This qualification will help you understand what dyslexia is, the key characteristics of it and how it is diagnosed. This course is for anyone who would like to develop their awareness of dyslexia. You will learn methods of supporting the learning of individuals with dyslexia. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of how dyslexia can affect individuals. You will also learn about the different methods of assessment used to determine if an individual has dyslexia. Progression may include other continuous professional development courses or you could explore other roles within the workforce for example, working closely with those with dyslexia.

This qualification delivers knowledge of babies and young children from birth to seven years with applied knowledge in 0-5 years. It gives you the licence to practise as a Level 2 early years practitioner and is ideal if you want to work with children aged 0-5 years while learning about children up to age seven. This one-year programme includes embedded English and maths, access to ESOL support and coaching tutors and 250 hours of work placement. Progression may include the NCFE CACHE Early Years Practitioner Diploma Level 3, NCFE CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning Certificate Level 2/3 or employment.
