitment to building lasting relationships.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

For those considering taking the leap into entrepreneurship, Daniel has one piece of core advice: “Find something you love doing, and don’t stop doing it. The first few years running your own business can be tough, but don’t give up.” Starting any business comes with its challenges, and Daniel knows this firsthand. “It can take some time to get your name out there and figure out a system that works for you,” he explains. “A few important things I’d say are good customer service and advertising your business. Without those, you won’t get far.”

Daniel’s own experience speaks to the value of perseverance. He’s seen the ups and downs of owning a small business, but his dedication to his craft has kept All About Trucks and Autos thriving. "Good customer service isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we practice every day," he says. "That’s how you build loyalty."

The Reward of a Job Well Done

One of the most fulfilling aspects of running his own business, Daniel shares, is the satisfaction of seeing a project come to life. “A customer will come in and tell us everything they’re wanting to do to

their truck, we order the parts, and after we finish the work and show them the results… there’s nothing better than seeing them get excited and be satisfied with our work,” Daniel says with a smile. For him, the reward is in those moments when a customer’s vision is brought to reality, and they leave with a vehicle customized to their exact specifications.

It’s not just about the trucks, though. Over the years, many customers have become much more than clients. “We have a lot of loyal customers that have become great friends,” Daniel says. “We strive for our customers to feel like family.”

The Strength of a Family Business

For Daniel, one of the greatest blessings of owning All About Trucks and Autos is working alongside his wife and kids. “I love being able to come to work every day and be with my family,” he says. “We all work together really well, and we all have different strengths and skills that keep us running smoothly and efficiently.” Each family member plays a role that helps the shop function at its best, whether it’s handling the technical aspects of the work, managing the day-to-day operations, or interacting with customers, and their combined efforts have made the business what it is today.

Their ability to adapt and support one another has also helped them navigate the inevitable challenges of business ownership. “There have definitely been some tough times, but we always work through them together,” Daniel shares. “No matter what comes our way, we focus on what we can control and keep moving forward.”

Gratitude for 20 Years

As Daniel looks back, his gratitude shines through. He is thankful for the support of loyal customers, the opportunity to work alongside family, and the strength of the community that has been with them through thick and thin. “We couldn’t have done it without our customers, our family, and the community,” Daniel says. “It’s been a blessing to do what we love every day, and we look forward to continuing for many more years.”

All About Trucks and Autos has not only customized countless vehicles, but it has also built lasting connections, becoming a business the community can trust and depend on.
