6 WAYS TO SPOIL YOUR POOCH

1. Offer healthy treats: Get healthy nutritious food for your dog that targets their specific needs and helps maintain healthy skin, joints and digestion.

2. Head to a doggy spa: In recent years, spas have opened up that give your pup the pampering it deserves. These include spa baths, mud treatments and conditioning treatments that will have your dog relaxed and looking like the supermodel it is.

3. Get a puppy pedicure: Glamourise your dog with a pooch pedicure. Give your pup a nail trim and grind so they can have the smoothest paws in town.

4. Take them to afternoon tea: Romantic meal

for two? Some hotels now offer a chance to take your dog for afternoon tea complete with doggy ice cream and homemade dog biscuits. You can even toast your friendship with a glass of pawsecco.

5. Buy some new clobber: The majority of dogs have collars, but many owners only replace these when they are broken. Why not treat your dog to a new collar that they can show off when going on walks?

6. Throw a party: If your dog isn't shy and has other pooch pals, why don't you throw a puppy party? Get all of your toys and treats out and have your friends and theirs round for a party that they will never forget.

Front Of The Pack

Banish pet hair

from the home

1. Brush your pets regularly with appropriate brushes

2. Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda over carpets and rugs before using the vac to deodorise pet smells

3. Remove pet hair from sofas by donning a pair of rubber gloves and brushing the sofa. This works well on stairs too – and helps if you rinse the gloves under water first

4. Wash pet bedding regularly – ideally once a week

5. As often as you can, get fresh air into the home by leaving windows ajar while at home

6. Use a damp microfibre cloth to wipe down hard surfaces
