WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

What is the duration (of PR)?
FOR LIFE. Provided that the Property remains at the possession of the Applicant.
How is renewed?
By presenting the registered title deed of the property and submitting biometric data once every five years.
How fast can I Receive my PR?
From the day of receiving the Title Deed, less than 20 days IF the house is located in Chania, Crete, and approx. 3 months for properties in Athens and Santorini.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO SUBMIT?
1. Application (PR) form
• Three recent colour photographs
• Electronic photograph and fingerprints submitted in person to the local decentralized administration
4. Exact copy of a valid passport including the entry visa inside
5 Copy of the Purchase Contract (of a property with at least € 250.000) and the registration of Title Deed from the ‘Registry of Mortgage’.
6 Medical Insurance: covering the costs of hospitalization and medical care from a Greek Insurance company or international one.
1. Family Certificate from country of origin translated and certified,
2. Marriage Certificate (official and certified translation),
3. Children’s Birth Certificates (official and certified translation), provided that children are under the age of 24 years of age.
Where do I submit my application?
The submission of application is filed at the ‘Decentralized Administration’ where the Property is located and shall be signed by the Applicant on the day of submission. On this day biometric date need to be provided by the applicant. Provided that all the documents are valid, a certificate (‘blue card’) of filing the application is given on the same day. The residence permit is granted within 20 days.
Do I and my family have access to the Public Medical Care and Schooling?
YES, the public schools in Greece are free and you have the same rights to the public medical care as Greek people. You need however to have a private health insurance.
Can I travel from my country directly to the other Schengen countries without passing first through Greece?
YES
Can I buy one property with my friend?
YES, provided that each person contributes from €250,000 minimum, hence the price of the property must be at least €500,000.

A) The PR holders who have been residing in Greece for 7 consecutive years (180 days in each year)
B) A child born in Greece that has enrolled and is attending the A' grade of elementary school.
C) A child whose one of the parents has completed a continuous stay in Greece for 5 consecutive years prior to the child's birth.
D) A child unmarried and minor whose parents have acquired Greek citizenship.
E) Children living in Greece and have successfully completed nine classes (6 in elementary school and 3 in Gymnasium) or 6 classes of secondary education.
Once the child is 24 years old, the parents can donate the property to the child. This way the child becomes the primary PR holder and the parents can maintain their PR under the provision of the law for parents.
