It can feel like dancing isn’t for you , but science shows that getting down on the dance floor can actually be a great way to look after your head, heart and body.

We even got a shout out from the queen of dance and our ambassador Shirley Ballas: “Thank you to everyone at Ceroc for standing with CALM against suicide. Dancing positively impacts one’s mental health but seeing the community coming together to support CALM’s services is absolutely amazing. Thank you!”

Ceroc classes incorporate elements from a lot of different dance styles and the easy to follow sessions mean dancers at any level can join a class and even those who have never danced before can leave a class a more confident dancer. After the class experienced dancers are on hand, keen to help those just starting out on their dance journey.

There is much more to Ceroc than just dancing, it doesn’t just help keep people physically fit, it helps people to connect and combat loneliness. People join for a wide variety of reasons, the community is a safe and friendly space for people to come and relax and let their hair down for an evening. Maybe you feel nervous in social scenarios and are not sure what to say, are introverted and might feel intimidated in a group. Dancing gives you an immediate common ground for relaxed interaction and discussion of the class and practice sessions.

Ceroc DJs Play a range of music from 50s swing right through to the latest releases, so that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

So if you fancy having a go there is no need to book or bring a dance partner, just turn up at one of Ceroc Addiction’s venues across Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands where you’ll receive a very warm welcome. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
