Materials & Process Drawing is involved in all of Vincent’s work. He likes to sketch outdoors, interpreting what he sees with lines and marks. He experiences and observes things much more this way than split second photographs. It helps him to observe and to remember. Also, he loves the stories that some people give him about the subject matter concerned at the time. The sketches are often quite detailed, as he prefers to use this information, combined with memory, to produce his Indian ink drawings or watercolours and he plays with space.
