Since 1970, our product range has followed a seamless thread: from the very first fans, Elicent policy to combine design, practicality and advanced technology is easy to see. In Lonato del Garda, Brescia, we carry out step by step all the phases of the industrial and logistic process: R&D, design, engineering, manufacture, testing and shipment. Besides, the whole production is subject to a severe computerized quality control system during assembly called SONAR, which certifies that fans are 100% individually tested.

GUIDELINES FOR A CORRECT VENTILATION Selecting the correct fan

To ensure sufficient ventilation is provided for a particular application, it is essential that the correct size of fan is selected. Selecting the correct fan depends on two main factors: performance and application. Decide which fan is suitable for your requirements by using the following calculation: 2. Find the fan performance which most closely corresponds to this result.

1. Find the volume of the room in cubic meters (length x width x height) and multiply it by the number of air changes required (see Table 1)

Example Room Bathroom Volume 3 x 2 x 2,5 = 15 m3 Number of air changes per hour required 10 Performance 15 x 10 = 150 m3/h Fan required * ECO 120 GF extracting 170 m3/h * considering an installation in direct exhausting in a short length of ducting (max 3 m).

Siting the fan correctly Fans should always be mounted in the furthest window, wall or ceiling from the main source of air replacement to ensure airflow across the room and avoid short circuiting of air movement. Air replacement should be ensured via internal grilles in the door, ceiling or wall. Fans should be located as high as possible in the window or wall nearest to smells or steam, but not directly above eye-level grills or cooker hoods. If installing in a bathroom, the fan must be located where it cannot be touched by a person using the bath or shower and far away from water sprays. It is recommended to use a fan with an IPX4 protection and in zones 2 or 3. Alternatively, Elicent range of 12 Volt S.E.L.V. (Safety Extra Low Voltage) is designed for the safe ventilation within the splash area (zone 1)

Choosing the right Elicent fan Elicent has a complete range of extractor fans able to meet any specific requirement. Axial fans are designed to extract large volumes of low pressure air directly to the outside and over short distances (max. duct length 3 m). Suitable for wall, window, duct and roof application.

Centrifugal in-line fans have a powerful centrifugal impeller and their special shaped housing allows the air to be drawn over its axis (in-line). Suitable for duct installation.
