STEP 5 Now write some ad copy. Across the right side of the white bar, type RELAXING GETAWAYS and set the font to Arial, 16 pt, #cc9933. Then, just below the white bar, in Arial, 14 pt, #ffffff, type the words, [PICTURE SELF HERE]. If the white text isn’t popping enough, add a drop shadow effect. STEP 6 Even though you cannot adjust the pixels of a Smart Object without first rasterizing the image, you may still modify the image by editing the contents of that Smart Object. For instance, if your background photo needs contrast correction, you right+click/Ctrl+click on the layer and select Edit Contents from that layer’s context menu. This opens the Smart Object layer (as a new file with the .psb extension) in a second Photoshop window where you can make and save your changes. Once saved, the second window closes and the adjusted Smart Object becomes part of your project.
