HIV affected
persons are tending the garden and the proceeds are harvested regularly and distributed to affected families. •Council is involved through the HIV/Aids committee in the local hospital. The Municipal Aids Committee supports the HIV AIDS wards in kind by assisting with special projects related to education, mainstreaming and moral support. A previous request for renovating the ward was referred to Council who decided to rather support by investigating the possible donation of an ambulance to the state hospital. The investigation is ongoing and the results will be submitted for consideration in the fiscal year 2009/10.
