Denise has been working as a silversmith since retiring from teaching some years ago. As a teacher of Resistant Materials, the transition to working with silver and gold seemed a natural one, but still involved many years of learning and acquiring new skills and techniques. She was lucky enough to spend several years being taught by a highly skilled metal smith, and now has her own studio at home.

Her designs are sometimes described as ‘quirky’ and she particularly likes asymmetry with much of her work having an ‘organic’ feel. She never makes two pieces the same, so any purchaser can be sure that no one else will be wearing their design. All pieces are marked with her own hallmark which is validated by the London Assay Office. Denise takes commissions and is happy to discuss customers ideas and requirements, so please feel free to contact her.
