Hello there my amazing LHS Key Clubbers! This is Justin Danao, Lindbergh’s new Key Club President! Being your new president and leading such a wonderful group of people is quite the honor! I promise to ignite a spark of passion for service in each of your hearts during my term, and if it is already ablaze, I will do my best to fuel it by providing volunteer events, after volunteer events, after volunteer events. I will do my best in leading you and continuing our previous President’s great legacy. As the school year comes to an end, exams and finals are lurking right around the corner, ready to bring tears of sadness into your eyes, and destroy your beautiful (or not so beautiful) GPA. I know that no one likes taking tests, or heck, even going to school, but it’s a part of life, so “get over it.” With that said, good luck on your studies everyone! To continue on with the sad news, one of our advisors, Mr. Mahna, and our seniors, is leaving us. Let’s not forget Mr. Mahna & his greatness as a math wizardteacher, one of our Key Club advisors, and a man. Here are a few of words of wisdom from him: “Get over it,” “Just because there’s a goalie, it doesn’t mean you can’t score,” and my all-time favorite, “x=(-b±√(b^2-4ac))/2a.” Let’s also not forget about our beloved seniors, whom we have made strong friendships and bonds with. They too will be missed. Okay enough of this sappy mumbo-jumbo. For the rest of us—the non-seniors, SCHOOL ENDS IN TWO WEEKS! Just because it’s summer time, it doesn’t mean you’re done with volunteering, oh no, OH HECK NO. This just means we get to volunteer even MORE! Be sure to check out summer events, as well as upcoming monthly meetings I will hold in the summer. Feel free to contact me or any of the officers! I’ll see ya’ll later! Yours always in Hunger, Love, Friendship, and Service, Justin Danao 2014-2015 LHS Key Club President

Hey Guys! :) We started this new term with amazing events that involved cleaning up parks as well as other fun activities! Starting off in the month of April was the 65th Annual District Convention! This year DCON was in Seattle, and was themed “Level Up in Service.” At DCON, we played many ice breakers, had spirit wars, and new officers learned their jobs. Also, our previous bulletin editor, Jenny Zhang, ran for District Editor and won. We had the Kiwanis Golf Tournament on April 9th; we went driving in golf carts taking pictures of the golfers and helped with the auction during dinner. On April 19th, we had Earth Day in Kent where we got rid of blackberry plants as well as planted 22 new trees. On April 26th, we had two events; Arbor Earth Day and our April DCM. During Arbor Earth Day, we planted plants around Coulon and did other enhancement projects. At the April DCM, we had an egg hunt and we meet the new officers from clubs around the Division. Moving into the month of May, we had Meadow Crest Playground; we planted trees and bushes around the playground to finish the landscaping. Our next event was the Green Work Party at North Meridian Park. At this event, we removed the invasive blackberry, holly, and ivy. After all that hard work, we added plants and finished off with mulch. On the 17th, we had the Spring Green and Clean, where we trimmed and removed plants to enhance the park. We also had the Renton Farmers’ Market Orientation on the 20th. At this meeting, we learned and got information on how to help the various vendors when you are volunteering at the Farmers’ Market this summer. To finish the month of May, we had the May Joint DCM with Divisons 22/24, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35 and D32 Dragons! At this DCM, we got to pie some of the Lt. Gs in the face, had a water balloon fight, and did a tennis tournament where all the proceeds when to the Eliminate Project!
