1996, Millennium has grown to comprise a team of 24 carpenters, auto cad designers, cabinetmakers, support staff and apprentices, as well as a substantial crew of sub-trades. “Those 20 years have brought us a number of awards for projects that Millennium is proud to have designed and built,” says Mark Vaandering, director of sales and design and co-founder with carpenter/cabinetmaker Jeff Bruinsma. Over time, the company has also expanded its services. In 2005, it added a full-service millwork shop, providing clients with custom cabinetry. In 2008, it was registered as a representative with Tarion, regulating new home builders, and began to build custom homes. “As a result of those developments, home owners enjoy the convenience of having design, building permits, construction and interior finishes all completed under one roof,” Vaandering says. He adds that community involvement has always been important for Millennium, from hiring local professionals and apprentices to being involved with volunteer projects such as the annual Business Cares food drive. n
