Army Stem Activity Day

On 2 February, Leweston had a visit from an Army STEM Team who ran two interactive workshops

The morning session involved Year 9 students designing, building and testing rocket cars The winning team's rocket car reached a top speed of 68 mph!

In the afternoon selected Year 7 students focused on problem solving in a disaster relief scenario This developed their teamwork and problem solving skills in addition to construction and programming of the robots. All involved had a really exciting time and we very much look forward to inviting the STEM Army team again next year
