Page 1

The pool is for the use of all residents and their guests. To ensure everyone is able to enjoy the pool safely, we ask that you and your guests follow the rules below. Please keep this list handy and periodically review the rules, especially if you use the pool frequently.

1. Use of the swimming pool is always at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Always observe all signage, rules, and community policies. In case of emergency, call 9-1-1.

2. Management reserves the right to temporarily or permanently deny use of the pool to anyone whose behavior may jeopardize their own safety or the safety of others and to anyone who violates the pool rules.

3. Pool hours are 9:00 a.m. to dusk. State pool code prohibits swimming after dark in this pool and will be strictly enforced. Unsupervised solo bathing is prohibited at all times.

4. The entrance(s) to the pool must remain locked. Do not prop open any gates or doors or let unknown persons enter the pool area. All residents must use their own entry device to gain access.

5. Persons under age 16 and all guests must be accompanied by an adult resident (18 years or older) when inside the pool enclosure. Residents must use reasonable judgement regarding the number of guests invited to the pool at any one time and the ratio of guests to adult residents. At their discretion, management may restrict the number of guests allowed and require guests to leave. The pool may not be used for group gatherings (birthday parties, events, etc.).

6. Proper swim attire is required. Children, three years old and younger, as well as any child not potty trained, must wear snugfitting plastic pants or a water-resistant swim diaper.

7. Any person using the pool must take a cleansing shower using warm water and soap and thoroughly rinse off all soap before entering the pool enclosure. A user leaving the pool to use the toilet must take a second cleansing shower before returning to the pool enclosure. A person who exercises, uses the sauna, or applies lotion must shower before using the pool.

8. Any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited from entering the pool.

9. A person suspected of having a communicable disease that could be transmitted through the use of the pool shall not use the pool.

10. Persons with any considerable area of exposed subepidermal tissue, open cuts, blisters, etc., are advised not to use the pool due to risk of infection.

11. Spitting, spouting water from the mouth, blowing the nose, etc., in the pool is prohibited.

12. No running, boisterous, or rough play is allowed in the pool, on the pool deck, or in other common areas like the bathrooms. DIVING IS PROHIBITED.

13. Air mattresses, inner tubes, and all other large inflatable items are prohibited. Children who cannot swim must be monitored at all times. Water wings, floaties, swim vests, etc., should not be relied upon for safety.

14. Glassware or other breakable items that could shatter on impact are not allowed in the pool enclosure. Consumption of food or beverages is not permitted in the swimming pool.

15. Unless otherwise permitted by law, no pets are allowed in the pool enclosure.

16. Music may be played on the pool deck, but the use of headphones is strongly suggested. No loud music, yelling, or any kind of excessive noise is allowed.

17. The safety equipment is for emergency use only. Familiarize yourself with its location and do not use unless there is an emergency.

18. Help maintain the pool area by disposing of all trash and recyclables properly.

19. Management is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

20. If, for any reason, the pool is unsafe to swim in, it will be closed immediately. The pool will not re-open until management deems it to be safe.
