Accompanied by a Patek Philippe extract from the archives stating Movement Number: 1.113.279, Calibre: 27-460; self winding, Case Number: 2.621.535, Style: Reference 3435, platinum, Type of dial: Diamond hour markers, Date of manufacture: 1963, Date of sale: July 3rd, 1964, Bracelet/Leather strap: Leather strap. Ref. 3435 The popular Reference 3435, first offered in 1960, combined the rare attributes of a superb highly-jeweled, self-winding automatic movement and a water resistant case that does not incorporate the more typical screw down design but rather a specialized snap on back. The present example, with its platinum case, represents a tiny fraction of the overall production. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only platinum Ref. 3435 ever to be offered at auction with an original diamond-set numeral dial.
