Our mentor this month is Anna Wintour, known for her leadership skills in “The Devil Wears Prada”. She says “own your decisions, own who you are, but without apology”. A few thoughts come to mind. Own your decisions! Trust that your decisions are the best ones you can make with the information you have available. It’s often said if we knew better we would do better. I find that to be true. If we make the right decision, great. If it happens to not be the right decision... it’s a lesson learned.
Own who you are! You are the unique cumulation of all of your knowledge, experiences, and relationships. You are the one and only, so embrace your style both personally and professionally and lead with your best heart forward. Without apologies! Trust that you have, and are always going to do your best. Being human means not always being perfect, and there is no need to apologize for being the wonderful, beautiful human being that you are. Stay blessed and beautiful!
