I thought I’d write in to show a couple of pictures of the sort of things our Community Knitting Club produces. Since the inception of the Knitting Club at Crofton Baptist Church in January 2018, as at November 2021 we have delivered 1,739 knitted blankets and 981 Mittens for Special Care Baby Units at PRUH and Kings College hospitals. The angels (290) were a one-off requested project last November and we knit different garments depending on the hospitals’ requirements. At the moment we are knitting cardigans and cot blankets for premature babies at Darent Valley Hospital. I would like to say a big “thank you” to all our knitters for without them I could not achieve aims and goals which is to knit for a worthy cause. Not only do we knit but we do have social get-togethers too!
