In Getting a Pellet Stove Heat is one thing that our body needs. People from all over the place from all era use heat to keep their body’s temperature. Ever since the fire was discovered, the early people craved for the comfort that the heat provides, they never stopped innovating and inventing bright ways to supply their needs. People had come up with different ideas that could somehow provide them comfort. Better things were given ways and it just keep on changing and evolving. And over the years, things keep on improving and just getting better. From the primitive camp fire style, to wood stoves, and now, the most common and widely use in industrial settings and homes are the pellet stoves. During the 1970’s oil crisis, gas fuel for wood stoves were scarce, this problem was solved through the invention of pellet stoves. Pellets stoves require only common and renewable materials for combustion. Saw dust and wood scraps were the most common materials. Let us first define pellet stoves. A pellet stove is a kind of stove that uses piled biomass or wood pellets. The pellets were place into a container called the hopper. The hopper

supplies continuously the pellet stove. This technology requires less human supervision and made these kinds of stoves very efficient. Pellets placed inside the pellet stove will just continually burn and continually provide heat. Pellet stoves were originally appeared like a plain box, but new innovations gave way to a more sophisticated and trendy decorative pellet stoves. A pellet stove is made up of conductive steel and other metal materials. Most heating system at home should be a lot of convenience and should cost less. Therefore, pellet stoves were generally used. Pellet stoves are adaptable appliances. It is very versatile and requires only minor supervision. A pellet stove is capable of self-ignition and continuously cycles itself. Modern versions of pellet stoves are equipped with remote control and computer system. Homeowners should be aware of their responsibilities in cleaning the pellet stoves. Pellet stoves should be free from creosote to avoid chimney fires. Creosotes are oily substances that could harden up in the flue. Older version of pellet stove requires high maintenance system. There are instances were fire travels to the hoppers and cause hopper fires. Sometimes, firebox can overheat so it is necessary to keep the stoves clean and organize. Choices of wood pellets should also be consistent to avoid serious damage of the

pellet stoves. A pellet stove can also be fueled by corns, sunflower seeds and other variety of seeds, grains, wheat and cherry pits. Pellet stove consists of a hopper, combustion fan and convection fan, an auger system, firebox, ash pans and safety features like switches and thermostat. Pellet stove is also equipped with heat sensors that automatically shut off the pellet stove if threatening conditions arise. It can be lighted manually or automatically. Pellet stoves are more convenient than any other stoves, but of course it requires electricity for the motor. It is one of the most important appliances at home because it provides great comfort and warm in times of chilly nights. So we should better take care of it.
