Have faith and strength as your opportunities are endless and your future bright at CSU Fullerton. Always remember we love you and got your back. Love Always, Mom & Dad
Congratulations. I am so proud of the wonderful young man you have become. You will always be the sunshine of my life.
Love, Nana
If you know Haley Ann Weir, you know that smile and love she has for life. Being around her you may not know what a difficult life she has endured. From day one of her life she has had to fight. She was born with down syndrome. As scary as that may sound it was a blessing in disguise. That girl has rocked that extra chromosome her whole life. At the age of 10 she was diagnosed with a grapefruit size tumor on her kidney, a Wilm’s tumor. Having surgeries and chemo treatments, she still remained happy and hopeful. She battled long and hard for 2 years. In and out of hospitals, missing holidays and birthdays, shaving all her hair off and being isolated from her family for weeks so she wouldn’t get sick, but none of that mattered as long as we got to spend another day with her in our lives. Her cancer ended up coming back in 2012 and she was sent to Stanford Hospital for a little over a month to have a stem cell transplant, our last hope. Even on the brink of death she was smiling and dancing through it all. In May 2013 she was diagnosed cancer free! On May 30, 2018 she celebrated being 5 years cancer free. We would like her to know how absolutely proud we are of her! Thank you to everyone who supported our family throughout this time. She’s cancer free, graduating high school and turning 18 this year. This is just the beginning! She truly is an inspiration and we all love her so much. She touches other people’s lives simply by existing.
We all love you so much! Congratulations Haley Amazing and Class of 2018.
