Moroccan Marriage In Morocco the marriage celebration are organized depending of the family of the groom, the bride and the location, for example: the celebration is located in a hot place, the family of the groom like the hot places, but the parents of the bride like the cold ones so they have to decide. They decide these details in family, the families take this decision together. Moroccan women still pay attention in the traditional ways. The wedding dress is a caftan, a tunic made of silk, satin, chiffon and covered with a jacket.
PRE-MARRIAGE In the past, the marriage started 7 days before de day of the wedding, each day the families did activities but nowadays they reduce it to 3 days. The first day of the ritual the bride goes with her friends to the hammam, it is a Turkish bath: here the bride and his friends celebrate a hen party. In addition, the bride purifies herself to get away the yenun and genies because the wedding day is a moment to be ripe and happy. The second day they celebrate a family meal, previously, the bride will be painted with natural products, and a specialist woman in Arabian calligraphy will write in her body parts of the Koran and the Henna tattoos, they use to lose sight of the bad spirits. Henna tattoos are similar to a normal tattoo but the Henna is for the decorations of hands and feet. Basing on the Henna is a medicinal plant that take part in the Muslim culture and act like a talisman to eliminate the evil eye.
DURING THE WEDDING The third day, the wedding day, the bride gets inside the hall, accompanied by kettledrums and trumpets, her carriage is taken by four men, friends or a parent. Meanwhile the guests will drink milk and eat dates like a welcome to the ceremony. When the bride and the groom get married the party starts. In the middle of the party, the friend of the groom kidnaps the bride and they bring back to the house of the groom. The bride will be get with pleasures. Meanwhile the groom will read the Koran, when he finishes he will kiss the bride in the forehead, from this moment it starts the wedding night. Then they drink and eat milk and dates, it is a type of ritual that they do to have good luck.
AFTHER THE WEDDING The elder’s people from the party permit their children to choose the husband and the wife in the mosque. Nowadays, the dress that the bride wear is white dress, by a traditional striped of wool cape with different colours.
The next they of the wedding party, old participants go to the place of that wedding and when are in the place the bride show to old participants of the wedding the bed shit and if it has blood, confirm that the bride was virgin. The tradition also included that the bride circled her new house 3 times. Nowadays the traditions of morocco change and now the bride doesn’t show her bed sit to the participants.
OUR OPINION We think that it is so extranche this type of wedding because it is so long and because it has a lot of details that we didn’t know.

UKRAINIAN WEEDING PRE-WEDDING A typical Ukrainian wedding usually last 2 or 3 days. First, they choose in which church they are going to be married. Then, they make a list to know who they will invite. When they went out of the building the people throw sweets and wheat and then give those flowers and congratulations. Sometimes he releases those pigeons, because the pigeon is the symbol of peace, love and devotion and because it is the most considered for the event. Then they go to take some photos and they have a dinner with the parents of both of them.
FIRST PART OF THE WEDDING The first part of the wedding is the Blahoslovennya that means blessing. A few hours before the couple leaves for the church, the parents of the bride and the groom go to bride’s house for the Blahoslovennya. Later, the couple kneel down on a ritual material (Rushnyk). Then, parents bless their children, wishing them a happy and healthy life together. And it is there when the parents of both of them become one.
THE CEREMONY
The bride and groom enter the church together and almost the whole ceremony is singing not speaking. After that, the priest blesses the wedding rings and he puts them on a finger of the right hand to the bride and to the groom. At the altar, they spread a Rushnyk, which is the ritual material. And the Rushnyk symbolizes the hope that the couple will never face poverty. Later, to signify their union, the hands of the bride and of the groom are joined together with the Rushnyk. Finally, the crowning. At the crowning the bride and the groom put their right hand on the gospel. Crowns are put on the heads of the bride and of the groom and the crowns symbolize that they will be the queen and the king of their own family. After eating, the band begins to play and the people rose to begin to dance the Kolomeyka dance. The dance consists of a mixture of hops, kicks and circular turns.
