The 1-mile walk route will have water stops along the way for your convenience.
First, you must visit Ginny and congratulate her on her adoption after over 1000 days with LHS. You can find her with her adopter, Asden Davis, at the announcement stand or at the start of the Fun Walk. She will be leading us off!
Now, your Lexington Humane Society continues to go above and beyond to care for the homeless but hopeful animals in our community. Summer is a particularly busy time of year with thousands of animals looking to us for help. We are receiving a record number of large dogs leading to full kennels, increased workload on our dedicated staff, increased expenses, and challenges beyond what we have seen before.
Mutt Strut is one of our largest fundraising events of the year with the money raised coming at a critical time, when the number of animals in need is at its highest and donations are hard to come by.
Your participation in this fun event will provide much-needed funds which will allow us to save the sick, heal the injured, find homes for the homeless, and provide exceptional care for adoptable animals for as long as it takes to find them a wonderful new home.
We are entirely gift-based and rely solely on the generosity of our donors. YOU allow us to do all we do for so many animals.
Thank you for joining us today, being there for us tomorrow, and believing in us always.
