uy in Grayshott (BIG) Chairman Dick Smith explains the success of the village as a two-way partnership: “Through BIG, over 50 Grayshott businesses contribute their energies, time and resources to a huge range of social activities and community groups. In return, the support of local people to Buy in Grayshott results in a flourishing commercial and retail centre.” Grayshott runner-up in the recent village of the year competition, is well-equipped with banks, hairdressers, doctors, dentists, solicitors, estate agents and opticians. When it comes to grocery shopping, few villages can boast a quality butcher (Kaighin’s), as well as a bakery, greengrocer, farmshop, and wine and beer shop (Grayshott Wines). For those extras there is a Coop supermarket and, from November, a Sainsbury’s Local. There is free parking.
