When I think of messes, my daughter’s bedroom comes to mind. On any given day, her floor is littered with everything from glitter and cut paper to teeny tiny doll accessories. While accidentally stepping on those thumbtack-like doll heels is a pain, she’s a diehard Daddy’s girl so I can’t complain too much.

Over the years we’ve tried everything to encourage her to clean up and nothing has worked until we met our match: the Dyson V8 Absolute. It’s small and mighty, just like our pig-tailed girl—it’s compact and can easily be maneuvered around tight corners. With an attachment for every possible surface, it’s also our saving grace in the rest of the house where pet hair and dust bunnies reign. Rather than wrestling with a clunky vacuum, she actually enjoys tidying up— although I think her motivation is born out of the fear of losing her doll’s heels because she knows this sucker scoops up everything in its path.
